Printing image in PDF format?

Hello

I have recently been in contact with an online photo printing company who asked me to send my JPEG image in PDF format.

I know how to upload an image for, say, Cute PDF, but is the final product - the final printed image they will post for me - of the same quality as if I went to a point of sale photo printer that printed the image as my original JPEG?

Thank you.

SteveH

Compression = quality! High QUALITY = low compression.

Use the Save as PDF option in Photoshop to save a PDF file. [High quality Print] should be OK.

Try them and if the quality is as their request, ditch them. A decent lab or printshop accepts JPEG.

    Hi COIEngineer,

I installed and opened the BullPrint example and was able to reproduce the error you receive when I pointed to a file .vi directly, but was able to print successfully when pointed at an image file. Could possibly feel in a jpg file, print this file in pdf format, and then delete the original (if you do not want the original file).

This error is generated when the pdf printer is not sure how to handle printing of the specified file type.

  • Some items on the page will not be printed - even in pdf format!

I'm kinda a newbie on Indesign (much better in Photoshop) and this is driving me crazy.  It's never happened before.

I have a two page CMYK document.

A part of the text (modified with pen base, transparency and angle) and the graphic still refuses printing, our laser printer or even in pdf format.

A page prints perfect, the only other partially prints.  Both images and text.

    Any thoughts?

If you want to make a PDF, export (to say "High quality print") do not print in PDF format.  Then try to print.  It could be that your printer is having problems with transparency should contribute to the export to PDF format.  You may need to use the parameter PDFx-1a if your printer drivers are quite old.

If they are not there in the exported PDF objects may have a nonprintable attribute set, you can see this by selecting the element and looking at the attributes Panel.

  • reuse objects incorporated into images in pdf format

    Hello!

I was wondering, if there is a way to reuse objects embedded within a PDF file (such as images)?

So let's say, I have a chart on the first page and I want to use the same graphic on the third page without storing twice in the same PDF file.

If possible, could you also reuse text or textblocks inside a PDF file?

    Thanks for your help!

    Kind regards

    Johannes

You are right in that some forms of XObjects are indeed the vehicle for the re-use of the graphic objects in PDF format. There are several types of XObjects in the PDF specification. Of this number, you should look at the Forms XObjects, Image XObjects and Reference the XObjects, all used for slightly different purposes and different contexts.

Use of XObjects in general is certainly not discouraged. What could be more strongly discouraged is the use of the PostScript XObjects, a way to embed PostScript in the middle of a PDF file. In fact, The PostScript XObjects are explicitly prohibited in the two ISO PDF / X and PDF/A standards. You simply cannot count on any reader or the PDF printer can interpret PostScript. For example, the printers/PIR, equipped with the Adobe PDF Print Engine technology totally ignore the PostScript XObjects.

Use of Forms XObjects, Image XObjects and The. reference XObjects are explicitly part of the new specification ISO PDF/VT (variable and transactional publication) will be published this summer. Printers supporting PDF/VT not only benefit from the size of the PDF file / stream reduction implied by use of XObjects, but also hides the XObjects to significantly improve the performance of RIP (something necessary with the new generation of digital presses to high speed color running at hundreds of pages per minute)!

  • Print to Adobe PDF format generates the PDF, but also generates an error entry in the print queue

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition and Adobe Acrobar 8.
Whenever I print a document in PDF format, the PDF document is generated correctly.
Unfortunately, it also generates an error entry in the Adobe PDF print queue. At each system restart Windows Live One Care detects errors and ask me to fix.

    Hello Pino Sannicolo,

Try to check your print to the printer settings. Right-click on the printer, and then click Properties. Click the Advanced tab and then click on "print directly to printer". Dave D

Is there a permanent solution for this? my printer is only around the age of 3 months.

When you mentioned the windows updates I took it to mean the updates of windows via the Control Panel on the computer. I knew not had here a separate section. So, everything simply because I was absolutely hopeless, I downloaded the updates for windows 10 available on this site. My baby now works correctly. That you for your time and your help.

    Hi danc31190517,

You must use Adobe Acrobat software to add the image to the PDF format.

  • Gray lines during the conversion of Word 2010 images in pdf format

With the new Acrobat X 1 version, I encountered a problem whenever I try to convert images on a Word 2010 document in PDF format.  While all the lines on the document are black, many lines including bubble-notes appear very light gray and hard to read.  I searched for months for a solution without a bit of luck, and I tried other computers with different versions to check that it was not only my machine.

Y at - it a specific setting I need to change during the conversion to keep the black lines black instead of this weird gray problem?  See below, for example.

Previously, the snapshot taken from Microsoft Word:

    Pre-conversion.PNG

After the conversion to. Document PDF format, from Acrobat XI:

    Post-conversion.PNG

Thank you for the answers.  I found the problem, it was just a simple menu option.

Under Edition > Preferences, I sailed on the Display tab Page and disabled "smoothed art" under the section of rendering.  It seems that solved the problem.

  • Scalable swf flash images in pdf format?

I use Adobe CS 5.5 package. If there is a way to create scalable flash (vector) graphics when I create pdf files?  These images flash (swf files) are flexible in my html file, but when I "print to PDF", they are pixelated.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Jay

    Yes and no.

"Feel" any web page to PDF will always rasterize non-text objects, it is part of the way the web browser works.

If you are using the Acrobat 'create PDF from Web Page' button, there is an option to keep the multimedia interactive. With this selected, content SWF on the web page will remain as native SWF on the PDF content, so it will scale when zoom you to display the PDF file on the screen - but when you print this PDF it will again be rasterized.

  • Image Set PDF format

    Hello

I want to use the pinch zoom on a page... So I need to put in place of the time when I create the Folio, and still when I create the Article for the right PDF image format?

    I'll do this test...

    Thank you

    Felipe

The value for the article. It should not be set on the level of folio. If a page contains any interactivity, including a hyperlink, it will not pinch and zoom. And it works on the viewer of the iPad, not AIR-based viewers.
