  I installed Windows Vista Ultimate (32 bit), I installed one of my games called Sim City societies and I get the error message - conflict with emulation software detected.   I don't know what kind of program could be causing it. About 3 weeks ago, I installed this Windows Vista and installed correctly. All my other games work fine, t is right with this one I get the error message.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  I found some information for you. It is for more than a year since this information below was sent, they should have the problem resolved with an update now. Have you tried updating to the latest version?

  Electronic Arts has admitted there is a SecuRom issue, on the plateau of SimCity Societies and issued a URL where you can learn more on this subject. they know that there certainly is a problem.
  Worse still, Sim City societies totally sows as a product, that it also get error performance, which makes the game totally unusable. I bought today and I am back in the morning, because it does not load because of the error! More than half who buy the game cannot play because of problems with SecuRom or the runtime error!

  Some of you receive a error message when you run the game after installing the #2 game update that says conflict with emulation software detected.
  We are aware of this problem and it will be corrected in the next game update (soon, with a lot of exciting things).

  Here's how to work around this problem and come back to play the game.
  1. find the icon of shortcut for SimCity societies on your desktop. Right-click on the icon and choose "Launch Analysis".
  2. you will be prompted by a message box asking if you want to start a crawl. Select "? 'Yes '. Note: Make sure that the disk is still in the DVD player.
  3 disc will turn upward and the analysis will begin. You will receive a second error of emulation. It is part of the analysis. Select 'Ok '.
  4. analysis file will be generated. The message tells you where to find the AnalysisLog.sro file on your hard drive. It also tells you to send an email to * address email is removed from the privacy *.

• How to stop endless guests to upgrade to version 6.0. I have no plans to upgrade anytime in the near future because of potential conflicts with the software of my employer.

  It seems that the file descriptor for the second snapshot vmdk was destroyed (0 bytes). Please find the file recreated in the attachment. I also corrected the .vmx file to point to the 000002.vmdk descriptor. To replace the files, make sure that VMware Workstation is closed or at least tab of the virtual machine is closed.

  Since there were errors in the vmware.log, this cannot solve all problems, but it must produce at least one new vmware.log which can then be used to troubleshoot further.

  Do you still have the program, but maybe just lost the shortcut for it?

  See what you have here, C:\Program DVD Maker, look for DVDMaker.exe.

  It may be necessary to show both hidden and system files and also uncheck 'Hide known file types' in Control Panel / folder Options / view to navigate to the specified location.

  If you have the .exe, and then you can right-click on the .exe and "Pin" in the Start Menu or use "send to" to place a shortcut on the desktop.

  If you type DVDMaker.exe in Start Menu / search box, or men Start / RUN box, which could launch for you.

  You can try restoring the system also.

  Most of the games are very good with few 76. The exceptions are-

  Very old games of 16 bits (pre 2000) often have 16-bit setup programs that do not work on 64-bit.

  They can often be installed on a 32-bit and copied computer at work 64-bit and again.

  Some of the most popular games of old have new installers that are compatible with 64-bit available on fan sites.

  It is not the OS that is causing the problem with a lot of games. This is the DRM (copy protection) not not grateful

  an OS 64-bit as legitimate.
  ' 04-'06 are bad years of DRM. The older Starforce , Tages DRM are the most problematic.

  Two associated DRM issues are - unsigned drivers (Win7 64-bit not only) or - the DRM is not compatible with 64 bit.

  There are several fixes that will get most of the running games-

  -Floors has a 64 bit update available on their Web site that works for The Witcher (possibly others).
  -When a game cannot be executed because of the more zealous DRM it can very often be fixed with a 'noCD' patch

  These can come from a couple of web sites (Mega Games), but some games do not have a noCD patch available.

  Then, there are a few games that don't work on Win7 64 bit. Some 16-bit and BACK according to need of games

• Toshiba software conflicts with Microsoft and prevent the wireless connection

  The Toshiba Software on this laptop I have is causing a conflict with Microsoft software and I can't connect wirelessly to an ad - hoc network. Wireless Auto configuration does not automatically start as Toshiba Software is causing a conflict, above, this rolling. If you have also encountered this problem please can you me what you can do to permanently solve this problem? For the moment, I have to go through a process of manually start the Wireless Zero Configuration services and fiddling around with disable and then re-enable wireless network connections if I'm lucky then it finally works, and I have internet!   Yes.  It is a tool on demand and not in real time thus creates no problems or conflicts with the other application in real time, including Kaspersky Antivirus.

  Running Trend Micro antivirus and antispyware without problems or conflicts until recently.  the system restore.  run scans. has ran the Trojan removal tool.  Problem is widespread but intermittent sometimes.

  Hi, I just got a 1536dnf all-in-one, and I have a problem with the software sending faxes. I can fax machine directly, but when I try to send a fax from my computer, I can't even get into the software. I get an "internal error" that there is no device detected. I installed it on my network, so about four different computers can access. I'm running Windows XP SP3 and any other function works fine (I can print to the printer from each computer, send and receive faxes from the printer itself, etc.).  Any ideas why this happens? I found zero documentation or help on this and any help would be appreciated.

  I answered my own question, but others may be interested in:

  I was buy HP printers since the time that first, they came out with the LASERJet House, I waited in line to get one at the then price of $700 or more.  I bought a HP product on average every 3 years after that.   All HP products were excellent quality and easy to use.

  Once I looked at the question of the use of the 1536dnf as a modem, I found that I was MUCH better off just buying a modem from "Zoom" $ 50 for my database driven fax needs rather than trying to send it through the HP.  If it is possible to use the 1536dnf as an intuitely MODEM, it is a solution too complex to simply get a modem to 'Zoom in' $50, which leaves my 1536dnf available for other tasks.

  I have a HP all-in-one OfficeJet Pro L7590.  I had to move the printer on another computer that is running Windows 7.

  When I install and try to print to the printer does not act as he did with the software that was on the old computer XP.

  Always when I go to properties and select Quick economy and printing on two sides he spits a page then the printer acts as if it was out of paper, and then when I press OK on the printer it prints the second page on another sheet of paper.  Note: What is printed on the 1st page prints correctly and what is printed on the 2nd page works properly for printing on the other side, but it is not the other side, but a separate sheet of paper.

  Note: I repeat that the software that worked under Windows XP has never had this problem.  This new version of the software running under Windows 7 has a problem.

  Just to thank everyone who responded to my questions about the problem with printing 2 Facer on OfficeJet Pro L7590 by HP.  I did the following and it seems to have solved the problem of this printer DO NOT print on two sides of a sheet of paper.

  1 deleted all the computer printer software

  2 used the utility available on HP website washer to clean any persistent software that I couldn't find.

  3. set the printer back to factory defaults.

  4 use HP printer Installation Wizard to find and install the fix version of the software that sits on the HP website.

• Series of problems (0xc000021a) ending with no. Bootable Device Loop - is it a hardware problem or software?

  We have a Dell Inspiron with windows 8 (or could be 8.1 (impossible to verify at the moment).)  He is 13 months old.  It seems that the hard drive is crashed and it is unreadable.   However, he wasn't give disk errors and the disk was not full and routine maintenance had not produced any bad sectors before that.   Question is can it be something else went wrong so that it cannot read the disc?  Or a software issue that if I could boot from a USB data key I could return to a system of prior work? And capture the error dump file?   I have a laptop with the same operating system can I create a bootable usb of who?

  F12 to enter a mode of diagnosis but gives msg - no hard drive not detected or unsupported disk controller.

  Maybe it's that hard stop has messed up your boot sequence...

  Can you get the menu for Options and startup in the Bios itself, to check the setting...

  I have this happen every now and then when I'm messing with stuff, and one of my gadgets confuses the Bios boot sequence...

  Check to see if it is set on the HARD disk, or maybe it has to do something about EFI\UEFI if your computer supports only... Most of the newer ones with Win 8 preinstalled do.

  Have you tried to restart by phone?
