  I have a problem using LDAP in the APEX (DB version: 11.2.0.2.0;) APEX version: 4.0)
  
  I get "Authentication failed" by their SUMMIT. However, when I run it in SQL * more (SQL Developer) (I created it as seen in the referenced forum thread) it works! Can I use my own function, but that looks like reinventing the wheel.

  We must search the sAMAccountName because that contains our login credentials (dennis.surname). The common name is just our full name (Dennis Surname)
  
  
  At the SUMMIT, I have these settings:
  
  * LDAP host: oursite.be
  * Port: 389
  Use SSL: No SSL
  Use exact DN: No.
  * String DN: ou = oursite, dc = oursite, dc = be
  * Search filter: sAMAccountName = % LDAP_USER %
  
  
  When I try to test it I get "Authentication failed" but I don't know why. It works very well in sql * more (in the the same pattern of course!) so I have really no idea what I'm doing wrong. In addition, the message comes instantly and sql * more it takes about a second to authenticate.
  
  I tried so many things! remove the 'or '. Connect with my name, change 'cn = % LDAP_USER %' filter, connect with dennis.surname and Dennis Surname, using exact DN,... and all the possible combinations of them... Nothing works.
  
  I can go further by using my own function, but I really want to use the settings of the APEX, because it's so much easier.

  The authentication uses a simple_bind_s. You must use the same syntax in these text boxes. You actually do a single with bond

  dbms_ldap.simple_bind_s(l_session, 'sAMAccountName=' || l_ldap_user, l_ldap_pass);
  

  It does not work. It's the syntax to use in the search for search_s filter.

  Please keep in mind that the apex_040100 (for apex 4.1) user must connect the rights on the domain server.

  I try to install DPM 2010 and I installed all 4 of the installation of packages and they are all in the same folder according to the installation instructions on Microsoft Technet for DPM site 2010 and I clicked on the 1st package install and it unpacks the original installation package and it brings up the install window install data protection manager and clicked on install and I get the following error on the redistributable Visual C++ - Redistributable package Installation of Visual C++ has no... Run vcredist_x64.exe \redist\vcredist\ to install vcredist and re-run Setup.

  Whenever I tried to install the vcredist_x64.exe which was provided with the download I get the error that it cannot install, tht, there was an unexpected error.

  I downloaded the redistributable Microsoft and tried to install it, but the 2010 version is already installed and I could not install the version of 2008 on the 2010 version. I tried to download Visual C++ 2008 redistributable sp1 and installed correctly but when I come back and you try to install the System Center DPM 2010 setup.exe it always tries to go to the folder with the not redistributable sp1 provided with the download and it freezes in half way through even though the correct redist "is installed for server 2008 r2 x 64.

  Anyone got any suggestions? I've been searching and trying to figure out for hours and I don't see anything in the KB for DPM 2010 or technet.

  I'm having an extremely frustrating experience framework creative cloud. After the signing, I downloaded the Office Manager and properly installed Dreamweaver and Photoshop. Trying to install InDesign, I got an error that the installation failed because he could not reach the Adobe servers.   I installed and cloned the C: drive on the new SSD using the data migration software provided with the SSD drive. I use Windows 8.

  • How can I now boot from the SSD?  I tried to set it as the startup disk.
  • What I first need to erase the original HD? or is it possible to keep windows on both drives?
  • Can I migrate the original HD recovery partition to SSD?

  I moved the SATA cable for the SSD drive to post the original HD was in.  I also tried to disconnect the original HD and just boot from the SSD drive, but Windows doesn't load.

  This is a brand new computer and I'm moving all on the SSD before starting to install anything.  The SSD is 120 GB and has plenty of room for the operating system.

  I'm not familiar with the system bios UEFI (spelling?).  Why not just select to boot from the SSD drive? What is 'Bootable Windows disc'

  I read somewhere on the net that sometimes the floppy drive may not be recognized correctly and in most cases, this is the reason why the installation of the SATA driver may fail.

  I think you should try other way to include the SATA drivers.
