  I'm trying to control a power supply DC via GPIB. The power supply being used is the QL355TP of society Thurlby Thandar Instruments (TTi).   p.s. Try to replace the decimal comma to period. It is possible that the driver does not correctly handle the comma.

  So I bought a Dell XPS 8300 on sale Black Friday mainly because of the processor, RAM and HARD drive.  I need a new computer and wanted it to be fast but also wanted a desktop computer, because I intend to upgrade to a better quality of game.  I plan on upgrading the graphics card to a Geforce GTX 560 Ti FPB.  I understand that this will require a more powerful power supply and seeks to those at the moment, probably a 760W supply.  My concerns are mainly regarding the power supply box installation.

  Currently my XPS 8300 has a 7P3WV 460W power supply.  Part # H460AD-00.  Someone has dimensions on this so I can get a power supply that will compete?

  Or if no dimensions does anyone know of a compatible PSU?
  

  Finally, I intend to switch on the case and motherboard and all simply transfer on the parties but that is further down the road.

  Generic standard ATX power supply can be installed, with a power of 20 + 4 pin main motherboard, or 24 pins as the XPS 8300 has a rear panel open, with or without the on/off switch.

  You should be able to buy a compatible power supply either a local computer or online store.

  Note: A power supply with four SATA power connectors, is necessary.

  I understand that if you remove your battery, you can't boot up your laptop.  This is not unusual. some laptops are set up in this way.

  I understand that when you have the phone connected and charge the batteries of your performance is lowered.  There is more than one draw powere when it loads to the battery.

  Here is a link to the laptops HP - test and calibrate the battery (Windows 7) to ensure that there is no problem with the battery.

  Could also remove the battery once you put under tension.

  You asked questions on the use of a 90-Watt adapter.  Here is a link to HP G4 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service of Guide.  Chapter 3 page 32 lists not one that is recommended.

  I believe that the PSU is designed for a different style of the case. Discover the Corsair CX500, or CX600 power supplies. They are highly recommended and are favorite forum. In addition, they are only slightly larger than the stock power supply HP and are known to adapt.

  I have a HP EliteH8-1090 t who is about a year, but with an AMD Radeon HD 6570 low power graphics card and a 450W power supply. I want to upgrade the 650W power to support the installation of a replacement graphics card.

  I tried to replace the HP 450W with Corsair TX650 and Corsair TX850 food. The system appears to power (DVD drawer opens and closes, the hard disks spin, fans run) with either a Corsair, he's stuck at this point.   6200 is a GPU very low power.  It will work fine with the stock power SUPPLY HP block.
