  I have the Satellite A300 running Win7 32 bit, but my model is PSAG8E.
  To be honest I have very good experience with installing Win7 on Satellite A300 and I can recommend you to install on this Satellite.

  If you visit the Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads you will see that your laptop model is supported Win7 and it shouldn't be problem to install all the necessary drivers and other stuff of Toshiba.

  Here is the list how I did this exactly:
  atellite A300 (PSAG8E) and clean Win7

  -Win7
  -chipset driver
  -Storage Manager
  -display driver
  -driver sound
  -modem driver
  -utility supervisor
  -infrared
  -patches 1.2
  -configfree
  -VAP
  Hardware - toshiba

  Everything works well but lacks some drivers

  Added Vista tips:
  Toshiba - help - working properly
  -Card reader - installed correctly
  -Webcam driver for A500 - tested with Skype - works correctly.
  Driver - Synaptics

  Win7 works well and I am very satisfied. No problems with the feature keys FN.

  I doubt that this is because Windows 7 is only a trial version and it is not a version of the end.

  Toshiba is not compatible Windows 7 beta and so you should do a downgrade to Vista or XP. Then your problem should be solved.

  Hi Dr. Ahmed,

  If your webcam doesn't work after installing Windows Toshiba Recovery disk I think that it s related to the defective material. I mean you have ever tried to update the BIOS and the driver of the webcam but that s all you can do.

  So I would recommend contacting your local authorized service provider people. I think they can help you can exchange the webcam if it of necessary.

  Strange! Usually, if you have created the DVD recovery Toshiba using the TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator then everything should work correctly and you should be able to install Vista on this A300!

  The recovery disk is not shipped with the laptop because he had a tool preinstalled called creator Toshiba Recovery disk that allows you to create a clean recovery disc.
  But this is not possible because the HARD disk has been formatted and all files have been deleted.

  I'm trying to dual boot my U300 11v with XP and Vista...
  I have 50gig 2 partitions, one for XP and one for Vista, Vista is installed without problem.

  OK, I just went with the nLite... and as LNG as you select make ISO options, it worked a treat! Now I have XP on my u300 and it is so much faster than Vista... !

  I know that I can find all the drivers on the site, so I download them all. Now for example I wanted to install the Sound Driver, and it could not be installed because the program could not find the driver.

  -Wich software do I have to install the drivers (I put the software that I thought I have to install behind the pilots)
  -How will I know what the unknown device driver is to find the right software to install it?

  You didn t even start installing the drivers. Following your list, it may be that you have installed the driver chipset only. Try to install all the stuff in this order:

  Chipset utility
  Storage Manager
  Graphic driver
  Audio driver
  Driver modem
  LAN driver
  WLAN driver
  Card reader controller
  Driver webcam
  Touchpad driver
  And so on...

  Continue to install the utilities and tools of Toshiba.
