  2. When you get the ticking sound?
  3. Is that when you use an application or program?
  4. You get an error message while, key board is not working properly?

  3. Remove the side panel of the cover of your case and do operate the machine with the lid side for 30 to 60 minutes see if the noise subsides. If the noise disappears, your hard drive is probably overheating, causing the noise.

  Hello, I bought a HP 2000-2b43dxbefore 15 days and I am sneaking suspicion there is problem wih fan / air on my laptop.

  When I turned my laptop first and next 2-3 days, my fan was silent until I couldn't hear his work so its normal because when I turn the laptop there is no operation takes this fan needs to cool the components.

Some portable cooling is controlled by an algorithm in the BIOS ROM, which is based on the temperature ramp (delta) in the motherboard and CPU.

  The fan come on your laptop starting up is quite normal. If the temperature is too hot the CPU turns off as self protection.  There are a number of Programs utility we can use if we're slightly paraniod on the temperature of the processor of the laptop, but so general, it is not really much to worry.

• Want to Phoenix 860-010: problem with fonts and the noisy fan

  I have a new machine, just a day old, and I'm having a problem with fonts.  The file Explorer, Edge and other similar programs seem to go from a very readable font that lights up in half a second or less whenever I move down on the page in these applications.  Police that results is much more difficult for me to read because of the lightness that results. I have not met this problem before.  Frankly, I don't know the source of the problem.  Is it hardware (video card) or (Windows 10) operating system software?

• Reset SMC fails to fix the problem of fan

  So I tried to solve a problem where my fans are running overtime on my end 2011 MBP 13 ". I did a reset of the PRAM and SMC. However, I'm not sure that the SMC reset has never really worked. In the past when perform SCM restores, I remember that my magsafe adaptor change color, this was not past. The problem with the fans running continues. I tried several times, it doesn't seem to work.

  I don't know that I'm following the correct procedure, taking the left SHIFT-control-option and power keys at the same time and releasing at the same time.

  Open the MBP and see if there is dust and debris inside.  If so, clean.

  Someone had problems with the dv5-1015ea model?  I recently had an and it seems to make a humming/rattling noise (but this is not the fan) especially when your running a program or on the internet?  Any comments will be useful

  A number of our machines have been touched by a runaway distnoted process after the upgrade to El Capitan. We never had a problem with it in Yosemite.

  Basically, the machine will become insensitive and if you are able to open the Terminal or SSH into the machine and run it, you will see the distnoted process consuming more than 380% of the processor and load average equal to or greater than 300. I recently had an average load of more than 800 on my MacBook Air, until I could kill the distnoted process. And as soon as the process is killed, the load average start dropping immediately.

  Yes.  Several times a day and it's maddening!

  Sometimes I can kill disunited over time, and sometimes I go back to my Mac with the fans screaming and nothing to do but to restart.

  When I carry my Satellite C660-223 somewhere for example wear at home to College in a protective case in my backpack, I sometimes get a window warning flashing upward every 20 seconds or so said system + "warning: a problem with the cooling system has been detected." Please turn the computer off immediately and return it for service. +

  This only happens when I transported somewhere and as a first step, that these warnings system flashed only sometimes upwards after I hauled somewhere, but in the last two years, he started to get pretty much whenever I took the laptop somehwere.   (2) blocked cooling vents or fans
