  I created an InDesign document, and I transferred artworks, which is available on my local PC in a CC library dedicated to the project that I have 2 or 3 different sizes posters designed for the same project.

  Everything seems fine, until I have try to re - open documents where it is suddenly said that:

  "This document contains 14 links to sources that are missing.  You can find or reedit the missing links using the links Panel. »

  So, I 'OK' cela and shows me my paper and lo-and-behold, the missing link in sources are all displayed AND are all in my CC library for the project.

  Except that when I export the document to PDF, so I can send it to my printer, the elements are all absent and is replaced by a blank square!

  Aaarrggghh!  I've spent a lot of money on this software exactly prevent shit stupid, silly, like what is happening and yet there it is again with the same old nonsense IT inexplicable that does nothing but make me want to move to the forest and a whittler of spoon.

  Is this a known bug, how can I fix it and

  I use WIndows 10 and have all the updates that are installed for InDesign and CC library.

  Thank you for any advice or assistance.  I'd appreciate it really, because as it is, the software is useless at the moment.

  I installed the Acrobat Pro trial using Word 2007 on my computer (Windows xp).

  With Acrobat 9, open the toolbar of peak edits.

  With Acrobat X, open the Toolbox, view the content pane and select the link tool.

  The equations are a problem. If the equation is text, you can be lucky if you have the fonts on your system. Most of the time I have try, the fonts in the equation are garbage. Expect to have to retype the equations and some special characters. Much also depends on the existence of the fonts on your system. Just in my experience, the equations are almost impossible to convert.

  I recommend you use the Acrobat software to convert this PDF, the Acrobat software allows you to customize conversion settings.

  After downloading and installing acrobat, open the PDF in Acrobat, go to file menu-> click on "Save as other"-> Microsoft Word-> Word Document.

  A pop-up window will appear that would be fast lets you choose the file to convert, after selecting the file, click settings at the bottom left of the pop-up window, and choose 'Layout to keep' under layout settings, click ok, and then save.

• Script to remove the first few characters of a PDF file name?

  I know it should be easy, but I'm not a coder and don't have many opportunities to write scripts.  I hope it's like a second request two anyone out there.  All I want to do is point a script in a PDF file that will review the file name, cut the first two characters of the file name and save the original file again.  I need to do this about 400 PDF documents on a recurring basis, hence the need for a script.  Thus, for example, if I have a C:/temp/myFile.pdf file, I would the script to rename the file to just "file.pdf".

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Characters of the tables when exporting to PDF

  When you are exporting FrameMaker Pages with tables in PDF, some cells show no more characters.

  This occurs only when the cells have a shade and especially when two or more cells are combined in one.

  With Acrobat Professional, I can choose the shade as an object and remove it from the table. Now, the characters appear IN the shade.

  This means that when the file exporting FrameMaker to PDF the text gets covered by the shadow of the cell.

  Looks like a bug. DOE anyone know this problem?

  You have the option of PDF containing the tag enabled when you create the PDF file? This is a known bug. Disable this option

  Not possible with Acrobat Reader.

  OK, so a two pages of Word document (2010) with headers on the second page. Using the last update for Adobe Acrobat XI.

  If I print > save to .pdf file, it works fine. However, often combine us multiple files together in a single PDF, so it's annoying to have to do this for each file first.

  If I click with the right button on the files, and then combine or convert to PDF format, the headers to disappear from the top of the second page.

  You mentioned the print function, but the handset function you mention does not use the impression, but PDF Maker feature. Try to create the PDF from WORD using the Acrobat menu. Which gives the correct result. If this isn't the case, you may have screwed up in the converter settings. You can also check the options for the DOC to PDF in the Edit > options preference (in PDF format). You mention the last XI update, which should give you 11.0.09.

  When I first installed Firefox 19, the PDF Viewer worked so well that I uninstalled Adobe Reader. Today, after an update system, Firefox stopped display local PDF. If I open a PDF file directly from a Web site, the internal PDF Viewer active and the PDF file is displayed correctly. However, if I open a PDF to my hard drive, Firefox just displays a mass of confused characters and the internal PDF Viewer does not work.

  I tried to start in safe mode and the behaviour persisted. I really hope there is a fix for this, because the use of Firefox to view PDF files is really much better my workflow.

  1. In the terminal, type: # firefox - ProfileManager
  2. Create a new profile.
  3. Start with the profile said.
  4. Fixed. Internal PDF Viewer now works in a profile.
