Problem reassociating with correct .zip files
By mistake, I opted to open a .zip with the itunes application file and now all my zip files are using this application. How to re-associate the format .zip with the correct program?

It would be better to download another one from somewhere, if so where?Hello Bazzer49,
Welcome to the forum!
Here are some questions that will help us give you a better answer:
When the .zip file doesn't work, what happens? (actually never open, is open but it is empty, ect.)
Do you get any error messages?
Are you just trying to access what is inside or what you want to do with the .zip file?

problem by opening the Zip file
I have 8.0 Zip when I create a zip file and open the zip file all show but open in notped.
The possible Zip files were dissasociated and rather associated with Notepad. Go to start / Default programs / high a file or program with a Protocol / and go to .zip files. It shows probably associated with Notepad. Go to the following link: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and select the zip file option file and run it to reset the association of zip files.
If this does not work, install 7-Zip http://www.7-zip.org/ one good program free Zip. This should establish associate files with 7-Zip Zip (OK this action if requested). Then, use 7 - Zip to open the Zip file.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Hello
In the case of zip files, you can right and select extract files to get all the files extracted using File Explorer. For RAR files, you can try 7 - zip:

Hope that answers your query :)

Script to save as tif with compression zip, file properties
I don't know anything about scripting so that I cannot understand the answers to similar questions and merge a response to mine.
I'm looking for a script to save my images as tiff with zip compression using the title of the Document in the file properties.

Problem exporting with multitrack - unplug files are silencers and 189kb size
I use CS6 and I have a problem with multi-track export: I have six tracks and that you want to export all to separate files. So I used the multitrack export option and selected the main track both individual tracks, however only the masters and the first two ways to export properly, the other four are all silent and 189 KB in size.
I was assured all the outputs of the track are set to the master in the mixer. I tried to export using the time selection or the whole track. I adjusted my location of the temp files, tried to export the tracks one at a time, and again, it won't work.
Export the master works very well, as do the first two tracks, it's just the remaining titles that are the problem.
Any ideas what the problem might be?
Hmm, that didn't help as I had hoped. If you want to send me an e-mail directly to [email protected] , we can help out a little further without posting on the public forum. I'd be curious to see if it's something that I can reproduce on my side.
Thank you

I received files in zip format that I downloaded. However, when I click on the file to open it, I get a box that says "application not found" and I am not able to access the files.
Can someone help me understand what is happening and why I can't download files moreHi Barbara,
1. is the specific issue confined to zip files?
2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
3. is there any software zip file that is installed on your computer?
First of all, I suggest you try to access a different zip file and check if you are able to open. This will help us know if the problem is with the zip file special or the application.
I suggest you do a right click on the particular file and select extract and check if you are able to access the particular file.
See the following for more information Microsoft article.

However, when it is a zip file, MS Excel is enabled - Excel says 'unrecognizable format' - I have plenty of "-cancellation).
It has been produced for at least weeks - it just me is appeared that this started when I upgraded to firefox 8.0 (but not positive) - yesterday, I've upgraded to Firefox 9.0View > toolbars-> Uncheck Menu bar

Download of any .zip file or program causes the Crash
(1) sometimes when a download is completed with a .zip file, immediately after Internet Explorer Startup 'windows' loading violently on 2s, little white, black. Now there is no mouse so not menu Manager or task or the possibility of restart begins. He not only put there turned off or unplug, rest, restart in safe mode.
(2) sometimes if you download without immediate action that precedes, I'll go to my download folder in Windows Explorer and if the named file.zip#/ is there with success, then click left just to highlight or do right click to click Open, the same frenzy described above again.
Now, I've noticed that the loading window, was after clicking to select this .zip file, what should happen on the Solution Explorer toolbar is the word "Extract" appears. Well, I get the Internet Explorer of the e icon instead. That's when I knew I'm in big trouble. If you don't touch the file with the mouse, then try clicking on the arrow next to the e Internet Explorer in the toolbar, the frenzy of loading will begin and continue until power off. It's the classes .zip file not just one, as I have tried a dozen different one is now in the last week or two. I have no malware or viruses. Where this kind of problem would be located?

Any attempt to create results by "Access denied" error zip file
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I am logged in as administrator. UAC is not active on this machine.
Any attempt to create a zip file results in a dialog box stating "unable to complete the operation. Access is denied. "If I select a file or group of files/folders, do a right click and say 'Send to Zip', I get this error. Interestingly, while the error dialog box is still open, the zip file will be displayed in the current folder. Clicking OK in the box dialog error cancels the dialog box and deletes the zip file. This seems to be some sort of permissions thing. Can I create a zipfile by clicking right in the Explorer window by clicking on "new", then "compressed (zipped) folder", and it will create the file very well. I can even give it a name. Any attempt to copy anything in this new zip file generates an error "file not found or no read permission. Try to delete the zip file says 'you need permission from administrators to make changes to this file.So now, I open the properties for the zip file and go to the Security tab. It was there that I discovered that this file has no owner are entrusted to him. I can then change owners, add my name as the owner of the file, assign full control to myself, apply the changes, and now the zip file can be read/written/removed normally. So whenever I need to create a zip file, I have to go through the steps of creating-> change the properties of the-> Assign owner-> Apply-> add files to the Zip file. It's a royal pain in the keester. My question is: what changes to do to confide as the owner by default when a zip file is created? This seems to happen with only zip files, any other type of file gives me this problem. What happened since I got this computer brand new with Windows 7 64 - bit on it. I can't say that it is a "Virgin" installation, he was photographed by a group of COMPUTER companies (I work for a fairly large company). This group is a clue what happens and apparently others in our society do not report this problem.Solved! The problem is with the permissions on the 'TEMP' directory which is used during the process of zip. See this announcement and scroll down to "more useful answer.
