Problem working with tiff from Lightroom CC upgrade files

Since upgrading to LR CC when I make changes using another editor/plugin called since lightroom .tiff files when the file is saved in LR content is not updated for when the item is exported in the plugin or PS CC. When LR is stopped and restarted the previous content changes become visible. It is very frustrating having to close and restart LR everytime I want to create an image of BW in PS since a .tiff or use DxO filmpack plugin. Note that this was not a problem in LR 5.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling various plugins and LR in a combinations. This does not solve the problem.

I'm running Win 10, 64-bit LRCC 6.1.1 PSCC and all versions are the latest releases

It's a problem for almost 3 months now. are there plans to fix this soon?

After that a long lock of study and research I found the real solution to this problem. In the catalog settings, there is an option to automatically write changes into xmp files. If this box is that the changes are not captured by LR until the reboot. I noticed there was an occasional message on execution do not write the xmp file and it would complement the next time that LR has been restarted.

Uncheck this option allows to change it be picked up immediately. Hope this helps someone else with similar problems.

Under settings for the catalog in the file handling tab, you will see this option. If it is enabled, try unchecking it and see if it helps your changes to be picked up when applications closed third until LR.

  • Anyone who works with the CAF (Caltech intermediate Format) files in LabVIEW?

    Hey everybody,

    Anyone who works with the CAF (Caltech intermediate Format) files? These are files that are generated by IC layout programs, such as TannerEDA L-Edit, that define the layers and arrangement of the masks used in VLSI (Photolithography) of processing semiconductor device.

    I would like to analyse these CIF files to generate a map of wafer of devices for use in the-plate test. Currently, a plan of shooting is made and then I manually switch and define coordinates of line and column for the edge of a plate and various places of drop-in. I would like to automate this process, and I don't know if it is possible by playback of these files from the CAF. However, I don't really know how to read them, and I can get as much information from the Wikipedia page and the original article.

    So I ask: anyone has an easier set of screws that make reading CIF file? Or someone working with them can help me with my problem? I can describe it in much better detail once someone comes...

    Here is one of my notebooks CIF of Mathematica (remove the .txt extension obviously).  I used it to create a new CIF file with four instances of the object in a file.

    You can load a file with the following text:

    symName = loadCIF;

    You can see the layers:

    CIFlayers [symName]

    You can view layers:

    Show [{viewCIFlayer [symName, #, color of layer]}]

    (if you wish, add multiple layers to the list)

    If you have a file of type CIF I can also test to see that it recognizes the objects you use, I am generally to polygons and boxes.

  • Problem working with video

    I have problem in working with opening and video editing

    When I tried to open:

    Could not complete your request because it is not just some sort of paper [for all video formats]

    When I import video:

    It creates as many layers there are frames in the video

    Help, please

    Thank you

    The video is as formats of Image, but on steroids. Also, many formats, such as AVI may have 100 different codec inside of them. It's almost like having a JPEG, that contains a TGA or a TIFF image, or a PCX, a number any of what we see in other formats. It can be intimidating, but let's start at the beginning.

    For a discussion on formats such as AVI, MOV, WMV, etc., see this article: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037?tstart=0

    CODEC is the "bricks" of AV files, this article is good too: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/546811?tstart=0

    As you see from the first link, the format is just a 'wrapper' and can contain all kinds of "stuff". This FAQ entry will tell you how to "look" inside the wrapper. That's what we need, like Mylenium the request. If you can let us know all files failed, maybe someone can help you.

    Also, the PS has limited a little video support, decode and encode, so, and depending on what you have, you may need to convert files that/those.

    Good luck

  • Work with Lr from a NAS

    I have a NAS (Network Attached Storage) that I use to store all my photos for the backup. However, I was wondering if I could have Lr directly until the NAS rather than keep the files on my original hard drive (running out of space quickly). My NAS has mirrored of drives so if one goes down, I always have a back-up.

    I don't know if Lr will have problems with the network connection via the SATA connection on my hard drive.

    Thoughts, experience, help?

    Yes, you can work with photos on one of the RAID drives and have the other RAID disk-based backups.

    You must point Lightroom to use the RAID drive instead of the internal drive. Please follow the instructions in this document (scroll down to the section called "Part 2 ‑‑ update folder Location"). Future imports should go directly to the RAID drive instead of your internal disk.

  • Pinning and align problem - working with alternative configurations fixed and fluid

    Hello

    As suggested by the staff of Adobe, I'm working with a layout of fixed width for the desktop version, so I can use the scrolling effects in this version and a layout alternative tablet with a fluid design for mobile devices.

    In this way, I will have two major problems with the working fluid design version:

    -I can't pin objects to fixed locations in the browser. The option is disabled, and I can't create a set menu, for example.

    -I can't focus the presentation of the fluid design version, there's always left align. In fact, breakpoint rule changes and stays aligned left also. It is a problem, because when I opened my site in a device with a larger resolution, it remains to the left of the browser.

    There is a solution for these problems?

    Hey well thanks for the help, Bernard.

    I tried to work with a fluid layout compressed as an alternative to avoid creating a Tablet and the mobile version of the site. Instead, I would have only the office page and the layout fluid compressed, that would suit regardless of the user's device.

    As for now, I will continue to work with the development of Adaptive with variants of the tree when scroll effects are necessary and work with a sensitive provision in other cases, with more correct is.

  • Work with items from ExtendScript

    Hello!

    I have a few questions about working with elements form ExtendScript via API FM.

    (1) how to assign a value to text in an element?

    (2) can I insert a new element to an existing element? If it is possible then what objects or functions should be used for this? They write in a reference that the object of the element has the Delete() method, but I did not find the method Insert() or anything resembling it.

    Thank you!

    Michael,

    These samples do not contain specific examples for what you want to do. To complete, here's a function that inserts a new element and adds text. The arguments are:

    doc (object) - a document object is valid.

    parentElem (object) - the element where you want to insert the new item. The new item is inserted at the beginning.

    newElemTag (String) is the tag for the new item.

    newElemText (String) = the text for the new item.

    Note that:

    -This function has no control of errors, which would be a good idea for a more robust script.

    -When adding items and inserting text, you deal with text and item locations. These can be complex for a beginner to understand.

    Russ

    function insertElementAndAddText(doc, parentElem, newElemTag, newElemText)
    {
        //Get the element definition from the EDD for a

    element. var elementDef = doc.GetNamedElementDef(newElemTag); //Set up the element location for the insertion... //the beginning of the current element branch. var elementLoc = new ElementLoc(); elementLoc.parent = parentElem; elementLoc.child = parentElem.FirstChildElement; elementLoc.offset = 0; //Insert the new element var newElem = elementDef.NewElementInHierarchy(elementLoc); //Adjust the element location to be at the beginning of the //new element branch elementLoc.parent = newElem; elementLoc.child = newElem.FirstChildElement; elementLoc.offset = 0; //Set up the text location required to add the text, then add it. textLoc = doc.ElementLocToTextLoc(elementLoc); doc.AddText(textLoc, newElemText); }

  • Previous versions of CS work with my CS5 Design Premium Upgrade?

    Hi all

    I bought a CS5 Design Premium update. Since I don't own a previous version of CS, I know that working with my upgrade. Is it possible to obtain this information via the part number?

    Thank you

    Rudie

    If you don't have any previous version of creative suite ideally you are not eligible for the purchase of a CS5 upgrade.

    Thus, according to the process, you will need to return the product upgrade and buy a version full, but it's not applicable in your case since CS5 is a product that is no longer available for purchase.

    Instead, you must purchase a full version of CS6 specific to the operating system you have.

    You can also view our latest creative cloud offerring. http://www.Adobe.com/in/products/creativecloud.html

  • Problem of extracting data from the XLIFF XML file

    Hi again,

    When I try to extract the data as XML < trans-unit >, I get an 1120: access of undefined property unit.

    function completeHandler(event:LoaderEvent):void {
        var stuff:XMLLoader = LoaderMax.getLoader(arrayXMLFiles[0]);
       var moreStuff:XML = LoaderMax.getContent(arrayXMLFiles[0]);
       ssDebug.trace(moreStuff); // this works with output shown below
       ssDebug.trace(moreStuff.xliff.file.body.trans-unit); // - error here
    }

    The Trace is here:

    I found a code by looking at a similar problem - I do not know how to retrieve other data (as I guess) the rest of the HTML in the code. I need to find a better reference with details and examples.

    I fixed it by changing:

    ssDebug.trace(moreStuff.xliff.file.body.trans-unit); -error

    TO:

    ssDebug.trace (moreStuff.file.body ['trans-unit']); -no error

    with results expected (no error):

    If, while you are printing, your printer stops...

    get to the control panel (OCP) operator for the error description.

    If the fault is a card jam, open and close the Print cover (or cover the Options).

    The printer will initialize and move the card stuck in the compartment to reject.

  • Why don't Adobe make it clear that the Dehaze tool does not work with stand alone Lightroom 6?

    I upgraded to LR 6 because of the Dehaze feature only to find out after that I bought that is not available without subscription of the CC. Very disappointed. Why isn't this clearly from the beginning. ???

    It was clarified at the beginning, to the official announcement of Lightroom 6.1/Lightroom CC 2015.1 https://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2015/06/june-updates-to-cc-photography.html

    It lists the features currently available in Lightroom CC (which isn't Lightroom 6), and there is an asterisk next to Dehaze, the asterisk is said "Please note that these features are not available in the stand-alone version of Lightroom 6.1."

    Is that clear enough?

  • Work with Git from JDeveloper

    Hello

    We have a Cloud Service of developer who came in as well as our trial version of Java Cloud - Extension of SaaS Service.

    I create a new application in JDeveloper and want to use the Git repository offered by Cloud Service developer under version control.

    In JDeveloper, first of all, I tried Versioning > > Git > > Clone.

    But I am not able to connect to the Git repository with the error that 'there is no remote branches.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    John Walker J

    You get this error message because the new remote Git repository is empty and must be initialized with the content. The best way to solve this problem is to create a local Git repository and git add git commit something simple like a README.txt in your local repository and do a git push as the master branch. After that you should be setup and your teammates can clone the repository hosted Git locally to their environments as well.

    Thank you

  • Work with AVCHD from CANON XA20 files in first pro cc2015

    I work in a project with AVCHD files form a canon as xa20 imported through 2 different methods:

    (1) import through the barrel of the data import utility

    (2) copy the AVCHD structure files in my HARD drive

    Both methods provide the same wrong result.

    The parameters of the automatic sequence of adobe first pro CC2015 not recognize as progressive images.

    The results in the preview screen as well if I export the file is there is some obliquous apperars lines with the lines of the jigsaw and some artifacts as if the film has been interlaced, also if I manually adjust the settings of sequence as progressive.

    any suggestions?

    If I'm not mistaken the camera film progressive 25 p, but puts in the middle on the card 50i (pal) interlaced

    You must interpret the progressive film first.

    Select everything in the project window, right click, edit...

    Then proceed to the sequence.

  • In CS6 Clone Stamp tool will not work with Tiff files

    All of a sudden the Clone Stamp tool does not work when you work on a tif file. Yes, I get the circle with + sign when I press the ALT key, but tool not clones.

    Hi Trevor!

    I discovered that it affects all file extensions.  Files were created after adjustments in Bridge. Layer is not locked. The opacity is 46. Now that I have reviewed your response, I was watching a FAQ on the same thing. Honestly, I didn't know you can reset tools.

    I found out how to reset the CSTool and voila! Now, works great.

    Thanks for the tips...
