Problem downloading PDF to FTP

Hello

Quite new, so I have a new question of person. I took on a site I'm getting organized. I am trying to download a PDF file on the index page, but every time I do it attempts to retrieve the file from my public drive.

I went through the installation of Dreamweaver site a few times and I don't see any question about the folder root or something like that. My code is:

< a target = "_blank" href = "www.xxxxxxx.com/articles/laurie/Scriv%20Summer%2014.pdf" > Scrivener: Summer 2014 < /a > < br >

But when I test the link appears in fact with a prefix of my public record:

file:///F:/Todd%20Wiebe/SD/ www.xxxxxxx.com/articles/laurie/Scriv%20Summer%2014.pdf

I know it's probably something stupid, but I just can't understand it. I would appreciate any idea of this "tour".

Thank you

If you use absolute links to content on your server, you must add http:// to your link code.

http://www.yourdomain.com/articles/laurie/Scriv%20Summer%2014.pdf

Either way, spaces in file or folder names creates problems on the web because spaces are converted into characters % 20 .  Rename your files without spaces or other special characters.  Underscores_ or hyphens - are OK, though.

    Hello

Please provide us with more specific information on the issue. Your post is a bit confusing.

If you need to open the PDF files, you will need to install a PDF reader.

If you try to print in PDF format, you must install Adobe Reader.

  • Download with Muse FTP and editing problems.

    Hello

    Please help if you can.

I got to create my Web site and it launched on Adobe businesscatlyst and it sounds great!

    http://magicorganic.BusinessCatalyst.com/

There is a big problem of loading to the top of my host. IPage.

First, I loaded it with the feature of FTP, Muse and he stopped 61% download and I got an error message about the images.

Then I exported the files in my documents. (And noted there is no Home Page didn't mention just Index) here:

    Html folder.jpg

I then uploaded manually to IPage: here

    Website files.jpg

and seen my site www.magicorganic.co.uk and its all over the place. I then tried to download again using FTP with the files already on the host computer and loaded before 91% and error message. See here:

If anyone has any ideas where to go with this please gt back to me.

    Thank you very much

I found that simply removing the "/" in the FTP dialog under "host directory", your problem is solved. Apparently the Muse adds the ' / ' and if you have one in the dialog box, there will be two instead of a single responsible for the mistake. I'm not a technician and just discovered this fix. I hope that helps!

  • Problem with PDF download

    Hi guys,.

I am facing problem with the download PDF option. In demand for answers, I use PivotTables to display data, and because these PivotTables do not offer the option of table headers, I resorted to HTML to achieve a similar result. The issue I am facing right now is when I print by PDF or Powerpoint, HTML code I wrote happens rather than the result. In the case of excel or responses, I get the proper output. Is there a setting I'm missing? I use the column with the HTML code in the PivotTable columns section.

    Thnx!

  • Download issues of FTP files using safari 9.1

Using other browsers (chrome and firefox) I can click on a link that will download a file FTP on my macbook pro. In safari 9.1 however I get an "unknown error" (NSURLErrorDomain: - 1). The link that I use is ftp://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/genenames/new/tsv/locus_groups/other_alt_loci. txt. I tested this link on other former Mac (safari 6) and the download of the works. I also emptied the history, the web of data, wiped the plists in ~/Library/Preferences associate with safari (IE "com.apple.Safari.plist", "com.apple.internetconfigpriv.plist" and "com.apple.internetconfig.plist") and deleted all the files under ~/Library/Safari but still no joy.

I left wondering if there is a bug in some other situations somewhere or wether 9.1 safari just may not download files ftp more.

I think you'll have problems trying to do it on Safari. Please see this discussion > can not download files via FTP

Try it on Firefox or Chrome.

  • Students cannot deliver or download pdf. Is there a reason that this happens from time to time?

I recently started using hand and quality. I had a few cases in the past where students got an error message when you try to download pdf assignments. The last two days, I had submit them their work, the students, so I got a message "not delivered". The file is there but cannot be opened. Is there a fix on our end?  I tried to reinstall the application on the iOS device.

Network conditions generally make the such problems difficult to diagnose because any network or machine between you and Apple servers could be the cause of the problem. You may be able to reduce the problem of:

    • check the status of the Apple servers to http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/
    • Use an application or a service like speedtest.net to test the performance of your local network (select a test host near San Francisco, CA)
  • Downloaded PDF file is not readable

For more than a site, I downloaded PDF files and saved on my computer. I am running the latest version of Firefox under Win 7 32 bit. When I go to open the file with the latest version of Adobe Reader 9 or Foxit, I get an error message indicating that the file is not in a recognized format or is corrupted. (Although the content of the messages are different, it is the substance). Download the same file in IE produces files that can be read by a PDF reader.

I don't mean to play the file in Firefox, just download it, then open it. None of the threads that I've explored seems to solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated as I really don't want to use IE anymore.

    Thank you!!

A quick update on my problem. After I posted this question, I remembered seeing a post somewhere that mentioned a performance bug that occurs when the downloaded file is being saved to a folder on a network computer, not the computer that's been downloaded. That's what I do. So, to test it, I changed the location where FireFox stores files downloaded from the network location mapped to a folder on the computer that I use to do the download. Guess what? The downloaded files are OK and not considered "corrupt". I can't find the post that said that there is a problem with FF transfer the file to the computer on the network without giving full NTFS file properties, but this seems to be the issue. So, I guess I just solved my problem. Go figure.

  • Problem with PDF

Hello, my name Victor is. I'm from the Argentina and I started with WCS 1 month ago. My problem is when I want to view a pdf from a blob file in a new tab, I can view the file, but if I download, his name is 0.pdf or satellite.pdf. The code is the following:

    < attributename = "Imagen" attributetypename = "Documento_Attr" assetset:sortlistentry / > a link to the image

    < / assetset:getmultiplevalues >

    < ics:listget listname = "" enlace: Imagen "fieldname = 'value' output ="imagenAId"/ >"

    < a href = "< % = ics." "GetVar ("docUrl") % > ' target = '_blank' >

    < insite: calltemplate tNom = "Imagen_view" c = "Imagen_C" cid =' < % = ics. GetVar ("imagenAId") % > ' field = "Image" / >

    < /a >

    < / div >

    I tried with:

    < outstr render: getbloburl = "docUrl" c = "Documento_Activo" cid =' < % = ics. GetVar ("docAId") % > ' field = 'docData' dynamic = "true" blobheader = "application/pdf" blobnocache = "true" satellite = 'false'>

    < name of the render argument: = "blobheadername1" value = "Content-Disposition" / >

    < name of the render argument: = "blobheadervalue1" value = "filename ='< % = ics." GetVar ("nombrePdf") % > "" / >

    < / render: getbloburl >

    but didn't work and I tried with "" and "". ""

    Here's a picture:

    2.png

the real name of the file must be < % = ics. GetVar ("nombrePdf") % > or the name of the original file.

    Hello

You can try with the code in this post-> downloads

Or if you have JSK, you can simply check this model - Document_C/FSIILink in FirstSiteII that shows how to create a hyperlink to preview a file pdf and how to create a downloadable pdf with name link.

  • Problems using PDF on some devices

Hi, hoping someone can help. This might not even be an Adobe issue but I thought I'd ask.

I have recently release a downloadable pdf. In the pdf file are tables that allow the user to enter data and they are doing some simple calculations.

It works fine on iPhone, iPad and Android 6 +... but I get customers coming back cannot be used on their iPhone 6s. This seems to be the only way out.

I don't know that it's a matter of apple, Adobe or where I have added encryption/no copies etc.

The message they get is either.

"This document is protected. Some changes may not be allowed.

    Or

"restricted document. This tool is not available because of the security settings for the documents'

I guess that's something I did when I downloaded it.

    Any advice would be great

    Phil

    Hi Phil,

seems that your iPhone 6s users try to use commenting tools to change the shape. Ask them if they can type on a form directly field to enter data.

Acrobat Reader on mobile devices does not comment (text markup, free text, drawing, etc.) on the encrypted documents.

I hope that this response will help you solve the problem.
