Problem of temporary file in the database takes a while to start the database

Legends of dear,

I am facing the warning next or problem with R12.0.6 64 bit and 10.2.0.3 databases in a linux environment

*********************************************************************

ATTENTION: The following temporary tablespaces do not contain any file.

This condition can occur when a backup controlfile

been restored.  It may be necessary to add files to these

storage spaces.  This can be done using the SQL statement:

ALTER TABLESPACE < nom_tablespace > ADD TEMPFILE

Furthermore, if these temporary tablespaces are no longer

necessary, then they can be recessed.

Temporary tablespace is empty: TEMP3

Hello

It is a question of pure database. Not much relationship to the EBS.

Anyway, as stated in the warning, you must add a temporary file in the tablespace TEMP3 or drop the tablespace if you do not need.

Can you post the full alerts log part, which takes 10 to 15 minutes?

Kind regards

Remove temporary files from the local disk c/documents and settings/user/localsettings/temp name

By definition, this folder should contain only the elements you don't need.  If I understand correctly, this temporary folder is a place where temporary files are stored during program facilities and the facilities.  However, I have seen references other sites to help saying some programs can store folders and files.

I do my own temporary file elsewhere, name it accordingly and move all the files in the temp folder to the new folder. Use your computer normally for a while, and if nothing complains about missing files, you have a good indication that none of the moved files are important and should be safe to delete.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.

  • Is this ok to remove temporary files with the disk cleanup?

as I checked, temporary files takes about 30GB of space on my drive. I am currently using windows 7 Home Basic. I'm trying to free up some space on my laptop coz, it's been slow lately. It will improve the performance of my laptop? Thank you! responses are much appreciated.

'about 30 GB of my disk space "

It's a bunch of temporary files. Even 3 GB would be enormously, but yes, you can leave

Disk cleanup deletes some Temp files it wishes. Cannot remove files that are used.

Disk Cleanup is actually rather conservative in what it removes. I often deleted a large number of

    Disk Cleanup files left behind.

Update of Windows and the service pack files may use a lot of space. Especially if disk cleanup

has not been executed on a regular basis.

Disk Cleanup can also remove these files, but if there are recent updates, it may be safer to wait

you know that they cause no problem.

If you haven't defraged the HARD drive for a while, doing so should also help speed things up.

  • I have problem rotation tiff file in the Windows Photo Viewer.

The last time when you use Windows XP, it is ok, but after upgrading to Win7 have problem rotation of files tiff using standard Windows photo viewer or Windows Live Photo Gallery. This happens to the files without administrator rights. Understand that the last time WinXP also had this problem but it had been fixed. Any resolution for Windows 7?

If I understand correctly, you cannot rotate the tiff file in the Windows Photo Viewer. I suggest you follow the troubleshooting steps to check if this may help.

    1. don't you make changes on the computer before the show?
2 is the issue limited to the tiff files?
    3. you receive an error message on the computer?

Photo Viewer Windows can only view .jpg and .jpeg, .tif and .tiff, .png, .gif, .bmp and DIBs, .wdp file types.
For more information, see this link:
Understand the types of image files
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/understanding-picture-file-types

    Method 1:
You can take all the permissions in the folder of tiff files and check.
Here are the steps to change the ownership and permissions of files and folders:

    a. right click on the file or folder, click Propertiesand then click the Security tab.

    b. click Advancedand then click the owner tab.

    c. click change, and then do one of the following:

    · To change the owner to a user or group that is not listed, click other users and groups , in area enter the object name to select (examples), type the name of the user or group, and then click OK.

    · To change the owner to a user or group that appears in the area of change of ownership to , click the new owner.

    d. If you want to take ownership of the contents of the folder, select the checkbox replace the owner of sub containers and objects .

    e. click OKand then click Yes when you receive the following message is displayed:

You are not allowed to read the contents of directory folder name. Do you want to replace the the directory permissions with permissions granting you full control?

All permissions will be replaced if you click Yes.

Note folder_name is the name of the folder you want to take charge.

    f. click OKand then reapply the permissions and security settings that you want for the folder and its contents.

  • VMware tools create too many temporary files on the server TS user profiles

    Hi guys,.

I have problems with the TS and Citrix servers where we have a restriction very strick to profile normally around 30 MB sizes. Temporary files of VMware tools normally use 10-18MB and this affects many users when opening large spreadsheets and we have to keep manually delete the files.

You guys can suggest alternatives here please? Hosts run ESXi 4.1

    Thank you!

You can work around the problem by changing a value in this registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkProvider\Order\

Workaround disables the functionality of VMware shared folders in the virtual machine.  Because the feature is not supported by ESX Server or GSX server, turn it off is not a problem. However, if you migrate the virtual machine to the workstation, you not have access to VMware files shared unless you re-enable the feature.

Warning: This procedure is to modify the registry. Incorrect changes to the registry can leave your system unstable or cannot run. Always back up the registry before you edit it and be cautious to make changes to the registry. VMware assumes no responsibility for the problems that may arise.

    1. Access the Windows registry. Choose Start > run, and then type regedit. The window of the Registry Editor opens.
    2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkProvider\Order\.
    3. Click ProviderOrder , and then click change. In the edit string value dialog box, change the data value chain and remove the word hgfs (or vmhgs).
      • For example, if the string data value contains LanmanWorkstation hgfs (or LanmanWorkstation, vmhgs) , and then replace it by LanmanWorkstation.
      • If the value data string contains hgfs (or vmhgfs), then delete it and leave the value data string empty.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Close the registry editor. Choose file > output.
    6. Restart the virtual machine.

If you want to re-enable the VMware shared folders feature, add , hgfs (or vmhgs)

at the end of the value data string, or a whole chain hgfs ( or vmhgs)

If it is empty.  Alternatively, you can reinstall VMware Tools, using the Complete

option to re - activate the shared folders.

  • Problem writing external file on the disk mounted outdoors in Windows

    People,

I have a strange problem with a simple OWB mapping where I am dumping the contents of a table to an external file.
The versions are OWB v 11.2.0.2 64 - bit on Oracle RDBMS 11.2.0.2 2007 Windows 64 - bit Enterprise Server.

When the external files module is connected to a place that point to a local drive and directory on the OWB server, everything works fine - files are created and written.
When the external files module is connected to a location that points to a disk mounted on another Enterprise 2007 64-bit Windows Server, I get + "path not valid for the target file, check if the connector is deployed correctly. +

The "File System Path location" in OWB is set to "N" (no slash anyway). ' ' Test connection ' reports OK.

I gave the os user Oracle and "Everyone" (for good measure) all rights on the mounted disk, and I see that the package generated code uses the correct directory, and the directory path is correct on the server. The drive mounted (N :) should appear as a local disk to Oracle I see. I am able to create and delete files on the disk using a command line on the OWB/DB server.

I'm scratching my head on this one...

    Hello Haakon,
try to specify the directory in OWB with UNC path (instead with a letter, as \\other-server\shared-resource of the drive).
MS Windows sessions for executed OWB mapping and where you map resource network to the drive letter is different - maybe it's a reson why you can't access the mapping file.

You close your session to the Oracle database server after network sharing the drive letter mapping?

    Kind regards
    Oleg

  • Search for temporary files in the Expplorer folder

I'm used to looking for all temporary files in file Explorer (such as ~ $areness_JPH.doc, ~ $areness_JPH.docx). I find with the stream "~ *.» "*" (quotes included).

It works in certain drive/directory, but not the others. In general, this does not work in my partitioned disks as G:\ H:\ When I searched with "~ *.» "* ', I get all the files, which amounts to research" *. " * ».

    Clues? Thank you.

I do not have the same restriction for some reason, I'm not, but I have the syntax, you can try.  Special symbols are not always easily available and may require the use of the special search syntax and quotes.  Since you are looking for the ~ always at the beginning of a file name, I would try the characters ~< which="" limit="" matching="" to="" the="" start="" of text="" (by="" the="" way,="" ~="">, with the arrow in the other direction, deadline for the end of the text, and ~ = is to match any part of the breast).  (The tilde in this syntax is coincidentally matches what you are looking for and are used for research in general).

    name: ~.<>

If you want to use wildcards and search for symbols too, the syntax is just ~, but this requires also a complete match as if it was the "equal" sign =, so should be asterisks at the beginning and at the end of your search text to find partial matches.  (The "equal" sign requires a full match but does not allow for wildcards).

    name: ~ ' * exa! "improved."

  • Temporary file path is not valid. LR cannot start. Mac OS10.4.11 LR 2.7 Mac

Need help. Just go open LR and get this message. Then it closes. I ran DiskUtility and fixed permissions. Still no workie.

So what temporary file path is he referring? Where is he?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

All process (same GUI) will be an environment that he spent, and a part of this environment is the path to where the temporary space can be used by the application.

Somehow it is missing, which I've never heard of on OS X. I suspect it's a problem with how the Lightroom app package is installed, which means may there is one of these times a relocation can actually help. Move the old Lightroom app directory/packet in the Applications of the road first.

Things less invasive you can try first:

I guess you rebooted the system? Try cleaning the temporary directory. You should be able to find it by opening a Terminal and typing "echo $TMP".

    [Later]

Check that/var/tmp (you need to use the Terminal to access this folder) is cleaned on reboot. If this is not the case, make sure that there is and it is almost empty. You will probably not be able to delete anything there that you are not the owner, but we want to see is that it is not filled with hundreds or thousands of directories and files of higher level.
