• To Windows 7 problem with CS3

  I have CS3 which I bought in 2007. It was an upgrade to Dreamweaver MX Studio. Like many people, I had to upgrade my desktop and laptop for Windows 7 XP. I turn off on both machines, it redownloaded and after installing it, takes my serial number, but not the update of Studio MX serial number. Cat tried to support, telephone support I tried, but no help. Oddly enough, I found a transcript of chat of 2007 when I first installed and had the same problem at the time. Do I have any recourse?

  I checked the case notes and serial number must be unlocked.

• problem with CS3 timeline invisible layer names

  I guess I have something changed by pressing a key or what-not, but on the side of the timeline layer name is now gone. There are no names of layers or buttons for the invivislbe, etc.. Just executives. How can I get this back?

  Well I guess I fugred a way, go to the editing top-right window, "placement" and "disconnect from the document.
  Which resize the timeline, so the layer properties were still visible. Don't know what that is. in any case, it's a way to find the properties of the layer in the window installation for CS3,

• Problem with the Code/Design view buttons

  OK, I work with DW CS4 v.10.0 Build 4117 on a platform of Win XP Pro SP3.

  When you work with files from my site, they open in Code view.  The Split and design buttons are grayed out.  When I click the page layout button, the check mark is sometimes next to the option Code, but sometimes next to Design (even if the page is clearly displayed only in Code view!).

  To view the file in Design view or split view, click the page setup button, click on the Code, click on the button layout again, click Design or split view and then it will display the page in this way file.

  It's SO frustrating!  Is this a bug in CS4?  (I scanned through the other topics and can't seem to find anything about it.)  I don't remember having this problem with CS3 and have spoken with other DW CS3 users who also say that they have never had this happen.

  What can I do?

  I might have a solution for this one. I had the same problem. It would be 'reliable' whenever I would create a new PHP file.

  "File" > "New" > "PHP" > Layout 'None' > 'Create' - no buttons 'Split' or 'Design' (grey)

  In 'preferences' under 'File Types/errors', there is a section "open in code view".

  I removed the. The extension PHP from here, tried again and it worked!

• Problem with brush + fill (gap) in 7 & cs4 (photo attached)

  So sometimes starting yesterday every time I draw with the brush (STROKE a path), then fill with the paint COP there is always a gap between the filling and the brush. What happens in 7 and cs4. See attached image I tried Googling this problem, but (brush, gap, fill) search terms are too generic.  I reset all the settings of photoshop and brushes in 7 and cs4.  I'm lost, any help is appreciated.

  in this screenshot you can see the gap between the brush and the filling, but there is no difference with a marquee of filling.

  

  The problem is caused by the semi-transparent pixels created by either antialiasing inherent in almost all brushes or the fringes caused by hardness slider. If you are painting on a layer without transparent pixels square you get this problem if the paint bucket tolerance is pretty high.

  I have a problem with my HDD to fill without no reason.  I should have about 340 GB free and it reads now only 18 GB free.  Can I have found the culprit (Revo Uninstaller Pro) because he stop to fill in after I removed it.  I can't find where all the "whatever" went.  I don't see anything funny in the registry and cannot find the strange files on the C drive under computer.  I wouldn't mess with the registry too but I as I am limited in my understanding of what's there.  I scanned the hard drive with my Avast Anti Virus and the Microsoft Emergency scan engine and found nothing.  If someone could give me an idea of what happened and how to get my rear disc space, I would be grateful.

  Double click on the Brush tool in the tools palette and switch: fill a new brush strokes.

  Dreamweaver CS3 is a very old program. 8 full behind versions. It is likely that the DW FTP is obsolete and does not support connections to the host.
