Problem opening word document

Hello

Once again a question from my side.

I have only one request. It is to have a shortcut that points to a word document. The document opens well with Microsoft office word 2007/2010 when the file is kept on site and launched.

Now I want to start this shortcut with locally installed Microsoft Word 2010. Is there a way we can achieve this in the package.

As in Microsoft App - V we can make the application more merged with local resources to interact. As in ThinApp we isolation mode to keep it as fusion and I kept it merged but stil it does not open.

Can anyone of you have any suggestions how to proceed?

pbjork

No idea how this is possible.

Please help with this, I understand that.

Kind regards

Karim

Yes, you launch Word inside the virtual package... problem is when you have a lot of content, it is very often native application (Word in this case) does not see what it requires or see to many... At the end of the day. It will not be a stable solution... For example... If you have already run the word I think you will not be able to launch the shortcut...

There is an update available for the words to open the DOCX files.

  • Unable to navigate to Microsoft Word as a program by default to open word documents

    Hello

Disk, I recently installed a portable copy of Microsoft Office 2002 on a new computer. Windows 7. I used the software on another laptop with Windows XP.

After installing the software, I can't change the default program for the version of MS Word correctly, I'm running.

I am able to open a new word document and thereby open the corresponding folder, but it's a little embarrassing.

I am only able to define "wordicon" as the default program to open files, but this does not open the file at all.

    I have:

    • Went to the start menu and looked at the Word location is stored on my PC "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start start\program' but when you paste this in the location to browse the selection of default for my document programs shows wordicon and then does not allow me to open my document
    • target navigation "Custom control programs" but get the same problem as above
    • Click on "change program" when I navigate to 'control Panel\Programs\Programs and features '.
    • trying to solve the problems through MS word itself, but does not

Any help anyone could give would be much appreciated. I usually find the answer by looking at the various forums but not this time.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Index of problem - importing Word documents

    Hello everyone.

    I use RoboHelp HTML 7.02.001.
I created a new project for importing Word documents (Word 2003 SP2) in.
There are nearly 100 records, all pretty small with defined Index entries. (These were broken on 9 training manuals)

A before posting, I was advised that the output should be WebHelp, because users will have access to it through the corporate Intranet.
Project settings has Index > add new keywords to > Index File (Perfect). And binary Index is checked, but I don't think it's necessary.

I am importing several Word documents in a folder of the project at a time.
Opens the screen of the wizard: import Word Document Conversion Options and the following items are checked.
    Preserve the title styles
    Convert the Table of contents
    Convert Index
Add new keywords for the file Index (Perfect)
Then, I chose to create only 1 sheet of Style Master who is subsequently changed.

The Word Document Wizard: Split on Style window screen opens and all controls are deleted, because this step is already completed.

My problem: The index is empty after importation.

How can I fix this without having to change each HTML page?

    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you
    Julie

When I show preview before printing, it shows that if the whole of the document will print correctly and the image should print very well... Hi @dmanyeah,

Thank you for reaching out to the forums! I understand that you encounter printing problems in Word, the full image is not printing. Thanks for providing the screenshots. I'd love to help you.

Try to print a picture from another application to see if you have the same problem.

To exclude the driver, install a generic driver to see if you have the same results.

    • On the computer, go to start, devices and printers, right-click on your printer and select printer properties.
    • Click the Advanced tab and click new driver, and then click Next.
    • HP Deskjet 9800 by selecting in the list or the Deskjet 990c printer, click Next, Finish, and apply the settings. (you can always go back and revert to the original printer driver)

    Open the document

    1. In Word, click file in the Ribbon, and then click Open.
    2. Click the damaged document, and then click Open.

You can also try this app - eRepair Word http://www.erepairword.com/

    Two points:

    1. the easiest way is to define a right-click on association any
example of a file with this extension. Choose open with and define the
Association, making sure to check the box "always use...". ».

    2. you say ' * sometimes * when I try to open a Word document "and that
'sometimes' suggests that you can open .doc files, but not files .docx.
If so, you have a version of Word prior to 2007; install the
    Compatibility Pack to

  • I can't open Word documents as it freezes.

When opening WORD blank document hangs and I have to close it. It then sends an error report. When I try to open a WORD document, the page is just blank. still, when I go to close, it sends an error report.

You should ask questions related to the word in the appropriate forum Word.  Do not forget to mention the version of Word that you have (click Help > subject).

While you are waiting for a reply in a forum of Word, you could see if deletion (see paragraph 4 of the article linked) the NORMAL template fixed things.  See http://www.pcdon.com/word-unstable-corrupted-normal-dot.html
