  I am trying to install Adobe After Effects CS6 (and to use as a first trial version) on my MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid-2014, Yosemite 10.10.5, retina), and I think I succeeded (in part), except that in the end I can't run it.

  And I seem to be able to run the two Media Encoder and bridge, but not After Effects. When I click on it it says two things:

  

  What is going on? I tried to download the latest update for After Effects for Mac (AfterEffects_CC_13_2_ftr.dmg) and install it, but it says that I don't have access to this update. I don't really know what to do next...

  I got the same Probs on C++ 2008 but I reinstall so I had no problem, but I can't reinstall it on C++ 2010 is when I try it tell me that I'm more C++ 2010 on my computer and I install a new version then I install but when I install a new version, it tells me "error during installation. : on your computer, there is a new version...

  When I opened my system Panel > programs and features, there is no Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 NONE of this, I just 2005 2007 and 2008 and it works!

  But I don't have any Version of 2010 Visual on my computer I can't install or reinstall it I can't do anything with the 2010 Version so I have the problem also install After Effects :/

  My C drive is full, so I moved PS, PP and Media Encoder in my D drive. I went into my Office CC and changed application preferences the installation location. Now, I try to install After Effects, but it is still trying to install on drive C, which is almost full, so I am getting an error of lack of space. When will this problem be corrected?

  Hi I use a Mac Pro, 10.9 mavericks, after effects CC 2014 with the last update (installed last week) and I still get an error that I have to force quit after effects. The error message reads:

  I don't know what that means or how to fix it. I tried to repair disk permissions, but this has no effect.

  
  

  It happens when I apply some effects to something that worked before save it AFAIK (like Knoll unmult).

  Adobe may just make a version of After Effects that has not some happening a huge, inexplicable problem?

  There are a lot of people running After Effects on the Mavericks.  My suggestion is, first of all, check your computer for any 3rd party software which may be at the origin of the conflict. This can include games, the codec packs, video players or the graphics drivers that are not compatible with your system. Then, if the uninstallation of suspicious programs does not resolve the problem, run the cleanup tool Adobe and re - install AE by using the latest version of CS6 or download creative cloud App and download and install AE CC from there.

  I have read other forums and watched tutorials. I did the following. (Not in the used order)

  1 decommissioning Magic Bullet Looks from 1.4.3 to 1.4.2 (did not work)

  2 upgrade Magic Bullet Looks to MBL 2.0 of Magic Bullet Suite 11 (did not work)

  3 uninstall my gfx card and re-install with the latest version (didn't work)

  4 reset the AE preferences by pressing alt + shift + ctrl on the shortcut (didn't work)

  5. change H.264 rendering parameters->. AVI (did not work)

  6. I deleted the "AE_OpenGL" of my After Effects file (didn't work)

  The skin file is not that complex, but I don't know if it'll help, but that's it.

  I've never had this problem before and hope someone has a solution to this problem... If so please post a reply. I don't know if its because I put the plug on all of my clips and then made an adjustment with an another Magic Bullet Looks layer or if it's my fault of clips but I don't know what to do.

  It seems that the looks hangs only on this project. If this is the case then it is probably a problem with one of your video clips. Either there is a corrupt frame or some other codec glitch which throw errors. I suggest you replace the elements of film with temporary images. You can even use solids. Replace one at a time, then cancel, until you find the film that causes the crash. Then re - compress this film to another codec or replace it.

  If looks are blocks on all types of images, then you will have to pursue other options that are more linked system.
