Problem with layout in different browsers!

Hey there. I am new to this whole CSS thing and thought I'd give it a try for my portfolio page. Now I don't mean to make some uber-fancy site as I am not a web designer. I just want a functional site that works in all browsers I can not be able to appear to be in trouble.

Here's my problem:

TIS is the appearance of a page in Google Chrome:

http://tylerlischka.com/images/PageinChrome.jpg

and that's how he lookis in Explorer:

http://tylerlischka.com/images/PageinExplorer.jpg

Now of course I don't want those black boxes in there.

Here is my HTML code:

• problem with layout / repeat region part 2...

Seems I didn't crack it immediately - have essentially a details page which is cut into three - with details of a candidate upper-left, their profile to work at the top right, with a long CV text appearing below the two.

All fields are of the table but profiles of School Board candidates - so the profiles must be a repeat region to list them all.

For the life of me, I can not available to work because I like Tho ' anything appearing afer will not display the repeat region.

See here:

link

Below the header field in the CV CV should appear - as in:

< b >
< td colspan = "2" valign = "top" class = 'labelcell' > < table > CV
< /tr >
< b >
< class td = "profilecell" > <? PHP echo $row_Candidates ['CV'];? > < table >
< /tr >

But when you view the source, the <? PHP echo $row_Candidates ['CV'];? > is AWOL and appear in the form:

< b >
< td colspan = "2" valign = "top" class = 'labelcell' > < table > CV

< b >
< class td = "profilecell" > < table >

Someone at - he places what is happening here?

Just as I thought I had this page presentation done and dusted, as usual, there is something not quite right!

Iain

Good news! I managed to fix two problems with this page, by simply adding a second, simple recordset coming interview the candidates table. In doing so, this means that candidates with no display still attached profile and fixed the glitch with the fields showing on the market.

So, the next thing is to find the page to add/fix the profiles to the candidates.

I just created my site and after test with all browsers except ie6 (stupidly) everything works fine, but for some reason in ie6, it displays incorrectly on this page http://www.flitecarz.co.uk/WD-Postcodes-Covered.html the part of the problem is on the right side where there is a quick navigation to the different postcode areas. If you view it in all browsers except ie6, you'll see how its supposed to work.

I was constantly do some different BSOD in the past while, and I'm really getting bored so I thought I'd come here to try and get some answers. The BSOD I get is:

In my view, there is more than 1, but I don't know what it was.

Hello

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, this leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who will be generally
be older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it)
and then go look for new ones manually if you wish.

I am new to Web design, I tried to make my own web page using sensitive design (bootstrap, css, etc.), the site is already the case for a large number of resolutions and it works fine in the preview of the browsers, but say for example I see the iPad website with a resolution of 1024 x 768 , the site is displayed correctly, but if I scroll down on the sides, I can see the rest of the background, and as you know is not very elegant... So what can I do to allow users to see everything they need to see? I tried to give the background of different sizes in different resolutions, but it worked because when I arrived at higher resolutions the CSS queries, I created in lower resolutions are not stayed I left their... Can anyone give me a tip?

• Problems with same or different loadind & activation, on the purchase of a second laptop with platfor operation.

question 1: this page says a single license for Photoshop CS6 can be activated on a second computer. It is unclear if one can have a different software on the second computer platform. In my case, my original activation is on a Windows 7 laptop, which got a software upgrade of Windows 10 and therefore the Photoshop CS6 is now working on Windows 10. Now I think to buy a second laptop, that can be an Apple, or it may be Windows base 10. Do I have the right to have the second installation on 10 Windows or Apple? Or the second laptop need only Windows?

2nd question: If two laptops can be installed at the same time with my permit a driving Photoshop CS6, then I have to disable the 1st laptop before installing on the 2nd laptop? And in this case, if my 1st laptop is on Windows 10, can my laptop replacement are allowed to be window 10 or Apple?

question 3: above must answer for my Lightroom 6 also.

Could you provide these answers for me soon, please.

My email address: [Email address removed by Moderator]. I am in Delhi, India. If you can direct me to a representative of your for help with the clarification above, let me know their contact phone numbers.

with cs6, both computers must be pc or Mac. You can exchange your pc license for mac license (and vice versa), an Adobe product for another language or version of trading platform

Lightroom is a cross-dilated license so you can install on a pc and a mac (or 2 Mac or PC 2).

• problem with layout of the mobile version Adobe Muse

Hi, I made recently a Web site (http://www.terbank-egenhoven.be) for Office Adobe Muse and then I reworked it into a mobile version. It looks perfect in the preview of Muse (left screenshot), if I write site, it is shown as right screenhot (lots of white space on the right, small text,...). The site is not hosted by catalyst. Can someone tell me what could be the problem? More funny thing is that if I host the site with catalyst it seems perfect there. Thanks in advance.

trb_muse.jpgNico

Hi Nico,

When you host your site? Sometimes if you host with another provider that has its own methods of detection devices, it can interfere with those who provide the muse. Check out this post from the forum (available phone shrunken left and tiny) and tell me if none of the scenarios (web forwarding, you use a separate host, etc.) apply to you.

Please let us know and we will deepen in this situation when we can identify what could be the cause of it!

• problems with htmlresources in different folios

Hello! I have a question. I'm working on different sheets.

1 name: ipadshowcase

I downloaded my scripts, html etc. through HTMLResources.zip

Everything works fine with the following path:

./HTMLResources/royal-slider-fn/fullwidth-h-index.html

Now, I did a new folio (under the same id). To test and I want to use the same htmlresoucres.zip

The other folio is called asics-showcase

I downloaded the same HTMLResources.zip

1 question. Should I reupload it?

2. question: even I use the same path in my new folio as above, he says that the path does not go...

Am I missing something?

Klaus

Each folio uses its own HTMLResources file so you will have to download again to the second folio.

It doesn't go your way. If your local web files are supposed to scripts etc in HTMLResources of reference, the path that they should use is...

.. /.. /.. /HTMLResources/

• Problem with XML and different line break styles

I'm working on a project that is being developed by some developers Flash Builder 4.6 running in Windows and some developers Flash Builder 4.6 running under OSX. We have difficulties due to the difference of newlines between the two environments. In an .as file with line breaks in style UNIX is similar to the following code:

var XML = < document >

< item >

< / item >

< / document >;

xml.appendChild (SomeClass.getXML ());

SomeClass.getXML () is located in a file .as using type line breaks Windows and is similar to the following:

public function getXML (): XML

{

var moreXML:XML = < anotherElement >

< childElement >

< / childElement >

< / anotherElement >;

Return moreXML;

}

When the XML object is serialized and written to a file on a Windows computer, it looks like this:

< document >

< item >

< / item >

< anotherElement >

< childElement >

< / childElement >

< / anotherElement > < / document >

Line for all outside anotherElement breaks are of the form \r\n. Line breaks it contains are of the form \r\r\n, causing thus the empty lines. I'm guessing that the odd line breaks are the cause of the strange setting indented, as well. None of these problems occur when XML is added to the xml file .as that employees style UNIX line breaks.

Is it possible to force the Flash Builder to use UNIX on Windows style line breaks? Otherwise, there are relatively specific to this problem solutions? Thank you!

Section clarified

I found a setting to force a certain style of line breaks: window-> Preferences-> General-> Workspace (delimiter line of file new text). The XML serializes as planned today.

• Problem with layout to a CSS Layout image

I'm not able to get the photo in image to make my point. I want it in the sidebar after the naviation menu.

However, it moves to the right and against which it is inserted.

I work a liquid two-column CSS layout header footer.

The linke is http://www.klbattorney.com

Murray * CPA * has written:

If you made the block: image display, you wouldn't even have to do.

I recreated the page and the link is here:

http://www.mytechnet.TalkTalk.NET/image_position01.htm>

OK, it shows in FF 8.0.1 but not in IE8. Something with his scripts, he used to create the simple Menu system that could be easily done with pure CSS.

• Problem with cluster containing different objects!

Hello to all 2!

Here's what I'm trying to do:

-J' have a group of 3 elements: 2 Boolean and 1 controls arrow.

-I want to display all the objects in the cluster and disappear in sequential order: Boolean - invisible; arrow - invisible, Boolean - visible; arrow-visible, invisible 2 - Boolean and so on.

I have attached a vi in which I tried to address this issue, but without success.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much!

Andrew.

Andrew,

Make the arrow a Boolean control with an image of an arrow. Then, all the controls are Boolean values, and visibility can be controlled by a simple loop.

• Problems with WMP54G and different types of connections

Good so I had originally a WPA network, but the computer that I was using this adapter could not connect to it. When I called the help line that the woman told me that I needed to change the connection to a WEP, because of the computer being a "battery 2. So I did, and it worked. But then we discovered that one of our laptops to work cannot connect to WEP key because of the limitations of security set by the company. Of course, the work computer is more important, so we had to return the WPA connection, and of course, the computer with the WMP54G could not connect.

I went out and drivers me for the card, but when I tried to install it told me I had already. So I do not know where to go from here. Any suggestions?

AS the drivers for the card is already installed on your computer, the best way is to upgrade the Service Pack on your computer. Open IE and click on 'Tools' Menu bar and click on Windows Update, this will download all later corrected from the Microsoft Web site and once the update the complited, then your computer can connect to your network using WPA security.

• Problem with layout / repeat region

Can someone have a look at this please?

Essentially two versions of a page of details based on a Recordset by using two tables and an interconnection table of choice.

The idea is to display the details of the person at the top of the page on the left (from the 'Candidates' table) and right any job "profiles" for this person (in a table of 'Profiles'). The page is obviously just showing the details of the candidate, but must be of * all * profiles associated with.

So, on the first page, the information is correct, but because it shows the first record in the query.

So I thought it would be a simple case of add a repeat region to the line of 'Profiles' on the right side. But when I do this, most of the coordinates are displayed not only the ID and name fields.

Clues?

Scratch that - just rebuilt the table, and turned with the CSS and it's fine.

• Problem with layout using columns

Hello
I'm unable to align an image to the right of the page when there is something else in the same region (different column):

Then. my page has a small list of selection in Column1 of the Body (1) region and an image next to it I don't want displayed on the far right. This will not happen even if I assign to column 9. It ignores also any div tag I put for some reason any. Preferably, I would like to list selection and the image to be on the same line but the picture much more right on the screen.

Thanks in advance,
Tom

It will probably depend on the page template, you use. If you use the standard model delivered by apex, put this region in the position of the 3 page template region. That one is supposed to show on the right side. You can also try to put the following in the attributes of your region region HTML table cell in the first column

Width = '100% '.

to see what will happen.
