• Slow printing from batch file

  Windows 7 (32-bit), I have a batch file that prints on the printer network HP LaserJet Pro P1606dn via lpt1 mapped.  I see that the printer gets the impression that the light will blink.  The problem is that it is 3-4 minutes before the page is printed.  Printing from a windows like Notepad is not slow.  I used to do this from a Windows XP machine without problem. What is I found out is that if I include a jump (hex 0c) in the file, I print back then printing is fast.  Any ideas on what I can do outside including a form feed?

  That being said, you could try to experiment the various settings of default data type in the part Print Processor of the tab Advanced of the dialog Properties of the Windows printer that uses your target LPT1: port.

  for example, change from RAW to RAW [FF appended] or RAW [FF auto].

  I have no idea if it will work.

• Help print target raw profiling!

  I know that it has been beaten around, but I'm looking for help and the latest information on printing from a target of raw for printer profiling. I have problems getting a decent target to the profile.

  First PSCS4, OS x 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard), Mac Pro Tower, printer Epson 1400 ink jet with Epson Claria inks. Driver is the driver for the Epson SP 1400 series. Nozzle check and head alignment are very good.

  I printed a file without RGB test strip tag four times on the same sheet of glossy paper. This file includes 21 steps of gray, four of each of red, green and blue and three of cyan, magenta and yellow. I use this file to help me choose the best driver settings when creating RGB printer profiles. In each case, the Epson driver used the same exact settings, with color management set to color adjustment number. Here's the dialog box settings of PS I've used in each test print:

  1. without tag line, without color management in the print dialog box

  2 untagged file, printer manages color, RelCol, no PCBS (according to Eric Chan, rendering mode is ignored in this mode)

  3 file tag ARGB, Photoshop manages colors, profile profile of destination ARGB, RelCol, BPC value off the power.

  4 file tag profile sRGB, Photoshop manages colors, on the profile of destination sRGB, RelCol, PCB shuts down.

  I've been suspicious "No. of Photoshop color management" for some time in Snow Leopard for cause reported OS override, etc, but I wanted to compare the four methods above. Items 3 and 4 above were reported as workaround on the Luminous Landscape site.

  I found that the methods 1 and 2 (MR and printer handles) were very close between them, within spectro error and generally less than 0.5 Delta E. point 3 (ARGB ARGB) should be identical, since it is a conversion from nowhere, but he is very different from 1 and 2. Point 4 (sRGB to sRGB) was different from the ARGB for ARGB conversion and also different from 1 and 2 by the widest margin. Holy smokes, people! So, at least with the PSCS4, OS x 10.6.8 and the Epson 1400, Luminous Landscape workaround doesn't work. While the 1 and 2 seems to be a very good match, I don't know if they are the FIRST two exact output, or that both are the same thing and even erroneous.

  I just want to create a profile of fools. I've been studying and using color for 15 years, so I'm not really new in this kind of things.

  I try to print from the web browser firefox or a pdf document and files will not be not print and are removed from the queue after about 30 seconds. I tried the browser google chrome and they print well from there. This problem just started today.

  Make sure that you do not print in a file selected and the correct printer is selected. You can see these settings in the "native print dialog" window when you do {Ctrl + P}.

• The browser crashes when I try to print from a specific Web site

  Yes it of true - cut for at least a minute, then turn it back on. I get a very similar problem with mine, and reboot the router always does the trick, hope if it works for you.

  you could try pressing and use 'ctrl' then 'P' on your keyboard
  We also write 'ctrl + P', it's the printing system wide combination of shortcut keys.

  Alternatively, you can try, right-click in the title bar (where your loading tabs) and selecting 'Menu Bar', which will show the menu bar (with file, editing, display, etc.) on the tabs allowing you to print from the submenu file

  Since you are always able to print from other applications, specifically other Microsoft Office applications, then it seems that the printer does not work as expected. This is good news!

  When you print from Outlook, make sure that your printer is turned on and that you have selected it in the print of confirmation dialog that appears when you start printing.

  If you continue to have problems after that, then it's probably a problem with Outlook, how I would recommend reaching out to Microsoft for support with their application.

  When I use Firefox as my browser, everything I print from the internet is so small, that I can barely read. I finally started to use IE, as I don't have the problem there. I have done all troubleshooting tasks that were recommended in the help section of Firefox. None of them worked.

  Hi eastonedge, the selection of the size of paper could remember the last size, which would be practice/irritating, depending on what prompts the last value. If you find that you need to change that often, each time, try to update to the pilot ladder, start menu > list of devices and printers.
