  • Connect to projector remote control

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L645-S4102, running Windows 7 and an EX5210 EPSON projector.  I am able to connect to the computer with the printer using a USB cable to show a POWER POINT program.  Images of the projector and the sound works fine.  But the the projector remote control does not work.  I have to use the arrow keys on the computer to move to the next slide.  Is there a way to set up my computer to pick up this remote?

    It hurts.

I don't understand what you mean by "a PowerPoint to JPEG", but I suppose what you mean is that if you have a PowerPoint saved on a USB key and plug this drive to the USB port on the projector, you can control the presentation using the remote control.

However, if you have a PowerPoint saved on the computer and then connect the computer using a cable between a USB port on the computer and the USB port on the projector, presentation displays via the projector but the remote does not work to move the slides.

Just to make sure that things work properly if not, unplug the projector from the computer and start the presentation that your friend wants to show.  It should display on the computer screen.  Advancing slides when you click the left button of the mouse?

When the projector is connected to the computer, have you tried all the other keys of the remote control?  In other words, the arrows (on the remote) move the cursor on the screen?  The Enter key act as a left mouse click?  The key is ESC acts as a right mouse click?

Note that as work around might be not satisfactory, you can copy the presentation from the computer on the flash drive and use it the way you did in the past.  Or, as you have already done, use the arrow keys on the computer.

I understand that the the User Guide for your projector says

If necessary, configure your computer to work with an external USB mouse. See your computer
    documentation for more details.

but I've never seen any system that requires a special configuration to use an external USB mouse.  All the ones I've seen that work as soon as they are installed.  If your remote control does not work as a wireless mouse, chances are that it never properly installed.

In addition to the advice 'configure your computer', Epson FAQ on this subject says "make sure that your computer is selected as a source. Press the button of the computer on the remote control to select your computer as source"- but if the computer has not been selected as source, you would not see the screen, it's probably not the answer.

If any, occurs when you connect the projector to the computer and turn on the projector?  You hear any sound or see a brief message pop up?  Do you remember if you hear or see anything the first time you connected to the projector to the computer?

With the projector connected and turned on, go to the computer and click Start, type "Device Manager" (without the quotes) in the search box and press ENTER.

Look through the Device Manager and if any device displays a warning icon, click twice on this device and to report (a) the full name of the device and (b) the full text, presented as "State of the device.

If there is no warning icons, follow these steps (it's a bit of speculation on my part, because I don't have a projector like yours):

    • Click the triangle to the left of "Human Interface Devices" to expand the category.  Report the full names of each item in this category
    • Click the triangle to the left of "mice and other pointing devices" to expand the category.  Report the full names of each item in this category
    • Click the triangle to the left of "Human Interface Devices" to expand the category.  Report the full names of each item in this category
    • Click on the triangle located to the left of "De Bus USB controllers" to expand the category.  Is there an element with a name similar to "(USB) driver Microsoft mouse and keyboard detection"?
    • Browse through the categories and see if you can find a question relating to your Epson projector.  I don't know which category this might be it's not in the above 3 categories.  If you find it, please report (a) what category it's in, and (b) the full name of the device.

    EDIT TO ADD

Your computer is connected to the Internet when you plugged the projector to the computer?

Is your computer connected to the Internet now (or can connect if you want to do)?

I ask these last two questions because it dawned on me that maybe by "configure your computer," Epson means that you must install the driver for the remote wireless mouse function.  Although it is possible that such a driver is embedded as part of a normal installation of Windows 7, it is more likely that when you plugged the projector to the computer, Windows would tried to access Windows Update to find the right driver.  Describes user guide the CD supplied with the projector as just "documentation projector" Epson must wait until the driver is built either in or is downloaded from Windows Update.  Alternatively, you can download the driver directly from Epson--> http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?UseCookie=yes&oid=188471&prodoid=63091522&infoType=Downloads&platform=nodetect

  • Palm TX cannot connect to WLC4404 wireless network

I work for a small junior College and I'm having a bit of trouble getting a Palm TX handheld unit to connect to our wireless network. I hope someone can help me solve this problem.

Six months ago, I created a WLAN (other than broadcasting, WPA / PSK and TKIP) for three digital assistants; everything worked very well. Two weeks ago, I upgraded the software on our controller wireless unable to connect 4.2.112 to the 5.2.193.0 version and now the PDA version. Maybe it's a coincidence... I know not dion. Someone suggested the possibility, and it seems appropriate.

Documentation for handheld computers say they can use WEP or WPA / PSK.

I tried to connect the PDA with 1) no security/authentication at all, 2) WEP and 3) WPA Personal. The unit I tested will connect to an airport of Apple and an ad hoc network on my laptop. I'm going home tonight and test it with my wireless Netgear N series router.

I read a little on a Palm TX Enterprise Security Update. The Palm device does not belong to the school that I work so I can't launch the update to this topic

This appears in the log after I try to connect:

  • HP 7680 connection to a wireless - out

I have a printer all-in-one of HP7680 for about 9 months. Through this time, I tried various methods to connect the printer to our home wireless network. Each approach works with manual intervention - no solution has worked reliably. We only print or use the printer on a daily basis, but more than occasionally. The main problem we have is that the printer will work for a day or two, then when you want to print something 2 days later, the printer does not respond. A restart of the printer or the client device network he wakes up enough for this print job.

Here are the configurations that we tried

Approach 1 - network - adapter Linksys game client

Connect to HP printer via ethernet to a wireless client port. Although this configuration has worked for installation and configuration, it would stop working after a few days. I played with different settings of the adapter Linksys game like having a static or dynamic IP address. It did not matter. We could send print jobs to it, but then after a few days - it would interrupt work - time to restart the adapter - which has sometimes worked. Other times, should be a reboot of the printer as well.

Approach 2 - Airport Express customer

Connect the HP printer via the USB interface on Airport Express client. Customer Express airport would recognize the printer, we could print to it, everything seemed good. Then, after a few hours of non-use of the printer, the Airport Express stops recognizing the printer. Same situation - restart / re - connect the printer on the client - then it works again.

Has anyone found a configuration with a wireless client card that will work more than a day or two? It seems to me, that change must occur in the configuration of the HP printer, but I didn't know what it is.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    James

I recently bought a Stor.e wireless adapter for use with my partner Stor.e 1 TB HDD laptop but I can't seem to connect to my laptop.

If I plug the HARD drive directly into my laptop everything appears also ok but if I connect via the wireless adapter that shows nothing. the instructions that come with the adapter are very poor, but after following the instructions stating "plug drive HARD adapter using the USB cable then plug taken adapter (AC power), the LED flashes of HARD drive and the lights on the wireless adapter showing 1, 2 green, solid = power, wireless = 3 green, strong." USB = blue.

The disc shows hard on my Android phone and the android Tablet but won't connect, when you perform a scan for wireless on my laptop devices, the adapter cannot be found.

I sent twice, the support from Toshiba on July 5 and July 10, but have not received the courtesy of a response although confirmation of receipt of my e-mail, so for them we will get back to you in the DAY a statement.

    Hello

Stor.E WLan adapter extends a USB HDD with the ability to access data stored via a WLan connection.
This means that you must activate your WLan on your laptop and configure the Stor.E WLan adapter first.

The 3 LEDS have the following meaning:
Above 1 LED is on / off and lights up green if the adapter is running
The LED 2 is WiFi link and turns green where wi - fi access has been established.
The 3rd (first from the bottom) lights up blue when the HARD drive is mounted. Flashing LED means read/write mode.

    How to connect?
Connect adapter to Canvio Stor.E WLan adapt to the B USB 2.0 (near the reset button) microphone connector and connect the USB HDD to the type A USB 2.0 connector.

You will need to activate the laptop s Wlan and press the reset button (hold it long 4 sec). The Wireless settings, you should see the Canvio Stor.E open wireless card that you connect access point.

Then, in the Web browser using IP address: "http://198.168.65.1" to access the settings page of the Canvio Stor.E wireless adapter.

In the preview, you can see the current version of the firmware, storage devices, network access point information.

The list of devices shows detailed information on connected devices.
Within the network, you can find the devault sotre.e wireless adapter network settings

Now, you can use an Android application called Toshiba Wireless Adapter to move files on the HARD drive connected to the WiFi adapter from your smartphone.

You can also map the card wifi as a network drive in Windows system.
In type of Explorer: \\198.168.65.1. then right-click and choose map network drive.
In a new window, select the application letter to the new drive (Z) and click the Finish button.

RE: Unable to connect to other wireless networks

    • My computer is a HP Pavilion dv7 1232nr Entertainment Center
    • My OS is Windows Vista 64 bit
    • I have installed many things over the past year, but know that at some point, I was able to get on free Wi - Fi in hotels

I am able to connect to my network, but when I try to connect to others, I'm unable to do. I have their password and my computer SHOWS I have a connection, but actually I'm not. When I try to connect to the Internet, the server is not found. I called the support/supplier for the last network owner and he told me that even if I "thought" I was online, I really wasn't. He said that it is probably a router configuration for that person that does not correspond to my computer. As I was just visiting, of course I didn't mess with their router. This happened to me twice, with once the provider is the same as mine, but the only way I could get connected with a hard link.

So far, the only thing I did is to see if I could connect to free wireless (municipal library) and was unsuccessful. I think the problem is with my settings, but am not sure. I have to be careful to change anything because I can't afford to lose my connection at home because my job depends on it.

    Any suggestions?

Thanks for any advice you might be able to share.
