  • Blue screen error when you try to print Adobe PDF files

Original title: the computer crashes when I try to print Adobe PDF files.

I unintalled and reinstalled remains 9.3.3 and it still won't print. The OS crashes when you try to print a .pdf file. I can open the document and view the file but not print, just the blue screen and restarts. I opened a word document, print and print text files. It will print anything but Adobe files. Is there any help out there?

Thank you for your support and help Sicard. I finally got to the last version of Adobe as the culprit. It seems that the latest version 9.3.3 was causing problems. I uninstalled the software, cleaned the registry and other remains and installed the various editions of Adobe. Seems that Vista likes only one software version which proved Adobe 8.0. Once I installed the software, found a few .pdf documents and tried to print. Not only did it print well, it was very fast. Of all the places to find the 8.0 Adobe has been installed on my recovery disks. I don't think Microsoft product (s) are the root cause. Something in Adobe was the cause of the crash. I have the error message has not write against accidents, but it dumped memory and restart is fine, no conflict of driver. Only thing I did after each accident was to defragment. the hard drive and RAM by using certain tools. Vista ran fine since. I know a lot of people out there do not like Vista, but I did have a lot of problems with the software. I found problems with other types of competing software and work with software developers using their products in beta. The crash of the problems were not these beta products. I believe in keeping software simple and effective, it seems that Adobe will conversely making it too complicated software and an application's entire concept.

    Thanks for you help,

  • Printer Adobe PDF (copy 1) added for no reason. OXPS in PDF of print does not have all suddenly.

I got a note that Acrobat DC updated this morning.  I have now two printer Adobe PDF on my system - the second one is called "Adobe PDF (1 copy).  If I try to print with the original ' Adobe PDF' printer, it works at all.

If I try to print files OXPS using "Adobe PDF (copy 1)' - which is something I used to do all the time - the text becomes complete gibberish.

Adobe has broken something and it must be fixed.  Yesterday, everything was fine.

Thanks Nicknameforme.  No luck with these settings, but I was able to remedy.  Our problem was not confined to just OXPS.  It has been create/print to PDF using the Adobe PDF printer.

    Here is my assessment:

    PROBLEM / ISSUE:

Windows 10 machines with Adobe Acrobat DC.

There are files in the spooler of the Adobe PDF printer with errors.  Automatic update ran into Acrobat that could not fully remove/update the 'Adobe PDF' printer because of these queue files and created new printer 'Adobe PDF (copy 1)'.

There was only 'Adobe PDF (copy 1)' in the devices & printers in the Control Panel, but both that and 'Adobe PDF' appear in the list of available printers when you print a document.  The 'copy 1' worked locally, but not save to a network drive.  The original of 'Adobe PDF' did nothing.

    SOLUTION:

    1. manually, clear the print spooler to remove old files stuck in the 'Adobe PDF' printer through the command prompt.  (These commands are for Windows 10. They will be different for earlier versions of Windows)

-Start menu > right click on the app 'Command' and 'run as administrator '.

    -Type "Net Stop Spooler.

    -Press enter

    -Type ""del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q " "

    -Press enter

    -Type "Net Start Spooler".

    -Press enter

    2. remove the 'Adobe PDF (copy 1)' in devices and printers in Control Panel

    -Right click > "remove hardware".

    3 reboot (recommended)

    4. run the wizard to repair Acrobat.

    -Open Acrobat

-Go to the Help menu > 'Repair Installation '.

    5 reboot (recommended)

It still worked on multiple computers with the same problem

  • Printer Adobe PDF is deleted when the computer restarts

I use Adobe Acrobat X with a Windows 7 platform.  Whenever I restart my computer, the 'Adobe PDF' printer disappears from control "printer and peripheral area.  To reinstall the printer, I need to go through the help > routine to repair the Installation of Acrobat.  Is there a way I can fix this so the printer Adobe PDF 'twigs' when I restart my computer? Thank you.

    Hey peterg63910540,

Please try to install the printer manually & then check whether or not it is deleted after the reboot.

  • OfficeJet 6700 does not print Adobe pdf

I have a brand new 6700 OfficeJet fine print Word documents. It will not print a pdf from Adobe. The printer begins to cross the motion, but stops and comes out blank. I converted the same file to the word and it printed like that. All other functions work well. All solutions?

    Hello

Do not click on properties, you should see an Advanced button at the bottom of this screen, click on it.

Check the print as Image option in this dialog box, and then click OK, to check if that helps.

If you use another software that Adobe Reader and that you don't see these options, make sure claridy what application used to view the PDF file.

  • Storage/printing adobe .pdf files

Recently, when trying to print a pdf file (from XP Home Edition w/Service Pack 3 installed and Adobe Reader v 9) I manages to get a print file and the printer spooler. Rather, I am redirected to a dialog box to store this file in a folder/catalog of my choice. The printer I'm trying to get is LAN (cable connected) to the XP machine and is available in WiFi for Vista and 7 machines and print the file in question without the problem of these machines. The XP machine prints from other types of files (doc, xls, etc) without any problems.

  • The printer Adobe PDF not saving settings do not

I'm working on a Windows 7 machine and I can't seem to save the settings of the Adobe PDF printer. When in "Devices and printers" I right click on the 'Adobe PDF' printer and select "Print Options". In the Print Options window, it is sometimes a button 'Apply', when this window opens, the "Apply" button is already awaiting press opening, which is strange because no changes have been made to the settings but that should apply. When I try and change the 'Adobe PDF output folder' to record in, the 'Apply' button will sometimes gray and I can't tap it, other times it is clickable but does nothing (I go back in these settings and they have changed back to their default values after clicking 'Apply').

I'm having this problem on 2 machines running Windows 7 and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.

All attempted to bugs, all unsuccessful:

    -Updated Adobe Acrobat

-Removed and manually added Adobe PDF Printer Windows "devices and printers".

And one of the machines has a new installation of Acrobat 9 Pro, completely intact/unchanged and he immediately had the problem. I have several other machines with the same configuration (Win 7, Acrobat 9 Pro) and they all do not have this problem.

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Dave

Okay, found the question so I thought I would post it here in case someone runs into it in the future.

It was a registry permissions problem. The user has not been permissioned to change the registry entry located at HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Distiller\9.0\AdobePDFOutputFolder.

To FIX: Go to start--> type "regedit" in the search to access the registry editor and right-click on the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ folder, select 'permissions', search/add your username to the list of permits to users, ensure you are permissioned for "Total control" by checking the box under 'allow', click OK and you should be all set.

  • Printer Adobe PDF 'printing' corrupted characters

Acrobat Professional v9.5.0 (Acrobat reports there is no update available)

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I print various applications and web pages on my 'Adobe PDF' printer to save things in the form of PDF files.

In the last months, I started having problems with my Adobe PDF printer. This problem has happened twice just yesterday, in fact.

I will be looking at a web page and choose to print it as a PDF (for example, an invoice). I provides the name of the file and choose to print and Acrobat to display the newly created PDF file, and there characters corrupted in various places.

If I try to print in PDF format again, I get the same results.

However, if I print the article in the Microsoft XPS format, it works very well and all the characters are readable.

I don't know what to do. I saw an article on embedding the fonts, but it seems that all the standard "web safe fonts" are already set to be incorporated into the PDF file through Distiller (if that is what is doing printing to create the PDF file). If I have to choose fonts to embed in the PDF, it seems extremely difficult to determine which fonts are used by each site or application by selecting all the manually to be incorporated into the files.

Surely, there must be a simpler solution to this question.

I too had this annoying problem, usually printing of https sites, although the address of the site could be a coincidence.

    What worked for me was:

    1. Select Print
    2. In the print dialog box, select Adobe PDF , and then Preferences.
    3. In the Print Options dialog box, the tab should be Adobe PDF settings
    4. Clear the rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts
    5. Select OK

If the box is already disabled, it can be caused by something similar. It worked so I went no further. I have not yet checked to see if this must be done each time or how to do it by default.

  • Printer Adobe Pdf has stopped working after update to Acrobat DC

Hello, I installed Acrobat DC yesterday. Since then, printer Pdf Adobe has stopped working. It always gets stuck to software verification fonts printing source just hangs and I have to force its closure.

I tried to uninstall the printer and manually install, repair the installation of Acrobat, but nothing has changed.

So is - anyone help me? Thank you.

The fixed! So that's how I did it. As I said Distiller crashed when loading fonts. I noticed that, it crashed after loading the "Colonna MT" police, so I removed the police immediately after Colonna MT in alphabetical order. After the removal of the police, everything works perfectly.

If someone else should be useful, name of the font in question is com (sRB). Don't know why it causes Distiller DC crashing, or why it didn't happen with previous versions of distilling, but that's all.

    Thanks for your help.
