Problem on the Qosmio F50 - 10Z card reader

I had this problem for a while, he started with the original OS Vista 32-bit, so I decided to buy the cd to upgrade toshiba for windows 7, after the update level, everything worked fine, except for the card reader, regardless of how many times I have installed/uninstalled, installed the driver, it wouldn't work!

So I used the recovery cd, not once BUT TWICE, and nothing helps I sent to repair.
I received a message on a piece of paper telling me that it would work on the original operating system, I thought that they had something fixed.
Then I used the recovery cd AGAIN and to my excitement thrown short to see any yellow explanation points I put a micro sd card (2 GB) that worked when I bought this laptop first and got no response.
The biggest problem is that my warranty is now closed!, so basically, I've been HIT MORE, cause the memory card slot does NOT WORK and it wasn't a software problem!

Any reccomendations?

Hi karimtarek,

Which driver version you are using on Vista and Windows 7? My Qosmio F50 is running Windows 7 and I m using the version of the driver on Toshiba page 1.00.29.02.
You use the same version?

In addition, it would be interesting to know if the SD card has worked once you have received the notebook service center back. Have you tested before or did you start installation recovery immediately?

Have you tried different brands of SD cards? I always use the SanDisk Extreme cards because they did not no problem.
In addition, you could try updating the BIOS. Maybe this works if you are using an older version

Last but not least if it s does not always work and you think that it s a hardware malfunction, ask at the center of service again. If you speak a bit with technicians, maybe they can fix it as a gesture of goodwill.

Good luck! :)

  • Screen not switch on the Qosmio F50 - 10Z

    Hello

Recently, I received my laptop Toshiba Qosmio F50 - 10Z (yesterday), I am very pleased with. However I seem to have a problem with the screen does not reverse when you start the laptop in sleep or hibernation mode. I tried to change the output screen (Fn + F5) but it makes no difference, and the laptop screen is always off. I need to cut my machine (5 seconds by pressing the button / stop) and restart manually. Then, the screen lights up again.

It doesn't seem to be drivers updated compared to those I already have / preinstalled.

I hope someone can help solve my problem.

    Thank you

The story is really strange for me also
I'm 100% sure that Toshiba provides new laptops and if you bought a laptop with a few scratches then you should blame your laptop for the same problem dealer

  • Boot from the disk ESATA on the Qosmio F50 - 10Z

    Hello

is it possible to boot from an external drive using the ESATA port?
I have BIOS 1.60 installed but I don't see an option for ESATA?

    What a USB? Laptop is a Qosmio F50 - 10Z

    Thank you

I think that it of not possible to start from eSATA. The BIOS should provide this type of functionality.
I've never tried, but I think that's not possible.

As far as I know, it must be possible to boot from a USB device.
The BIOS does not support this then try it.

Ive had a bit of trouble with my card on my A110-275 reader. Whenever I put an SD card, the light flashes to say he recognizes her, but no matter what I can't seem to load.

I know that's not the card because my father has a similar laptop and I have no problem whatsoever with his.

I was wondering if it could be the drivers? Anyone got any info on the place where to download?

  • On the Qosmio F50 of blue screen problem

    Hello world!

Suddenly, I have a problem with my Qosmio F50. Frequently, it goes to the blue screen and says there is a problem with the hardware. I am running Vista and I havnt really brand new programs installed recently. I tried to write the code for the last time, it's happened, but has failed to catch the last didgits:

    STOP 0X0600008E 0CC0000005 (0X00000000, 0XA7F5IA9C...)

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you.

    Hi blackgravy,

At the present time it is difficult to tell why you get a blue screen it s often associated with drivers or RAM/HDD. First of all, you must follow the instructions posted by Akuma. Check your RAM with Memtest86. It s a freeware for RAM diagnostic tool where you can download an iso image to create a startup disk.

To test the HARD drive, I can recommend similar Drive Fitness Test procedure such as Memtest86 with iso image and the bootable disc.

  • Qosmio F50 - graphics card may not be recognized under 64-bit Windows

I installed the operating system Windows XP 64 on Toshiba Qosmio F50 - 10K. I have a big problem, because Windows XP does not recognize my graphics card (nvidia geforce 9600 m gt).
I tried to install the drivers from the nvidia site, but once this graphics card still has not been recognized.
It causes that, when I try to push and drag a window, I can see how it is re-paint.

Could someone help me to solve my problem?

    Hello!

I think that the problem cannot be solved. Toshiba doesn't support any laptop computer with Windows XP 64-bit because it is OS was not so popular.

The only way I know is to use drivers from external Web sites and update your BIOS to the latest version. If it doesn't work, you must use another operating system.

I think that the Qosmio F50 is really fast enough for Vista 64-bit. Try it and you will see too much work.

  • Qosmio F50 - 10Z overheating - Cooler recommendations

    Hello

My Qosmio F50 - 10Z Guard stops due to overheating. I think Toshiba then set up this kind of configuration would have kept this question in mind. in any case, I thought that the solution would be to get a notebook cooler, but the problem is that the Qosmio F50 fan on the far upper right side and most portable coolers have fans more near the Center. I would be grateful if someone could recommend a good portable cooler for this model (or any other solution to the problem of overheating).

    Thank you

    Rehan.

    Rehan salvation!

I can understand you, but I have at this point, I must say that I have too many Qosmio F50. He models the F50-10B s and also has Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHz but it s quick model with GeForece 9700 M GTS (I know your model contains only 9600M).

What can I say about this? Well, first of all, I love this laptop. I love the laptops with 15.4 screen so it s not not little and not wholesale. The design of the silver/black is absolutely nice with white lighting. Not the same boring design than on most other phones. All my games work well on this laptop.

On the issue of cooling, Windows and Office, the laptop is very cool fan doesn t usually works. On my Qosmio laptop I m using two power modes:
    (1) profile of PowerSaver I use for Internet and office: here I defined the maximum processor at 75 State and as cooling method I put in battery. If I can put a lot of power and it s enough for Internet and office.
    (2) balanced: I use it for my games so I maximum cooling performance and the status of the maximum processor that I have set to 100%.

Moreover, I clean my Qosmio laptop every 3-4 months using a jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans and so I don't have to disassemble the laptop. I think that's really good.

  • Qosmio F50 - 10Z revolves around 80oc degress

    Hi guys,.

Have a very little bit of trouble with my Qosmio F50 - 10Z, the GPU (9600M GT) revolves around 80 ^ o ^ c degrees when using, the system has been cleaned with air compress and is in perfect condition of the art, I use the laptop on a table computer as well to ensure air flow.

    Thank you very much.

AFAIK Qosmio F50 is old enough laptop model and if you use every day on base maybe is time for cleaning professionals. Compress the air is OK but more of dust is just inside and cold air and cooling rack may be blocked by dust.

I've seen repeatedly disassembled portable and it is raise what it looks like inside after two or three years of use. In my old notebook I found cat s hair.

What is with cooling fan? It runs at maximum speed?

  • Qosmio F50 - 10Z Bios Update crashed - how a cmos reset?

I have a Qosmio F50 - 10Z and prompted by toshiba I downloaded the Bios Update and started to install.
My screen saver came and it crashed.

Not turn off (even after pressing the power button for 15 seconds).
The drums and then put back. Computer skills on but the screen is blank and will not boot to the top.

Tried to take part to Flash the bios by removing battery cmos/rtc (whatever it's called) but cannot find the battery and got to the point where I wasn't ready to dismantle any more (nobody else never disassembled a?)

Could not find information or diagram or picture where the battery has been on the net... manual really useless laptop)

Found reviews records of crisis, but I don't know what that means.

So, how to I reset the bios?

Please help - you're my only hope.

    > So, now, I find the cmos/rtc battery (if it's rechargeable explains so why does not easily localized) removed, he persevered on in a more accessible place - always reset BIOS

Removing battery RTC would not help reset you mate sorry to the ROM BIOS module but what you did was completely useless
It seems that the ROM modules where the BIOS is stored, was not properly flashed or something went wrong during the flash procedure

In case of bad you the mobo is unfortunate but I think that Flash module ROM once more with a disc of crisis could help solve this case
But the fact is that flashing the ROM module with a disc of crisis can be done by a technician of Toshiba ASP.
That's why I recommend contacting the guys in your country and ask for flashing ROM

  • Qosmio F50 - 10Z with windows XP

    Hi all

I just bought an a Qosmio F50 - 10Z to run a CAD program, which does not work with Vista, unfortunately. I would like to keep Vista and add windows XP in a Setup to dual boot with Vista BootPro.

Everything seems simple so far, but I am a novice to what follows. Apparently, after some research, I learned to integrate a XP disc with the necessary drivers. I'm a bit of a loss as to what drivers to collect etc so I went to ask the advice of a COMPUTER technician and he said that unless the drivers are available on the toshiba site then it is not possible to install XP at all.

Is this true?, or is there anything else we can do? The interest to buy the laptop was running the CAD program (which only works on XP).

    Any help is very appreciated.

    > I'm a bit of a loss as to what drivers to collect etc so I went to ask the advice of a COMPUTER technician and he said that unless the drivers are available on the Toshiba site then it is not possible to install XP at all.

    That's nonsense!
Of course, you will be able to install Win XP but the point is that a lot of portable devices does not work with Win XP due to unavailable drivers or tools

The XP drivers are not available on the Toshiba driver page, but you can find it on other sites.

    For example;
Sounds and driver LAN can be downloaded from the Realtek page.
WLAN driver Intel page or here:

    Driver BT from here:

  • Cannot install Windows XP on the Qosmio F50-108

I got the Qosmio F50-108 with Vista.

I dislike Vista so I tried to install XP.
Unfrtunatelly, I get a BSOD every time XP takes over for the first time (startup). Usually, when there is a problem of sata, XP tells you while there's no HARD drive, but I do not get this message, I get a BSOD.
I don't know why there is no support for XP in fact I know that Microsoft paid toshiba to stop supporting Windows XP.

Is the thing that drives me crazy, YOU CAN INSTALL WIN XP ON EVERY APPLE COMPUTER MACINTOSH, but you can't do it with a Toshiba.

I know that there is a possibility, I know that an update of the bios might help, but toshiba does not.
Dear Sirs to Toshiba, I know you know what I have to do in order to get XP running on a Toshiba computer, so please, help me.

    Hi guys

You can install XP on each laptop Toshiba. But you knew how! : D

Your Windows XP CD must contain the SP2. This is important because the new laptops no matter which manufacturer need SP2 patches due to some hardware compatibility issues!
Without the SP2, you will receive a BSOD!

Then, the new notebooks support SATA drives hard and new SATA controllers!
Windows XP and Vista operating systems do not contain the SATA drivers, and therefore you must include first before running the installer of the OS.
Or you can disable the SATA in the BIOS. You will need to switch from AHCI to compatibility mode.

Then, you must install the XP window successfully.

So finally, I must say that I really don't understand these comments like this:
    > Is the thing that drives me crazy, YOU CAN INSTALL WIN XP ON EVERY APPLE COMPUTER MACINTOSH, but you can't do it with a Toshiba.
OK, I see you're frustrated because you cannot install the operating system, but he must know that this is not a problem of laptop, but it is only a case or a knowledge!
So maybe you should learn more about new technologies and you'll know how things are working. ;)

To all here-> greetings & peace;)
