printing from Mac to HP Laserjet 5100 dtn without internet

Hello

I have a Mac Book Pro using OS X 10.5.8 and a HP Laserjet 5100 dtn. There is no Internet in my room. Is it possible to send files using an ethernet straight cable on my printer? How can I print? Thank you for your help.

Christian

Yes, that's a bit what I thought would happen.

You have a router wired or wireless?  It should not be connected to the Internet to work.  It will assign the printer an IP address and your Mac will be happy.

  • Printing from MAC for Deskjet 3050 ALL in one J611n - printer "Not connected" error message

    Good afternoon

I have problems printing my MAC Book Pro to the printer above.  I said that it is not connected and prints However, when I checked status it shws Networkas "Ready" and the connection as "active"? He doesn't seem to know if it is or isn't?

I had this problem before on occasions, but now it is a permanent one after upgrading my operating system to 'Maverick '. Now, I have what you call love at first sight bridge on my MAC and don't know what it is for! This has something to do with it? Love at first sight does not appear connected either?

It's a real pain and I think to get rid of my printer without wire-HELP!

In addition to the above, I noticed the following error message when I try to print:

    Device status: unknown

    I.D. service: unknown

    I.W Version: unknown

    Serial number: unknown

Driver version: 2.3.1 HP inkjet driver (why this displays when it's a Deskjet 3050 J611n?)

    Product number: unknown

    I.K no 658

Watch the device Staus and office as "Unknown".

3rd update me! In the HP utility is see two printers?  The other has all the full details above with serial numbers and all the info. Watch Staus 'idle' and our 'good '.

I see that I had 20 veiws and no answer!

I am new to Mac and not very techno, however I seem to have solved this problem myself.

I think that after turning to 'Maverick' on my Mac OS Lion, duplicate the printer as 2 showed in 'utility '.

"I basically deleted that was not'online ' or 'connected '.

    Problem solved!

  • HP p1102w: printing from Mac OS 10.10to hp p1102w wireless

Wireless printing failed. When I go through the process to put in place the enemy wireless with USB connection: when I click HTML configuration, I can't go any further, and an error message is displayed as follows: this page contains the following errors: error on line 6 in column 47: entity 'nbsp' not defined and the error on the column of the row 12 8 : opening and ending tag not correct: link to line 0 and head. Help. MY OS IS 10.10.3. And the printer is HP p1102w. REPEAT HELP

    Hi @Eoj25karfuno,

I see that you have problems running the HTML configuration. I'd love to help you.

Make sure that Safari is set as default browser. (sometimes the SAP will not open if it is not set by default)
Open Safari, at the top, select the Safari menu, select Preferences, general, as a default value.

Restore the settings of the default printer Wireless:
    1. turn off the product.
    2. hold the wireless button and the Cancel button and then turn on the product.
3 press and hold the buttons until the printer stops making noise, then release the buttons.

Print a Page of Configuration to ensure that IPv4 and SSID are deleted from the old settings.
    Print a Configuration Page.

Remove the printer in printers and Scanners and add it again. You may need to click the P1102w in the drop-down menu, do not use the default driver.

Here is a screenshot, it is a printer model different, but just to show you what it will look like.

Follow this document to reconfigure the printer via the wireless network.
Set up your printer for a wireless network for the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer.
Under OS X v10.10 Yosemite, OS X v10.9 Mavericks and OS X Lion mountain v10.8 Select method three: using a USB wireless setup.

If you are still having problems loading of HTML, update the firmware of the printer configuration Page.

Unfortunately, there is not one available currently to 10.10, but if you have 10.9 or less or a Windows computer, you can update the firmware in this way.

If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the button below the thumbs up.

If you're still having problems, please let me know. Thank you.

I can print the HP utility diagnostics, but I can't seem to get any Mac application to print anything. The pages are always hang in the queue with an unspecified error. I tried ALL the recommended procedures for the diagnosis of this problem, but nothing has worked.

I have proposed several times, and it often works.  Make sure that your OS X is healthy:

2 download and install the Apple for Mac OS X v10.6 HP printer drivers.

  • Cannot print from MAC on Photosmart Wireless B109n

    Hello

I'm struglling with my new B109n-f printer to print wireless configuration.

I have it set and the wireless network test report give it one of good health (pass on all points).  In addition, I am able to print wireless from my windows XP PC laptop.

I am struggling with the installation on my OS Leopard 10.5.8, Macbook Pro.  I followed all the steps and when I come to add the printer in the press, and fax settings I see his IP address field and select it.

He responds by saying: it is a valid address and complete.

There is a field for the "tail" but it's empty, and he says: 'leave blank for default queue. "

No drop-down options menu will appear.

When I close these preferences and return to the Setup dialog and click on continue he informs me that I did not create a print queue.  He advises me to come back and repeat the steps (that is to say delete the printer and add it back in print and fax the same settings if there is no additional box for the print queue.

I tried to add the printer LPD and IPP (the instructions don't say which is correct but niehter seems to work).

If I complete the installation by ignoring the message from the queue to print the printer appears in the list of printers (such as its IP address).  If I select this printer and try them and print them, I get the printer HP dialog box that bounces on my toolbar with an alert.

When you click on it tells me that host 192.168.0.105 network is busy and retries it in XX seconds.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you very much

    Rob (London)

Found the problem.  It should be set to the option of HP Jetdirect and LPD not or IPP printing.

It would be useful if it was in the manual.

Hope this is useful to someone else who has a similar problem.

  • "Save as Adobe PDF" missing from the dialog box print from Mac

I've just upgraded to a new machine, and the "Save as Adobe PDF" option is missing in the PDF menu in the print dialog.  I'm on Mac OS 10.8.3 and SC 6.  I think that Acrobat X is supposed to automatically install this option in the main print dialog box; What can I do to get it installed if he stays out of the initial CS6 displays?

I don't think that the Automator application is obsolete. It works for me on two computers that are running the latest version of Mac OS X 10.8.3 and Acrobat Pro XI. Maybe there is a problem with Acrobat X Pro and Mac OS X 10.8.3.

You can try to uninstall Acrobat X Pro and reinstall to see if the Automator application works.

Additionally, make sure that you update Acrobat X Pro to the last update.

  • Error 49.60FF on 4240n when printing from Mac

It recently came to me and another user. She was on 10.5.8, I'm on 10.6.1. Whenever we would print in duplex, the printer hang with the 49.60FF error.

After much experimentation, I found that the problem occurred when printing using a preset, which was how we had two set up options duplex. After deletion and recreation of the presets, everything was fine.

I'm guessing that a recent update to pilot pushed by Apple is incompatible with some of the data stored in older Presets.

Trying to mark it as resolved. I hope someone else finds the information above useful.

  • I can print from an iPad 4gl to HP8600 pro without a wi - fi network

I'm trying to develop a capability to print on a HP 8600 pro from an ipad in a place that has no network except the 4GL that comes with the ipad. From what I've read online, the 'Direct HP Wireless' function will create its own network to allow this communication.  It seems that the HP 8600 pro has this feature.  However, I can't find out much about it. Anyone can check it should work: a 4gl ipad and no network to the 8600 pro printing.

    Hello

You can tell this way, may be a hot spot.

    Kind regards.

  • Print-up Mac OSX

I have a printer HP Photosmart 7510 I share PC and MAC printing. I have a Macbook Pro that is currently running OSX 10.8.2. When printing from Mac, I can't seem to find the printer option which allows to select either before printing backwards or backwards forwards impression. All other options are available. When printing with the PC, this isn't a problem. Yeserday, I downloaded and installed the latest drivers for printer HP from Apple. The file name is HewlettPackardPrint2.13.dmg. After installing the new driver, the problem remains. This is a minor problem when you print a large multi page document, I would like to be able to select back to print, but this option doesn't seem to be available. Is it possible that I could put the back to the front for this printer's default printing option and just leave that he defined?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello

The application used to print, open the print dialog box, and then click the drop-down list below (wll usually appear under the name of the application (e.g. TextEdit, as Copies & Pages within the suite MS Office).)

Select paper Handaling and set the order of the pages as inverse.

You can save the default settings by clicking the Presets menu, and then save the current settings as a preset.

Once you print using this preset, it will remain the default until another preset will be used.

    Hello again gssjwilson ,

I see that you still have a problem with printing on the Web.

I have another suggestion.  Try printing from another web browser.  If you use Internet Explorer, please try using Mozilla Fire fox or Google chrome.

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

    Thanks again for your time.
