  You should be able to open the Canon 5 d Mark III of files in photoshop cs5 update to camera raw 6.7

  (Help > updates in photoshop cs5)

  For the Canon 6 d, the 8.1 DNG Converter should work by converting your files 6 d camera raw to DNG

  copies, which should then open in photoshop cs5.

  I just got a Canon 5 d Mark iii camera and I always shoot in Raw. I downloaded them on my computer and when I went to open them in Photoshop CS 5.1 it tells me it is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw. I tried to do an update and it still does not work. I'm helpless as to where I start. Can someone please help me with this?

  Lightroom 6 trying to copy pictures to a different directory than what is Lightroom 5. That's why you have the problem.

  You can change the directory where you are teaching LR 6 to place photos, or change the permissions on this directory to read & write.

  The latest version of LR3 has been updated in last December, and the 5D.3 is more recent than that, then Yes you need LR4.

  You can download the trial LR4 (or just the update 4.1 www.adobe.come/downloads/updates/ LR) and have 30 days before you need to purchase and enter a serial number.

  The other choice is to use the 7.1 to DNG Converter that knows your new camera, but allows the converted DNG open in LR3.

  You try to import directly from the camera or a card reader? Direct the camera setting was known to be a bit flaky, so if you do this try a card reader instead.

I have tried Sandisk Rescue program but no current images were found. Images counter down with or without a CF card inside, but there are some components equal to an image.

  You also have an SD card in the camera? Even if you don't think you use, look for your images. Behavior of the 3 to 5 with the two card slots occupied can be very strange. Suppose you said to use the CF card, but to switch to the SD card if the CF card is full or unavalable. Then, suppose you take the card CF - to put it in a card reader, for example. The camera starts the SD card permanently, even if it is disabled at the moment. Then, if you put the CF card, the camera will not return to use it; You must manually set again.   This message is correct. Version 3.6 is the latest version of Lightroom 3, so there is no update to this version.

  However, this is not the whole story. You have to pay to upgrade (no update) Lightroom to version 4 or 5.

  The Canon 5 d Mark III has been initially supported by Lightroom 4.1. This camera will never be supported in Lightroom 3.

  So you must have at least version 4.1 but Adobe only sells version 5.

  So your best bet is to pay to switch to Lightroom 5.7 so you can open Raw of Mark III 5 d directly files in Lightroom.

  Or, you can download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all 5 d Mark III Raw files to DNG, and then edit the DNG in Lightroom 3.6.

  Can you try a few new shooting CR2 files and then place them in a folder on your hard drive rather than on the external hard drive. You can import from this site using the menu of the Organizer:

  I installed the 4.1 update, but still cannot open raw files from my Canon 5 d Mark III. Does anyone else have this problem?

  Thank you to everyone. Finally, what has worked is I deleted programs and more. I then upgraded to 4.1 and it worked fine.
