  After migration to 11g, we do some tests.
  Download to Excel does not work correctly. Computed column losing the round, Table with green line loses the format of borders.

  It depends on what version of OBIEE you are editing well and the locale set to Excel.

  Is someone can you please tell me where I might find the code for SRDemo after the migration and using the Trinity? All URLS Oracle are empty.

  In fact, all PPR sections in our application do not work after migration from 10g to JDev11.1.1.5. I'm sure that it has something to do with the libraries. • Migration of discoverer (model no dimensional) to OBIEE.

  We plan to migrate the Discoverer (10.1.2) to OBIEE (10.1.4), we use discoverer to relational (OLTP data) instead of directly questioning the AS 400 of database for end users.
  
  Since OBIEE supports the dimensional model in its repository structure, what are the challenges related to EUL (non dimensional model) relationship to the OBIEE repository migration using the migration of discoverer-OBIEE utility.

  Hi Sunil
  I agree with you. Unless your business is already pretty much scheme star you will find much easier to build the model manually in OBIEE.

  From my experience, I find that end users understand much easier than OLTP patterns in Star patterns.

  Although in training that my company offers we insist on the need to design the business districts of discoverer in asterisks most administrators of discoverer does not do this and just give users what is essentially the model of database. This type of business will not transcribe in OBIEE easily without work.

  There is really no shortcuts to good design. If it takes place within the EUL so it must take place within the OBIEE.

• problem of migration of customizing one env to another

  I'm trying to move from one environment to the other customization.
  I am able to move only the customization as in the XML file below.
  The problem is the changes to the level of the bean, like I did a few field read only or melted = False, they are not get migrated.

  Check the context in which the beans have been customized. Make sure that the customizations are not made at the level of the shared areas. If the shared region, check in the context of what the 'document name' said while customization.

  You can just copy the pages of the dashboard, but you must assign objects, I mean reports again to be especially keep pages of dashboard and save...

• How to migrate a page from one workspace to another workspace

  I have 2 workspaces, a look like Dev env, another look like Pro. approx.
  When the change need to be migrated, the few pages of Dev work space should be exemplary in Pro. one. I export the pages I want spend. dev, then try to import into Pro. but I get the error like below:

  Page Origin: This page was exported from a different application or from an application in different workspace. Page cannot be installed in this application. 

  Is there a better way to solve? I don't want to copy the page one by one.

  IMO = in my opinion.

  And you do not have to remove the old application prior to importation revised Prod. Locate Application Alias. The URL given to users should be with Alias.
  Once your revised application is imported and you're sure it's ok to release, just to change the Alias of the original into something unused, and apply the New Alias that users have (old application had).

  Sorry if this is the wrong section, but the nerves are out and I'm lost.
  
  I tried to migrate from an old database 8i probably with his tools and forms in 11g. All the software seems fine, but when I try to run the forms I either get error 'this form was conducted using a generator of old forms", or worse - some enigmatic FRM and ORA (exception 6508) mistakes apparently connected to the lack of a procedure called in the form triggers.
  Now, you'd probably say "just recompile these forms. But I can't do it - I have tons of compilation errors, for the most part from built-ins absolete or try to select the views system. This occurs when you try to recompile the libraries referenced by these forms, which is probably why I get these procedure without error.
  Given that the quantity and the nature of those overwhelmed me that I tried to use Migration Wizard Forms... talk about Paris on the wrong horse. First I had to change the property of "start in" the shortcut assistants where I stored forms libraries either he kept to launch bookstores out of such forms. Then I got a bunch of files, LDP and the most important libraries without change, with no mention of any problem in the newspaper of the assistants. Needless to say that my forms always get these errors from lack of procedure.
  
  I'm sure I can figure it out somehow correct the forms if the libraries were ok, but I can not just deal with these problems:
  -What to do about system view selects in the library of procedures and triggers? The compiler treats just as unknown identifiers.   Since you get the error when compiling, you must have sufficient privileges for all objects that are used in the application.

  More important still, if your version of forms before 6i, you cannot migrate them directly to 11 g. see Chapter 16.

  As you deploy these forms on the web, I suggest using builtin RUN_REPORT_OBJECT instead of RP2RRO. RP2RRO_RUN_PRODUCT. And to do this, you must write a very simple code.

  Lowest level: copy of the catalogue of the RPD and web on the other server, set the NQSConfig.ini and instanceconfig.xml and off you go.

  That's assuming you don't have change web messages, add custom images or files, change the styles or skins, you're still pointing to the same data sources etc. etc.

  I have 7 ESX in a cluster... 2 ESX are unable to migrate virtual machines into and out of the host... When we try to perform a manual migration, it displays the following error...

If the Virtual Machine does not have this feature, power off the virtual machine and delete the requirement of NX/XD by changing the settings of the virtual machine (advanced options).

  Looks like 2 of the 7 ESX has disabled NX/XD (or could be activated I don't know which) in the BIOS of the Server - VMware allows you to maske this characteristic shape the VM so it can vmotion between these hosts - initially put there where the NX/XD bit became more popular in order to allow users to migrate between these hosts with different parameters CPU-
