Printing with the file name on the bottom of the

How can I make prints all outs of any file display the name and location of the file on the lower edge of the paper?

Hi microanswers,

What application are you using to create and print the file?

If you use MS Office, you can see the information below.
A header or footer is text or graphics that is usually printed at the top or bottom of each page in a document. A header is printed in the top margin; page footer is printed in the bottom margin.

Headers and footers can be as simple as the document title and a page number, but you can create some headers and footers that contain graphics, multiple paragraphs, and fields. You can specify a different header or footer for odd and even pages or use a different header or footer for the first page in a document or a section. If you divide a document into sections, you can use different headers and footers in each section. For example, you can the header for each section to reflect the title of this article.

Yes it works here using your latest form and the modified .js:

You have created the folder 'HSSSave '?

Also, make sure the .js file is in the correct application folder and restart Acrobat:

Hope get you it working (and when you do you can include a timestamp or timestamp in the name of file; as the script automatically replaces an existing file with the name of TEA).

  • Windows 7 printing with the HP DesignJet 4000ps printer. PLT files

I have a bit of an interesting problem. Our HP Designjet 4000ps is connected to the network and available via a windows print server or directly via the IP address.  To print our files .plt CAD, for years, I simply added an action to the. PLT file type association to run a batch file by default so that when I double-clicked on a .plt file, it could be copied by the script for batch processing on behalf of the plotter print queue. It worked great until upgraded to Windows 7.  Now when I copy a .plt file to the print queue, the name of the document in the queue of work just appears as a work #xy and has a date unknown and no username listed. The same thing happens if I used the FTP for the tracer to place the file, however to track down an old XP machine and verification of my batch script as well as the method of FTP, the name of the document, date and user name all appear incorrectly in the work queue.

If anyone else has experienced this? Is this something the way that Windows 7 print spooler works? Is there a way to fix this? If I use the interface for Server Web Designjet 4000ps to send files, everything is correctly listed. This happens only when I'm attemping to copy the file directly to the queue or using FTP on Windows 7.

  • Computer XP versus, Brother printer with the IP address of the old computer inside info.

my daughter has a 'new' xp windows computer, but still has its old brother mfc printer.  the printer prints the computer because its IP address is from his old computer. I have tried everything and you can't change the numbers mask IP, gateway or subnet on the printer in the menu.

can someone help me?   PLEASE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, THANK YOU

I contacted the brother who was a 6 hour ordeal to get no. WHERE.  online, it says hit the + button until NETWORK appears, there no + key!

I can copy documents without any problems.

also the scroll on the mouse does not scroll while she has to slide to the bottom of a page to read slowly.

    Thank you!!!

If the computer is connected with a USB cable (which is what you describe), then IP addresses of the computer and the printer are simply not relevant to the printer connection.  The printer's IP address is used ONLY if the printer is connected to a network using an Ethernet cable (which is the picture above in my previous post).

Now that we know what is wrong, we will try to understand why the printer does not print.

Probably the easiest way to proceed is to uninstall the printer (assuming that it has never been installed, which seems dubious) and then reinstall it.

I'm going to assume that you don't have the CD that came with the printer (if you do not have the CD, see pages 16 to 18 of the Quick Start Guide).

The following instructions are "Article One" of Cori Bright (http://www.coribright.com/windows/Article_One.htm) which unfortunately seems to be offline at the moment:

    1. Unplug the printer from the PC
    2. Go to the control panel and click on Add/Remove programs.  Highlight any printer software that is listed here.  Select Remove.  (Note that simply delete the Brother here software)
    3. In Control Panel, click printers & faxes.  Right click on the printer in question and select delete
    4. Look at the toolbar.  Select the file, then server properties. Look in the tab drivers.  Highlight the printers drivers listed here and click on remove for each one.  [(Notez que vous n'avez pas à supprimer les pilotes pour les autres imprimantes).]

      4. Note that brother has a 'Uninstall tool' which should perform steps 2 to 4.  I have no experience with this tool, that's why I gave you the manual steps above.  I provided the link to be complete, not because I think that you need to use this tool: http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/us/us/en/dlf/dlf/000000/002700/dlf002701.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc440cn_all&type2=2&os=7&flang=4&dlid=dlf002701

    5. Restart the PC. Do NOT reconnect the printer!
    6. Go to the website of the manufacturer of your printer.  Search for new XP drivers for your model.  Download the correct software.  If there is no Windows XP drivers for your printer, try to watch those for Windows 2000.  In most cases, these will do almost as well.  For the Brother MFC-440CN, go here--> http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/us/us/en/dlf/download_index.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc440cn_all&dlid=&flang=English&os=7&type2=-1 download the file named "Full Driver & Software Package."  Make sure that you are connected as a user with "Computer administrator" privileges before you do the next step.
    7. Run the exe that you just downloaded.  He has auto-démarrer Setup
    8. The software will tell you when to connect the printer.
    9. Once the software is installed and the printer connected, try a test page.  He should feel great now!
  • MS Word and HP Officejet 4500: unwanted contents page is printed with the print request. Why?

When I print a MS Word, a summary of the document unwanted is first printed document that includes the file name, directory, model, etc., time Total of edition, number etc of: words, pages. and the characters.

Does anyone know how to request this special page?

Or how to turn it off?

    Best regards

    Hi CharlieM1,

I understand that you get a summary page of unexpected (and unwanted) document each time you print something from Word. Take a look at the following stop printing with document summary sheet. Scroll to the first suggestion following the issue. Later in the thread, fold it explains that the "desktop" button is simply the file tab now if you are using a version of Word, Word 2007 at least. I hope it's useful. Good luck and have a wonderful day.

  • Mac Double-sided printing with the new Adobe

With the help of Mac Lion 10.7.3 with Officejet Pro 8500 910 has tried both Safari and Firefox.  With the help of Adobe 10.1.3.

    Print document is http://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/laus.pdf

Have downloaded new drivers from HP (I think).  Using the button at the bottom of page printer, print double-sided does not appear.  There is no other way to print this document (unable to use drop-down menu to print or save file under).

    Hello

It seems that there could be a problem with the specific PDF file.

During the preview of the file, I got a blank page so either Firefox and Safari on my PC and my Mac, but it seems well using CTRL + P to launch the print dialog box.

Otherwise, you can also try saiving the file to your desktop.

Open it with Adobe Reader and try to print to instead use the browser.

I could not see similar problems using Google Chrome, so it might worth a try as well.

    It will be useful,

  • LaserJet p3015: print with the printer driver universal pcl 5 of Collator

We use the universal PCL 5 driver for printing on a Windows 2008 R2 file and server to our printers laserjet printing network.  Our enterprise application doesn't have a way to bring together several pages together, so this will be done by the printer driver and settings.  However, I don't see an option to collect pages in the printer settings.  Is this possible with the PCL 5 UPD or it will need to be upgraded to achieve?

As I mentioned in my previous answer, most small LaserJet printers will not print collate.

They will just print a copy, or (as your symptoms seem to suggest) just ignore the Collate setting.

This is because the true ranking of multiple copy requires the use of Mopier Mode, which in turn requires the availability of a hard disk of the printer - printers in most small do not have a mounted hard drive.

To get the same effect as the standings, drivers for these printers will send multiple copies of the print job in the same connection.

But they do if the driver configuration indicates that Mopier Mode is activated, so you must ensure that the configuration shows that it is disabled.

  • How do you do double side printing with the Officejet Pro 8100 on a mac?

Use as Snow Leopard operating system

    Hello
Please follow the steps below to automatically print double-sided print jobs:

    1. check that duplex printing accessory has been installed correctly. To check this open system preferences and go to Print & Fax. Open the print to your printer queue. Click Printer Setup and in the tab menu choose driver. Make sure that the box next to HP printing accessory (duplexer) sides.

    2. on the file menu, select print. The print window is displayed.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Click the blue triangle next to the printer name to see all available parameters.

    3. in the print window expanded you will find next to Copies the checkbox for duplex. Select the check box.
NOTE: If the check box does not appear in the specific application print dialog box, skip this step.

    4. to select the connection type click the selection box below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    5. Select the menu drop down.

    6. set the duplex option as binding edge Long (Portrait) or binding Long Edge (landscape).

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset. By default, a used preset will remain until another preset will be used.
