PRINT BIGGER

When printing some pages on the internet, the type is very small and difficult to read. How can I set the printer to print bigger characters?

Of what you tell me that's not a problem with the printer or the web browser of your print.  It is formatted the way the web site.  The only thing you could do would be to change the scale of the web page is printed.  The option may not be supported by the printer.  To increase the size of the print job click the "print" key to bring up the print window.  In the print window, click Preferences and open the printing preferences window.  In the printing preferences window, click the effects tab (the tab that you need can be labeled differently).  On the effects tab, you will see options for resizing.  One of these options is % of actual size.  It allows you to scale the printed image larger or smaller, that will make the text bigger or smaller.  The only problem with it is you won't know if too small, it will print until you print, and you have to guess on what size to scale it.  However, it is the only way to work around the problem of size.  Hope that helps.

    Hello

I've been shooting photography years but have never really printed one of my photos. I am now interested in some of my images print on canvas using Costco. I have so many questions, it's not even funny. I would appreciate help in the understanding of the whole process.

    Here is some background info:

Camera used: Sony a700 (12 MP)

    Software used: Adobe Lightroom 3.x

    Here are my questions:

    (1) in view of my camera, what realistic size paper print to? I would like to print some 24 x 36 canvas (although I think that the closest Costco size is 20 x 30). It's all just too big?

    (2) am I supposed to resize the image, and if so, should I put it in the same size as the paper I want to print to?

    (3) should I leave "do not expand" button unchecked and what ppp parameters?

    (4) should I use the option to output sharpening, and if so, what options for canvas print?

    (5) is not that I know how it works, but does not offer Lightroom proofing. How can I tell how far the impression will be how it appears on my calibrated monitor?

I'm more confused by the "Sizing of the Image" section in the Lightroom export function. I've seen suggestions do not resize and others said the opposite. Situations in which you would like to resize? I tried three different situations of resizing:

    (1) no resizing

    (2) resizing to the exact dimensions of the canvas that I want to print (20 "x 30") and clicking on the button "do not expand.

    (3) resizing to the exact dimensions of the canvas that I want to print (20 "x 30") with "do not expand the ' unchecked

The two first exported JPEG were identical, but the third was much larger (20MB file vs 7.3 MB for the other two). How would be treated two different file sizes when printing?

A lot of questions, and some would require better Costco!

    (1) for good quality prints at least 240 DPI (Pixels per inch) resolution, you should better be 300 ppi. To get the maximum print size you can do without the magnification of the picture you simply divide the pixels that offers your camera by 240 (or 300 as the case may be) and get the max size in inches. For example: If an image gets out a camera with 3000 x 2000 pixels and you want 300 ppi print you will get a maximum of 10 "x 6.67" print. 240 DPI you would get 12.5 "x 8.33". If you want a print bigger that, and you can't go lower in the ppi, you will need to enlarge the photo.

I don't know what resolution print Costco wants, you need to ask them.

    (2) you must resize the image, unless Costco would do this - ask them. But I'd do it myself. For resizing, you choose the dimension of the image itself, not the size of the paper/canvas. So, if you want an 8 "x 10" print on paper letter (8.5 x 11) you would resize your image to 8 x 10. Only if you print without borders image size is equal to the size of the paper.

    (3) If you need to enlarge your image to get the print size you want (see above), you must leave the key unchecked. If you have the print sizes equal or less than that of the image file, the button does nothing. If you want a sense of the size 24 x 36 you must enlarge your image, then so do not check or you do not get the size you need.

    (4) I don't know. Ask at Costco if they do any sharpening. I guess. Sharpening for print on canvas is probably not too critical because the roughness of the surface of the canvas will be a non-affutage effect. I would start with and .

    (5) Costco prints probably sRGB (I guess), so it's a good idea to export your images as sRGB. If you do not have Photoshop for ever you can only guess. My advice: don't go overboard with the saturation / intensity. If you have Photoshop softproof it there before sending it.

Finally: Why not let you do a small print first and see how sharpness and colors work out?

    Hello

In the print dialog box, you would get options to resize your document.

Try them and see if that helps.

Once you choose the print option, it would give options to change the size of the page you need.

Please check and see if it suits you or not.

  • in all programs too small print. How can I make it bigger?

For some reason, the printing letter got so small, that I can hardly read it. How can I make the biggest letters?

    Hi Mary,

I understand that the font size is too small, when you print from the printer connected to Windows 8.

I'll be happy to help you, if you could provide the information needed to help you.

    (1) what is the brand and model of the printer?

    (2) is specific to a particular program?

    (3) remember you to make changes prior to this problem?

I suggest to check printing preferences and check if you can resize the fonts to print.

I also suggest you to follow the steps given below and check if that helps.

    (a) open the document that contains the text you want to print in large format.

    (b) click and drag the mouse over the part of the text you want to enlarge. To increase the size of all the text, click on 'Edit' and then 'Select all' from the menu.

    (c) click the dropdown next to the name of the font. There will be a number inside, which is the current size of your font.

    (d) select a number greater than one already posted to increase the font size.

Hope that the information helps, if you have additional questions or for any question related to Windows, do not hesitate to post. We will be happy to help you.

    Erin,

The purge is necessary only if you have an object of colored background which should extend to the edge of the final paper cutting and is used to meter inaccuracies.

So probably you can simply remove the purge.

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

The font size of header and footer is still low. Last time I looked, I couldn't find a way to replace the default size of 10 others to choose a font that is intrinsically superior to Times New Roman as your default serif font. See: can I possibly enlarge the headers and footers in the "Page layout" menu of Firefox to make bigger it so I can see it better... or is this something I won't have to deal with being so SMALL. I don't check for a complementary solution; You can try looking for one on the Addons site.

As the position on the page, some printers don't allow you to get all the way at the edge of the sheet. If that's the problem, you might be able to fix in the General settings of your system for your printer dialog box. I don't see a way to access of the Mac print dialog (Firefox print dialog screenshots in this article: How to print webpages in Firefox), so that you may find in Control Panel.

If this does not work, there are certain preferences that Firefox stores with names similar to the following. In these environments, 25 = 1/4 inch (the value is divided by 100).

    • Print.printer_BrandX.print_unwriteable_margin_top
    • Print.printer_BrandX.print_edge_top

To modify these, you can use the subject: configuration preferences editor. In a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful. Then use some of the more unique terms (for example, unwrit or edge) to filter the list.

  • How to make the font bigger

I just bought a Dell computer with a 27-inch screen. I can increase the size of the print in windows, but that seems to have no effect in Firefox.

How can I make the TEXT bigger so that I could see it on the big screen?

    Thank you, crazy

It turns out that the toolbar in windows 8 is down at the bottom of the screen and hidden. He ended up with alt (not 10, however).

I don't know how I did it, but I finally found a few addon option that would download and managed to enlarge the font. For Mozilla base pages, at least. Not yet for enamel. However, since internet explore makes any big, I'll just use it for email.

I do not give up, but I guess that the e-mail program has a clean mind.

You have been helpful, although I am also not a geek, I don't know what you're talking most of the time.

Thanks anyway for me to get through this.

  • Printer: Where can I get the latest driver for my printer

    Hey everybody,

Just got a new PC and I need the latest version of the software for my printer printer, where can I get that?

    Thank you

    Bill

    Hello

If you have an HP LaserJet printer, go to http://www.123.hp.com/Laserjet and download your software.

For most other printers HP, go to http://123.hp.com and enter the name of your printer. For example: "HP Deskjet 3752" or "HP OfficeJet Pro 8720".

    * Do not look on the Internet for the web site of HP 123! There are many other sites not HP here try to capitalize on the name of HP. HP provides your free software... Use the links above!

If for any reason, the 123 links do not work, you can visit the HP support site and download the software:

    1. Go to hp.com/drivers and select your language / local if necessary.
    2. Enter the name of your printer in the box under enter my HP model number.
    3. If a page appears asking you to select your exact model of the printer, select the link for your printer.
    4. On the page of software results, change the operating system to match the one you need (number 1 below)... he could already be selected.
If an operating system is not listed, HP doesn't have any software available for your printer.
    5. Select installation software label to expand the section, if it is not already expanded, and read the name of the software (number 2).
For Windows, if you want the complete package for your printer, you will want to download the software "Full Feature". For LaserJet, it will be called drivers and software "full." The complete package is much bigger in file size and takes up more resources, but she understands as a window of easy-to-use do things such as sweeping or check the ink and toner levels.
    6. For Windows, HP provides often a base driver package (Figure 3).
The basic package is much smaller and is often available for several versions of Windows as a full package of features. With it, you use Windows to print and scan directly from the software you use, such as Word, Paint, photoshop, etc...
    7. Click on the download button to start the download (number 4).
    8. Read and respond to the screens that pop up to install your software.

    I hope this helps
