  • HP photosmart C7280 gives error "ink system failure".

This printer has been a problem from day one. We couldn't it works like a wireless network, so we bought and used a rigid cable. Often the buttons had to be postponed several times. I was and am still not very computer and kept thinking that the problem was my inexperience. Now, I realize that there has probably always been something wrong with the printer. I don't use it very often. The problem was intermittent and I rarely had an ink system failure. I thought that could have been hits power, but we have it on a surge protector which never jumped. Today, for the first time, while trying to follow all the sugested patches, I got to do my first abnormal termination because I couldn't turn the printer off in any other way. It was a very expensive purchase for us and it will be a challenge for us in the trash it. Of course, it is out of warranty.

There are a growing number of messages in this forum and elsewhere in the internet with the steps to do a reset on different printers.  Reset to will sometimes fix problems, so resetting is not the issue.

A few resets require you to enter key combinations to open special menus on your printer that you were supposed to never access.  These special menus are used by developers and staff support for debugging of problems, but they are not intended for inexperienced users and can have unexpected results.  A wrong button push and you might no longer have a printer, but rather an expensive paper weight.  On top of that, if you happen to the 'brick' the printer in this way, it is considered as customer induced damage and voids the warranty automatically. These resets are only intended to be distributed and used as a last resort and under the direct instruction of a representative of the HP technical support. They should not be made lightly!

  • OfficeJetPro L7680 print not Cyan (with no error message)

    Hello

I have a HP OfficejetPro L7680 AIO.  It is 2-3 years.  It has original print heads and replaced the HP ink cartridges.  BLACK is XL ink, I'm starting to buy the XLs for other colors, but I generally by the combo packs for the best prices.  I use to use domestic (mainly documents/newsletters) and probably replace ink every 6 months.

For the holidays, I was working on a Photo project for a neighbor, print a photo 8 x 11 (on paper until the final version was made).  AKA, I was printing a LOT of ink, MANY times in the day.

The CYAN BLUE ink is low and must be replaced (as usual).  I replaced the INK with a cartridge (which may have been 6 + months since I buy the combo packs).  The saved printer of ink FULL and continued to print.

Approximately of 10 runs later, BLUE printing stopped in the middle of the image.  I couldn't make it work since.

    I have:

    • Restarted the PC and printed in different applications
    • Different PC print
    • Print-out of Internet connections and USB
    • Printer unplugged (for 30secs) and rear plugged in.
    • Pull out/Pushed backwards in the ink cartridges and printheads
    • Ran printer tools: cleaning print head, head alignment, test Pages
    • Bought and installed a new cartridge Cyan XL
    • Print "several" more photos on paper & photo - in the hope of blocking are sorted?)
    • Left unplugged for 30 minutes and restarted (recently) printer

Altogether, the printer displays no error message.  Prints documents still printer with work yellow, Magenta and black... just the Cyan is not printing.  At other times (for example when the ink is too low), the printer displays an error message and prevents any impression until the issue is resolved.

What do you think happened?  Do you have any other ideas?

The only things left that I can think of is that the ink line is blocked or the print head is blocked.  How can I check this before spending $ 70 for a new print head, which is a big investment without knowing if it will work.

    Thank you

    -Jason

The print heads will probably be replaced. Just to be safe, go through the documentation below the link. To replace the print head, you need to contact technical support.

I'm happy to make you and everyone (which could face the similar question) know that the problem has been resolved with the help of the HP support. It was a problem with permissions in the registry.

  • First elements 11 installation failure with the error on the shared technologies

BEFORE the 11 installation with error failure "the installation process has encountered an error during the installation of the shared technologies. If please restart your system and try again"what is is to uninstall everything and I have to restart with the same error and we continue. So far the only way it works is to point the "error message" I run Task Manager and stop the installation program, I know it leaves the files that must be removed by the installer, but it worked. This information was acquired on one of the forums and it seems to work. Yesterday, it was the first time that I really used it fully, and even if I was able to create a project, I can't go out as a file (mi/gal), it starts out ok then throws an error and fails. As PREVIOUS 10 was still installed I imported the project (which surprised me) in PREVIOUS 10 and output as needed without error. This may be due to something being improperly installed or not installed in the PRE 11, I don't know. Can anyone help

    Thanks in advance!

Since it is a new installation, the best way to solve this problem would just reinstall Windows.

The community forum is more oriented to home users where the Technet forum is aimed more at business users. Due to potential complications with a domain environment, it is why you have been asked to create a new post.

  • HP Officejet 6500 e709a: ink system failure

I just ordered a new print head due to the failure of the error ink system I get is after exhausting all other avenues that HP offered the extent of troubleshooting.  How HP can justify pricing $75.00 for a printhead on a printer that sells for $150.00 is beyond me, but this is neither here nor there.

My question is this: is it possible to use other functions (scanning, fax) while I wait for the part to arrive?  This is a printer of business and these functions are essential for operations on the day the day.  Beings it is Saturday may save some of the headaches.

    Hello @MattNC79 ,

    I hope you are well!

If the printer is in an error state, like her application the print head must be installed, or there is another message that has the printer, you probably won't be able to perform all the other functions. The best thing to do is try to do what you want to do and see if it works.

  • HP Photosmart C7280 - failure system error ink: 0xc19a0035

My printer has recently started to display an 'Ink system failure' error: message of 0xc19a0035.  This prevents print, scan, copy or fax.  Restart the printer (shut off the current, leave for 60 seconds, turn it on again) clears the problem but after a few minutes, the message reappears again.

Since the HP Solution Center, I followed the instructions on the hp site to correct the problem, but they do not work.

My printer has the latest drivers and works very well when you're printing.  I ran the Self Diagnostic Test and it produces excellent quality results.  However, a few minutes after the power to the printer on I get the message ink system failure.

It's great when it works, but becoming a real nuisance having to turn it off, turn it back on it just print a document.

Any help / advice would be appreciated.

  • OfficeJet 6500 E709n: Failure of 6500 all in one ink system

Recently inherited a 6500 all in one and installed this AM.

Everything was going fine until I had to print a test page.

    Error: Ink system failure.

The manual says disconnect power and reconnect after 10 seconds.  This did not help.

When I ask to print, it says printing the error message and then it makes a grinding noise - in that order.

Then an error message appears on my pc computer screen.

This printer has been moved from one House to the other - it would have something to do with the message or the squeaking noise?

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you for your suggestions.

I had 2 problems: ink system failure and grinding.

The solution you provided workd partially - that is to say, I can print now but...

First of all, concerning the failure of the system of ink - the operating manual supplied with the machine to stop the machine, unplug from wall, waiit 10 sec and reconnect.

I tried and it doesn't work.

The ground ' n you provided (from HP for the SAME model as my machine) gave another way to reset the machine - turning machine on, unplug the machine, unplug the unit from wall, wait 15 sec, wall plug, machine to reconnect.  In that order.

Similar, yet very different and IT WORKED.

    So thanks for that.

But the machine still makes a grinding noise that lasts about 3 seconds.

I press print, paper flow, paper comes out of the printer, and then there's grinding hard.

Back then a series of sounds as if something has been reset.

All very very different from my previous 960C that is turned on when I printed and do not grind or reset of sounds.

    Clues?
