• Help with Windows XP problem (Lenovo Ideapad S12)

  I bought a new S12 a bit backward, but recently, I had a problem with it. Earlier today, I was online and I must of clicked on a link that has started with Java for a reason any. Almost instantly my antivirus picked up a threat, she has actually won 51 threats, I did a scan and it found no aNY\ threat. I restarted the computer and that has been the problems began.

  Windows starts fine, but sometimes does not the taskbar. Startup applications but continue to operate. For example I start 'My Computer' but then I can't go to my "My Documents".  And after that it seems to freeze but the mouse cursor can move but nothing really works and I have to force the computer off. Also sometimes when I run Google Chrome a message appears.

  WINDOWS-applicaTION ERROR
  The ApplicATION has no iniaLIZE PROPERLY (0XC0000022). Click ok TO close the APPLICaTION

  So im thinking the virus messed up the config so I read that perhaps I need to restore the partition. If you could help me with this.

  Hello and welcome...  ITF you are using a program of security as one of them...  Security for freedom and keep updating them... are you on the save side, but its good to save your work (data, music, photos...) at any time on an additional media as FlashThumbDrive USB or an opticaldrive...

  Do not trust a program of security... from time to time, use an external security program to search for viruses or so now...

  Keep your system clear, delete temporary data with a feather duster like cleanprog or ccleaner...

  Disable unnessessary progs ... could accelerate in some cases and prevents freeze/hang up/hick upward

  & If viruses or other malfunctions, its more comfortable to go to a zero & recover your system...

  and like many other programs google chrome is not bugs, what might happen...

• Ideapad S12 memory (I have 1 GB - where are the other passers-by)

  I have a model of ideapad s12 2959
  It has 1 GB installed (removable on the lower part of the machine)

  I can't find the SLOTS of more RAM on this machine - where are they? Are there peaks or instructions pleeeeeeease?

  How many memory slots these machines don't have I have a headache to research online and by cell phone below!

  I had a few questions about the ideapad s12 sold with windows 7

  -It is in europe? (I know it's for sale on the official website of lenovo, but I think that it only contains the American market)

  -could I buy one on the official site? (I live in Turkey and I wonder if lenovo WD ship the s12 in Turkey)

  -need a built-in 3g modem? (this is about the most important I want to know about this netbook)

  -What is the ram limit? (it comes with 2 GB of ram, what can I bring? (2 GB of ram more ex?)

  -What is the scope wireless internet?

  First of all know this S12 ION Version soon in Germany will...

  comes with 2 GB of memory and hard drive of 250 GB and Windows 7...

  No there is no WWAN / 3G... But could be released in future versions...

  Wireless standard is 54 MB (free field, 50 m - 100 m), there is no "300 MB n' expected Version...

  Memory 2 GB... dunno possiblitys update... but 2 GB is enough for 99% of cases...

  Hello, I have Ideapad S12 with Windows 7 RTM... Is it possible to get wifi? My HW the wifi switch is on, but the Fn + F5 shortcut does absolutely nothing... Tried the drivers Beta 'Hotkey' features, but they can not be installed, no installation package is located in the installation program. Advice please?

• Windows 8 games graphics problems with Ideapad Z575. Do not play games. :'(

  After you have installed Windows 8 and install all the drivers that I got from the site Web: Lenovo's laptop can no longer play any games. I have more option open of AMD Vision options or options "Switchable Graphics" as they do not appear in the menu when I right click on the desktop. I've updated the driver graphic via Lenovo website, but still cannot access any game. When I try to start a game, the game will display a white color screen with slight graphical artifacts. When I tried to start one of my games, "Killing Floor" it actually caused my cell phone restart.

  Anyone have similar problems with their Windows 8 pc or have a solution?

  Well, I finally found the problem. I discovered that the graphics driver that I had on the Lenovo site have actually NOT installed us. When I ran the Catalyst Install Manager, the Manager showed global progress bar, but it did not install anything. That was pretty weird.

  When I ran the driver Catalyst install listed in the Chinese link that was given to me in this thread.

  It actually installed and now everything seems to work. I asked of Vision engine again, I can use switchable graphics and I just tested with Dark Souls prepare to Die Edition without any problem. The game is actually more smooth.

  Hi all, about a week I have a new laptop Lenovo y500 with GeForce GT 650 SLI.
  I am satisfied with the performance of the laptop, and I think it's the best choice in this price range.

  Hey guys... I have a series boring problem

  I have as I said Ideapad Y570 Core i7 etc... I installed Win7 Manager and I met a wired problem, so I used the Center Manager win7 den 'den all the components of the system. "

  Hello.  I am looking to buy a netbook, and from what I can tell the Lenovo S12 is the best with his 12 inch screen, QS OS, nVidia ION, HDMI output, 3 GB of RAM and 320 HARD drive.  The only problem I have is that it is just expensive for me right now.  Is there anyway that he will drop in price after Christmas, or when the ION2 comes out?

• BIOS problem, Lenovo Ideapad Z500

  My problem is that my Lenovo is infected by Trojan, so I tried to reinstall it with the original disc of Windows 7.

  Next problem is that my mechanic of dvd can not read or load the installation disc.

  I also tried boot usb but the same result shows blach screen and nothing...

  I saw there is a update of the BIOS for a VIA based S12, which allows support for 3 GB of RAM. Is based on the Intel S12 theoretically support more than 2 GB of RAM, and are there plans to release the update of the BIOS for this?

• Problems with NVIDIA Ion for S12 display driver

  I downloaded the Nvidia drivers

  195.62_notebook_winvista_win7_32bit_international_whql

  and

  195.81_notebook_winvista_win7_32bit_international_beta

  I tried to install the 195.81 first, but it didn't work so I tried 195.62, but he also didn't work.

  For some reason any, as you have seen, the current reference GPU nVidia drivers do not work.

  Now, thanks for the test of the 195.81 beta drivers - support nVidia actually suggested these as a solution to the issue.

  They also suggested to try to install the drivers (or set) of in Safe Mode. You can try this.

  However, as we said already, the S12 works ok with livery drivers.

  I recommend you to install the driver chipset nVidia reference (I found a significant improvement in performance with install them) - BUT, only install the EMS component - I found the storage component causes problems (up to and including a blue screen when you run a benchmark of HARD drive).

  Also, apparently, the desktop GPU of nVidia drivers works perfectly.

• Nvidia S12 recovery image

  I just get my Ideapad S12. My problem is that when I want to burn the dvd recovery of factory default, OneKey recovery tells me it cannot find the service partition. I'm quite surprised.

  I am able to boot a linux live cd and I see this partition called LENOVO_PART.

  I was able to copy the content of this partition on a disk external usb.

  The file more interresting is OS.okr which is 6.4 GB in the factory folder.

  I guess that's the default factory for windows image 7. In any case what can I do with these files?

  OneKey restore cannot operate with the extension of wsi. Is there a way to tansform these files okr into something useful?

  I have here a way to get the iso files to dvd - r on the lenovo Web site?

  Also, why make this form of message (impossible to find the service partition) error a fresh new computer? Is there a way to fix this problem so I can burn DVDs?

  or here to short change disc HARD S12

  Turn your S12 near the bottom cover there is the keyboard screw...
  Unscrew the screw with the keyboard icon
  
  Turn on your top S12 among keys QS and the second key
  Slightly lift the plastic with a screwdriver... be carefull lift and remove the complete plastic bar, there are a few small flange plastic nose to hold... then get attention while remove this...
   
  After removing the bar...

  now, you can lift the keyboard turn toward you and let it stay on the Palm...

  Now you can see the HARD drive Bay cage
  Loosen the screws... you can now pull the HARD disk to the right...
   
  remove the screws of the cage 4... change the HARD drive and put it back together back in the opposite direction...
