• Problem running the sample Application after installation patch set 4.0.2.00.07

  We just applied the fix 4.0.2.00.07 on our environment to TEST APEX4.0.
  Now, I can not run the sample application. "When I run the application, log in using either the administrator or the user of demo with the #lower_case_workspace_name #", the browser generates the following error message:
  
  ORA-06550: line 2, column 8: PLS-00201: identifier 'CUSTOM_AUTH' must be declared ORA-06550: line 2, column 1: PL/SQL: statement ignored

  When we run NotificationsDemo example application on BlackBerry 9530 Simulator, the application is added in the profile under the heading other than "Notification Demo". With the help of which the user can set the access to his profile for this application.

  But, its not considered in the NotificationsDemo example application anywhere and is not reflect while we call NotificationsManager.triggerImmediateEvent method too.   Is the download manager that you are using a Firefox extension? If so, have you checked that the extension is up-to-date and compatible with the latest version of Firefox?

• Problem running graphs in the OEID 3.1 sample application

  Hi all

  I just installed OEID 3.1 and I am trying to execute the sample application provided by oracle with reference to the procedure described in the section "Creating a sample Application of data Ingested with ETL Integrator" in the guide getting started in OEID 3.1 documentation.

  I have ingested the sample data in short using the EID31_SamplePipeline.zip pipeline Integrator ETL server.

  Now, when I try to run the chart named Baseline.grf using the IDE of clover for ETL Integrator, it throws errors - following

  Graph execution '. / graph/InitDataDomain.grf ' failed!

  Error during initialization of the graph.

  Initialization of the component failed [create Data Domain: CREATE_DATA_DOMAIN].

  Unable to create the Web Service proxy.

  Cannot establish the WSDL parser.

  Cannot read the WSDL to location ' https://localhost:7002 / short-server/ws/manage? wsdl '.

  WSDLException: faultCode = PARSER_ERROR: Wsdl not found https://localhost:7002 / short-server/ws/manage? wsdl

  Inner exception: element [CREATE_DATA_DOMAIN:Create Data Domain] - initialization of the component failed [create Data Domain: CREATE_DATA_DOMAIN].

  
  

  Note:

  I use the basic SSL communications.
  

  I even updated to 7002 port numbers (this is my SSL port for the server for short) in workspace.prm and I even changed my graphics for https rather than http.

  But I still get this error.

  I added VM arguments in JRE for trustStore and keystore and passwords corresponding paths.

  I added the same IntegratorETL.ini file too.

  I've also marked compatible SSL also true for components that have this property.

  
  

  Interestingly, I'm even able to load the wsdl from the browser file if I get the URL

  While the ETL Integrator Designer mentions the exact URL even when he gives with the exception of WSDL saying Wsdl not found.

  Hi Christophe,

  I have consulted several groups, and although it looks like initially a hostname resolution problem (it came a lot), support was offered that this is related to the fact that you try to run the sample application in SSL mode, while the Start Guide that documents this application indicates that it is running using the no - SSL only. In other words, when you install the software for the purposes of execution of a sample application (and not for production), you must explicitly uncheck the flag SSL. This is not recommended in production.

  So, I suggest to uninstall and reinstall in non-secure mode.

  Please see the requirements on the sample application here. The doc has a requirement of "without SSL:

  Hi, I just thought I'd let the guys you know I get this message every time I try to download a trial version of CS6 master collection for mac test:

  "Sorry, an error occurred.

  The application could not be installed because the Installer file is damaged. Try to get a new setup of the author of the application file.

  BTW, this is for the download assistant that I have problems with...

  I passed by your troubleshooting guide and tried everything that I could to get your download manager to work and get the same message? I'm doing something wrong?

  I am the administrator on my computer and it must be real simple but it's not.

• Firefox Download Manager problems

  The default in Firefox Download Manager began to show strange behavior today: no matter what file I try to download (in the default \download folder or in a folder chosen by me) is actually downloaded by the browser, but the file download status bar always a message "unknown time remaining" while being entirely green (https://www.dropbox.com/s/n891ya38ifm83c3/Cattura%20di%20schermata%20%284%29.png?dl=0).

  The real problem is when I download .torrent files that are downloaded the torrent client need to start (torrent client that does not start because for firefox, is never finished downloading .torrent).

  I tried to disable the antivirus (bitdefender), but the problem persisted. Chrome downloads work fine (as with active antivirus).

  It's the b9 32.0 and it has been fixed and will be in the build 32.0 then, probably the RC1 build 32.0 if normally such a fix would be a beta version as 32.0b10. The release is Tuesday next so little time. From topic: config you can try to change the empty value of browser.safebrowsing.appRepURL in the meantime.

  I have received many updates of Windows XP in the last days and now wonder if they have something to do with it. Changed my download manager Free Download Manager - but the problem presists. Reinstalled ZoneAlarm fire-use of codecs-Klit-no wall - and the media.
  Have the same problem with different browsers and their integrated download managers. No problem downloading software, music and video files.

  I have a few questions about your question:

  (a) not you get an error when you try to download?

  (b) where you are trying to download music and video files from?

  Method 1:

  You can try the system to the boot and they try to download the files. Any program background may interfere with the download. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  The steps to perform a clean boot are given below:

  Step 1: Open the System Configuration utility

  1. click on Start, click run, type msconfigand click OK.

  2. the System Configuration utility dialog box appears.

  Step 2: Configure selective startup options

  1. in the System Configuration utility dialog box, click the general tab, and then click Selective startup.

  2. Click to clear the Process SYSTEM. INI file check.

  3. Click to clear the process to WIN. INI file check.

  4. Click to clear the Load Startup items check box. Check The Load System Services and to use Original BOOT. INI are checked.

  5. click on the Services tab.

  6. Click to select the hide all Microsoft Services check box.

  7. click on disable alland then click OK.

  8. When you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer

  Once you have set the system boot, you can try to download the files and check if you get the same problem or not.

  2. at the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) the following command and then press ENTER:

  netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

  Note If you do not specify a path of the directory for the log file, use the following command:

  3. restart the computer.

• I have XP SP2 and am unable to install SP3. Problems with Windows install & download manager.

  I rebuilt a laptop from scratch using XP Home.  Currently, no software beyond basic MS core apps.  Not even MS Office.  I am trying to activate the automatic updates.

  The error messages that I get point to Windows Installer and/or MS Download Manager, but these same problems prevent me from deleting/updating install or Download Manager.

  If I run FixIt to activate the automatic updates to download SP3, the following error message is returned:
  _Windows Installer_
  The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.
  This can occur if Windows Installer is not correctly
  installed.  Contact your support team.

  If I try to manually download the SP3 (WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3 - x 86 - ENU.exe), the following error is returned:
  _Microsoft download Manager_
  There was a problem opennig the Microsoft Download Manager.
  Update your computer with Windows Service Pack 2 or later version to download
  files using the Microsoft Download Manager.

  I think I'll through in circles.   I need SP3 for automatic updates, but impossible to install SP3 since SP3 is not installed.  I must be missing something obvious, but I simply cannot get by.  I'd appreciate any help - thanks.

  OK, I followed the link clicked on download, saved on my desktop, then tried to start the installation.  The returned message is:

  It is often the result of a corrupted download. Please restart the download. If this fails, you can try download with another browser such as Firefox or Chrome?

  (1) what you're trying to download?

  (2) how you try to download?

  (3) what browser you are using to download?

  (4) don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?

  Step 1: This error occurs when your browser and IDM are set to run under different privileges.

  Maybe you have set to run IDM with administrator rights. This is not correct. IDM Ouvrezledossier if please, right-click on 'IDMan.exe', select the 'Properties' menu item, switch to the "Compatibility" tab and uncheck the checkbox "Run this program as Administrator" (arrow 2 on the image). In addition, you must remove the compatibility with previous versions of Windows if there is none activated (arrow 1 in the picture).

  

  If this does not help, try to do the same for the executable file of your browser. In addition, turn off the feature with older versions of Windows and "Run this program as Administrator" checkbox.

  Step 2: You may need to run IDM with administrator once rights to register its DLL files. Exit IDM using "Tasks-> output" of the main menu. Then right click on IDM launch icon in the Windows (arrow 1 in picture) programs launch menu and select "Run as Administrator" (arrow 2 on the image).

  

  Then exit IDM again and run normally.
