  You speak only on catalog of the web objects can't you just archive them on one side and Unarchive on the other? Using the OBIEE interface or the Catalog Manager.

  Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find any references, and my colleagues and I get gaps in the other research. We have a pool of composer with about 20 users who were testing the project for us. We have made progress in production and we'd spend these users from a pool of production, but they use their VDI systems as primaries and we would like to be able to maintain their record of the user and profile data. Is it possible to redirect a user from one group to the other without losing the user associated with a virtual machine in the original pool data disk? Otherwise, any recommendations on the most transparently for users? Thanks in advance!

  You just cannot change the application like this name. If you need to change the application name, you need to do before the migration.

  Let's say your app source is S and target is owners of T. Application for S and T MUST be the same (use external if possible user)

  1. create the application T
  2. database of report copy of S to T
  3 copy of database Essbase, S to T
  4. connect to T and ensure that its pointing to the correct instance of shared services

  This will ensure that the application has been upsized excluding security and business rules. It was the old way to do this. You should use LCM in v11. It can be kind of weird if you have duplicates of names (for example, the list of tasks, web forms), but it does not work. We used LCM to migrate the application with success and its very easy to use.

  I have 3 hosts who is currently on vCenter 5 and I would like to move in my recent 5.1 vCenter.  Normally, this would be an easy task but with VDS imply I'm bit of confusion how to make the migration without losing the SVD and adjustment.  I don't want to have to rebuild the vDS in the newly built vCenter 5.1

  What are the steps?  Any help would be appreciated.

  5.1, you can export and import the settings listed here, but you will not be able to do in your case.

  It seems you are trying to do it in an environment 5.x however.  You need to move all your hosts to a standard pass and then unregister / re-register again Vcenter.

  In order to get the correct MOR of the appropriate data center resourcepool, you can use the AppUtil getDecendentMoRef and getFirstDecendentMoRef library. For more details on how to use these methods to fetch the MOR to the resource pool, you can see the VMCreate.cs c# example that comes with the vSphere SDK package. You can see how to retrieve the ComputeResource resourcePool property, in the sample.

  2. impossible to RPD open online with weblogic user id mode.

  3 and get the following error when opening dashboard and reports.

  AMT: could not resolve the connect identifier specified in the call to the OIC OCIServerAttach. [nQSError: 17014] Cannot connect to the Oracle database. (HY000)

  So I have a question while I am troubleshooting these errors.

• Problem transfer VM from one host to another, different VCenter Server ESXi

  Hello everyone.  I'm new on communities, please excuse my lack of experience of VMWare.  I have a problem with the migration of computers and I hope someone here can help you.

  We have two independent groups in my building that each have their own installer of VMWare.  They each at least two hosts ESXi, VCenter Server, san, etc.  They are in separate laboratories on separate subnets.  I need to get a system in place where some images migrated in one laboratory to another on a regular basis, but I'm running into obstacles.

  My first attempt was a copy of the right lane.  Lift the file in my store of data takes about 5 hours, and the final result is a vmdk file is not set up.  I don't know why.  I created a new VM the custom option usign and attempted to add an existing hard drive.  When I accessed this file in my data store, there is no evidence, even if a 50 GB file is really there. I also tried to install this vmdk as a second hard drive to an existing image file, and I end up with the same result.  The Add Hardware Wizard does not have the file as an option.

  My second attempt was to have a group to create a clone of the server and let it off.  Then, I tried to run an import of a clone of one VCenter Server installation to another.  This leads to an error that it was 'Impossible to determine the operating system called'.

  I also tried to import the clone in an installation of SCVMM MS I'm hungry.  That no longer works.

  We don't have a VMotion. We have Essentials more licenses.  A group is running ESXi 4.0 hosts and the other is running ESXi 4.1 hosts.  What is the best way to get an image from one group to another?

  You can always use tools such as Veeam Backup and replication, it will take 5 hours for the first complete copy maybe, but then it's just modified pieces which are transferred.
