Prevent the synchronization of .htaccess file

Is there a way to prevent synchronization of certain types of files in Dreamweaver 8? Currently, I need to look at the .htaccess like a hawk, so I don't end up with it on my hard drive. It is STILL part of the synchronization process changes or not.

The benefits of being able to skip certain types of files from synchronization extends well beyond my problem. This ability would be useful to a large part of the user base. For example: it's nice to be able to push or get the webserver .zip files, rarely would someone that they are part of the synchronization process. I'm sure you can think of many other cases.

Thank you!.

Taken from the help of DW-

Cloaking excludes cloaked files and folders from the following:

Performing operations Put, Get, Check In, and Check Out
Generation of reports
Find new remote files local and newer
Execution of operations within the site, such as checking and editing the links
* Synchronization

That would help?

    There are about 10,000 and 20,000 files I have to remove to get about 300 MB of space each day

    How to prevent the creation of these files in Firefox

    Here are the files from cache. Basically, it takes Web sites that access you a lot and records bits of them so they'll load faster the next time you visit them. • A way to prevent the first writing of file extension added to the XMP file names?

    Hello world

    I'm having a problem with the creation of sidecar XMP files that I hope you can help me with. I found that, as a general rule, the XMP sidecar files created in Adobe applications are named the same as the original file, that they are associated with, only with a different extension, for example add metadata about the file IMG1234. CR2 in Lightroom creates the file IMG1234.xmp . However, in Premiere Pro, adding metadata against CLIP1234. MXF creates one CLIP1234. MXF .xmp sidecar.

    We are wanting to use a dam at our office (Daminion) for all our assets (photos, Photoshop and Illustrator files and videos). Ideally, it uses XMP to manage metadata and can automatically recognize the XMP metadata created by Adobe applications - except metadata added by first. In this case, I have to manually remove the first extension in filenames sidecar created by first for Daminion to their affiliation with their corresponding video files. It is a royal pain and prevents any exchange of metadata without seam between the two programs.

    Is it possible to stop the Premiere Pro adds the extension of video to the XMP file format? No other work around?

    Thanks in advance!

    There is no setting for this in PP.

  • Is there a way to prevent the deletion of a file during CHECKIN services?

    My scenario: I am creating a service that takes the current latest revision and creates a new one, using the same metadata and content. I'm almost done. The lack total that when I called the service (CHECKIN_SEL) the file whose path I provided in the parameter primaryFile:path is deleted. Of course, I can create a copy in the ~ temp directory, but I would rather prevent deletion. I have also observed that the log contains a line:

    (internal) / 6...    Files to remove: /app/domains/content/ucm/cs/vault/document/2001.zip

    I tried to analyze the service and I found the intradoc.server.DocServiceHandler.addFiles () method. This method calls another method, deleteFilesInDeleteList, in which the files appear to be deleted. It is, however, also an event filter, preDeleteFilesInDeleteList, triggered. So I created a filter code to undo the deletion, if certain conditions are met. The code looks as follows:

    public int doFilter (workspace workspace, DataBinder dataBinder,
    ExecutionContext executionContext) throw DataException,
    ServiceException {}
    BinderSnifferFilter.traceVerbose ("PreDeleteFilesFilter");
    Vector v = SharedObjects.getOptList ("dontdelete");
    If (v == null) {}
    return 0;
    }
    String prevID = dataBinder.getLocal ("prevID");
    If (v.contains (prevID)) {}
    BinderSnifferFilter.traceVerbose (prevID + "is confined (-1)" ");
    ((Map) executionContext.getCachedObject ("lockedIDsList")) .put (prevID, "1");
    Returns - 1;
    }
    BinderSnifferFilter.traceVerbose (prevID + "is not confined (0)" ");
    return 0;
    }

    Tracing orders help to confirm that the filter returns-1, I also found this thread:Re: what event of java filter is to remove which mentions the updated object cache of lockedIDsList .

    However, none of this seems to prevent deletion.

    I also tried to find a class that adds the "" files to remove: ' message in the log, without success. "

    Finally, I tried to lock the file by changing the owner/group/permissions in the file system. Curiously, the service has failed (the system could not read during CHECKIN), but in the end, the file has been deleted in any case.

    have you tried to change binder.m_tempFiles? You should be able to change the vector before cleaning module is called.

    Note: I have not tried...

  • Prevent the synchronization of podcast of position and played state across devices

    We're two people with two iPhones who share an Apple ID. Individually, we listen to some of the same podcasts on every iPhone. The status of "done" and the current position of podcast episodes seem to get Sync between phones at least from time to time. We don't want to happen, because we're going to listen to the podcasts individually. I tried to avoid this:

    1. Settings-> Podcasts-> Podcasts Sync is DISABLED on both phones.
    2. Podcast synchronization turned OFF for phones on iTunes (Windows).

    We do both synchronize with iTunes regularly to update apps, music, etc. One solution is probably to get a second Apple ID, but I prefer not.

    Implement an ID separated from Apple. Really.

  • Prevents the creation of class files "shadow" FB

    Hi, all.

    I mentioned it Flash Builder to a Flash xfl file to create a Pro Flash project.

    my workspace is to

    Leda/CGS

    the xfl is to

    leda/SCG/VJTPlatform3/Core/PlatformTest/PlatformTest.xfl

    For some reason, Flash Builder has created a directory to leda/SCG/PlatformTest which he calls bin-debug. Would not be such an issue, but what happens is that it creates a copy, so each error or warning has two copies.

    If I double-click on an error, I can get a file I can edit (I mean, I can change either, but one of them will have a real effect), or I can get the version of "shadow". In addition, when I run the application in debug mode and want to stop and solve a problem that I see, I can't do it directly from the file I am looking at, since it's always the version of "shadow".

    I can solve this during a few minutes along the path of building and set the output in the same directory folder, I work in, but it comes always to the time where I'm not looking. I do not understand why FB has create these files. When I'm working on a Flex project, she not dumping as files in the bin-debug directory. Is what happens because I'm working on a Flash Pro project, or is there some other difference that I don't see? More important still, how should I do?

    Best regards;

    Amy

    It would seem that you have a problem with PageMaker. Don't forget that PageMaker disappeared a few years ago. People with a license for PageMaker had a possibility to migrate to InDesign.

    Thus, an obsolete app like PageMaker is not supported by contemporary applications (i.e., Acrobat) or OSs.

  • PDM-files: is it possible to prevent the creation of files .tdms_index of LabVIEW and tiara?

    Hello

    is it possible to prevent the creation of .tdms_index files when opening/creating/editing of LabVIEW and tiara a .tdms file?

    I think that I have no advantage in the .tdms_index files, because our applications create many small .tdms-files (repeated measures). With .tdms_index files, we have unnecessary memory consumption and it takes longer for Windows Open the containing folder. Also it s confused when you search for a certain file.

    Best regards

    Daniel

    Hi Acer,

    I'm afraid there is a direct way to disable the creation of file .tdms_index now of LabVIEW and tiara. You can use the API Advacend TDMS in LabVIEW, which does not create an index file, or you can just do a simple programming and remove the .tdms_index file after closing the PDM file.

    This is a request for a long time, we will consider adding this feature for TDMS in future versions.

  • How to force the connection sharing network and update password for the partnership offline synchronization of existing file?

    I use Windows 7.  When I connect to my VPN, I sync to a network folder.  I have an existing installation of offline file partnership to synchronize.  Often, it takes a while after that I connect to my VPN for Windows in order to get account I am connected and are trying to connect to the network share where the "synchronization of offline files" option, likewise, becomes available.  I have no way to force a try.  I tried to leave the computer at night and it connects.

    The other problem is that it means that I can't access all the folders not synchronized because when I try to connect to the network share server, it only shows the files offline.  He's not trying to connect to the real server.

    Now, I have a new problem.  I changed the password on the server.  Now when windows determines that the network share is available to sync, and I try to sync, I receiver a sync about login/password error.

    1. is there a way to force windows to try to connect to the share?

    2. How can I change the password saved?

  • Expectations extended on synchronization of log file while the parallel writing journal is fine

    We have 9.2.0.8 as experiences of long waits on the database log file sync (average waiting time = 46 ms) while waiting for the log file write Parallels is very good (average waiting time is less than 1 millisecond).

    The application is of type middleware, it connects to several other applications. A single user in a single application action train several requests to send back through this middleware, so he needs response time of db in milliseconds.

    The database is quite simple:

    -It has a few config tables that the application reads but rarely updated

    -She has table TRANSACTION_HISTORY: the application inserts records into this table using Insert einreihig (about 100 lines per second); each insert is followed by a validation.

    Records are kept for several months and then purged. The table has only column VARCHAR2/NUMBER/DATE, no LOBS, LONG, etc. The table has 4 non-unique single-column index.

    The average line length is 100 bytes.

    The load profile does not appear something unusual, the main figures: 110 transactions per second average transaction = 1.5 KB size.

    The data below are to 1 hour interval (purge wasn't running during this interval), physical reads or writes physical rate is low:

    Log buffer is about 1.3 MB. We could increase the log buffer, but there is no log buffer space waits, so I doubt this will help.

    Newspapers in recovery have their own file systems, not shared with the data files. This explains the difference between waiting avg on parallel writing of log (less than 1 ms) file and db file parallel write (27 ms).

    Restoring logs is 100 MB, there are about 120 journal switches per day.

    What has changed: the pads/validations rate grew. Several months ago there were 25 inserts/validations per second in the TRANSACTION_HISTORY table, now get us 110 inserts/validation per second.

    What problem it causes application: due to slow down the reaction of the basis of the application (Java-based) requires discussions more and more.

    MOS documents on synchronization of log file (for example, 1376916,1 waits for troubleshooting "log file sync") recommend to compare the average waiting time on synchronization of log file and the log file parallel write.

    If the values are close (for example log file sync = 20 ms and log file parallel write = 10 ms) so expectations are caused by nits IO. However, it is not the case here.

    There was a bug (2669566) in 9.2 which resulted in underreporting lgwr parallel time of writing to the log file. I was talking about September 2005, during which the bug was present in 9.2.0.6, reported 10.1 fixed in: file parallel journal written (JL Comp) it is possible that your problem IS written to the log file.
