  Hi, I could use help to determine the cause and the solution to a problem I have. I want to associate this with my Toshiba Tecra M4-S435 keyboard. The laptop has an internal module installed, "Cambridge Silicon Radio, LMP (V: S) 02:0490." I installed the last 5.10.01 (T) BT stack. I have several other paired devices, but this one is the original questions.

  The unit is in the discovery as a keyboard VKB (it supports HID and SPP); I want to use the HID profile. In the authentication dialog, the VKB beeps, who is his warning that a PIN can be typed into the unit, but to hit the enter key, a dialog box informs me that "Detection of Service Failed". I've seen similar problems posted on the manufacturer's website, but I have not seen any resolution.

  I m not an expert from BT, but if you have several other devices with your laptop coupled, then everything is ok with your Tecra M4 BT stack and the machine.
  It seems that there is a compatibility problem with your external virtual Bluetooth keyboard.

  Either the Toshiba BT stack does not support this VBK and service or the firmware of this device allows a few worries
  However, in case I would recommend contacting manufacturing virtual Bluetooth keyboard for more details.
  Guys should more known on own products as simple Toshiba here users in the forum.

• RAW drive problem caused by incompatibility of LUN ID

  Dear all,

  I have a 9 ESX4 host environment is not created at the same time. on the first time, we created 5 ESX hosts and then 2 then 2

  I have virtual machines that have RAW disks. If this machine is on 1 five hosts I vMotion is on one of the other 4 of these hosts.

  After investigating it, I found that the same LUN have different ID LUN. let say I LUN 5, this unit logic on the 5 number 1 hosts a LUN iD = 5, 6 and 7 = 7, host, 8 host LUN iD and LUN iD = 6 9A.

  I also noticed that this same LUN on the five 1 hosts does not appear if I rescan for new data store while I see on the other 4 hosts and I can added too.

  is it possible that I can rearrange the ID LUN LUN take the same LUN ID on all ESX hosts.

  This has happened in our environment several months ago, when we added new guest VM servers.

  The fix was faily easy but a little of your time.

  We determined which host had incorrect identifiers (new).  We then migrated virtual machines off and not assigned all the storage (RAW and data stores) of this host server.

  Then, we added every record store and data to the sever host using the same order on the affected host.

  We had a few shortcomings due to deletions of disk on servers not affected host like no SCSI_ID 15.  The new VM host wanted to use this ID when the record was posted to back the host.  So we created a temporary drive that has been subsequently deleted as a placeholder.

  Once all the record shops and the data have been assigned with the correct ID our migration issues have been resolved.

  There is probably an easier way to solve the problem of the San, but it was late and we could not get approval for a failure.

  I have a given LUN to a physical Windows 2003 R2 server.  I want to do this in a virtual server.  Can I take this LUN, and presenting it as a RDM on my new virtual server without any problem?

  Works without problems, I did it a couple of times.

  Make sure that the logic unit number is presented to one of the servers!

• Problems of establishing a virtual machine using Microsoft SCCM

  I'm trying to deploy a virtual machine with Microsoft SCCM. It works very well - but only if I create the vm on the local disk on the esx server. After a success of creation, I can then migrate the diskfile of a SAN LUN.

  If I try to do the same thing directly in a virtual machine with the diskfiles not on local drives but on the SAN, then the Setup program will fail in most cases. It is not always the same point in the installation program - it can be anywhere in the process of staging by sccm. Seems to be a period of waiting or something and obviously seems to be a problem with the SAN storage...

  ... then... I'm the expert on LAN, or SCCM expert--while hoping, someone else knows this problem and there are probably certain parameters to change to avoid a timeout or something.

  Storage system is HP EVA 4400. ESX is vSphere 4.0.0 208167.

  Inside of Windows, you must change the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Disk\TimeOutValue value to 60 seconds or more.

  You change os or change at DAQmx. Traditional DAQ has been made obsolete when DAQmx was introduced with LabVIEW 7. If your card is one of the old cards that didn't is not supported by DAQmx, then Yes, you would also have to replace one if you stayed with windows 7.

  I am facing problem in Live Migration of Virtual Machine in Windows 2012 of Hyper-V R2 cluster. Here are the details for my current setup.

  Two windows 2012 R2 Datacenter even care Server (HV01 and HV02) both in cluster

  A Virtual Machine created the Volume share of Cluster (c:\Cluster storage\...)

  A network adapter dedicated to the management of server-> 10.0.1.11 (HV01) and 10.0.1.13 (HV02)

  A network card dedicated to Hyper v Virtual Machines-> 10.0.1.12 (HV01) and 10.0.1.14 (HV02) and allow networking option is disabled.

  A network card for the heart beats-> 10.0.20.1 (HV01) and 10.0.20.2 (HV02)

  A network card dedicated for Live Migration-> 10.10.10.50 (HV01) and 10.10.10.51 (HV02) and chosen to be used only for the live migration fails on cluster network settings

  I added the Virtual Machine Cluster Failover successfully without error or warning. When I do a quick migration his works fine but when I do live migration his error giving 21502.

  Please update what's wrong with my setup

  Yes, it is safe to enable VT - x in BIOS and you will have to in order to run 64-bit comments operating systems. (Processor required for host systems)

  Also once activated VT - x you have to completely turn off the host, reboot not only.

  After that other things to consider is to detach the following in the .vmx config file (if only temporarily) and if need be, for the test to disable 3D acceleration too.

  svga.maxWidth = "1280".

  svga.maxHeight = "1024".

  svga.vramSize = "5242880".

  BTW I don't necessarily update the BIOS unless the manufacture recommends that or it is a case when a newer BIOS allows for VT - x to be activated as does not have an earlier version.  If you've never updated a BIOS before, then I would say that you do not yourself unless you absolutely know what you are doing!

  BTW this is not a question of VMware itself as Windows product activation is a Microsoft problem whatever we're running Windows on a physical or a virtual machine.  Except run the Boot Camp partition as a Virtual Machine where the VMware Tools manages the database WPA to allow a start both in native and virtual mode, it would be the extent of the share of VMware in the present itself and the rest to you as a user to deal with Microsoft with.

• Problems after resizing XP virtual machine: a Windows image not valid

  After increasing my Windows XP virtual machine, I can't run Microsoft programs.

  My system

  I am running XP as a virtual disk with Fusion 4.1.3 on a MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard) with a drive of 500 GB and 4 GB of RAM.  My virtual machine from Windows XP (formatted FAT) has only 700 MB of free space, so I tried to increase its size from 32 GB to 48 GB.

  What I've done

  1. I increased the size of the HD in merger/disc settings

  2. the virtual machine does not resize automatically.  Messages to OS X Console says repeatedly that the virtual machine was no resizing applications ("' NUMA: auto size request ignored '")

  3. I then used EaseUS Partition Master in Windows XP to increase the use of the newly released hard drive space, but the extra space would never appear after reboot XP

  4. I then tried Partition Wizard, that worked.  So that resizing Partition Wizard was also moving files.

  The problem:

  When I restarted Windows, I got several error messages saying that the dll is not a valid windows image.  I couldn't run all Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, etc.) but can run non-Microsoft programs after clicking through many error reports.

  Fortunately, I made a copy of the virtual machine before attempting to resize, so I use it now.  But I lost 12 GB on my Mac hard drive and cannot get enough space in Windows

  Any thoughts out there so that I could get enough space?

  It is good that you made a backup, because even in the best conditions can things and sometimes lack.

  Since you had questions, go right to work, in other words, the first step to actually make the larger virtual hard drive, I have consider doing the following.

  1. ensure that you have a backup full host.  Time Machine is great for Mac OS X but not for Virtual Machines.  For the Virtual Machines, you must make a copy while closed stop, unsprung, and VMware Fusion.  Once you are sure that have everything backed up properly...

  2. use utility disk to verify disk permissions, disk check and optionally repair either or both based on audit reports.

  3. use vmware-vdiskmanager with the -r option to check the integrity of the virtual hard disk.

  4. from the guest operating system in a Windows prompt command use chkdsk /f to check and fix a problem with the Windows file system.

  5. try to resize the virtual hard disk again.

• problems of network on virtual servers

  I have vCenter 4.1 and 4 hosts (ESX and ESXi 4.1) with several virtual servers on each host + CF as data store

  On each host are switch standard with several networks of vm - all hosts are clustered HA.

  On each switch are two nic mode of teamwork.

  When I tried to migrate virtual server connectivity (using vMotion) network of virtual servers is one host to another I lost - I unplug the network adapter in the virtual machine settings and connect the back - then all is well again.

  I tried to change vm network different network, then again - also helps.

  I tried this time migration batch and this problem are in most cases.

  In vCenter Evens are no cases on this issue.

  I do not understand where to look for problem - suggestions?

  There is no newspaper vSwitch, se.  As the vSwitch don't not participate in protocols spanning tree, spanning tree options in general do not import with ESX hosts.  Get your network to hell team all together is generally not welcomed.

  PortFast, however, must be activated as posted above.  You will need to make sure portfast is enabled on your access level switch.  If they are in the system blade, then you must ensure portfast is enabled at this level.

  After a migration, without portfast, the migrated nic should finally come, and you should be able to see the mac in case address.  Are you able to see it?

• VI 2.5 ESX 3.5, 1.5, Netbackup 6.5.1 - problem saving machines VCB virtual isolate a DMZ

  My VMware infrastructure looks like this...

  Virtual Center 2.5 works very well :)

  10 great works of ESX 3.5 servers :)

  VCB 1.5 works very well :)

  Veritas Netbackup 6.5.1 - I've specified the Virtual Center Server and VCB proxy server which is the same as the Netbackup server. Everything works beautifully... I can see all virtual machines when a backup strategy in cash and can I save all the VMs.

  Problem... I've added another ESX Server and created a new port of the virtual machine that is attached to a physical NETWORK adapter that is isolate/DMZ from the network.  I created a few VMs and placed on this isolated port virtual machine I need to back up regularly.

  My problem, I start creating a backup in Netbackup policy, I don't see the isolated virtual machines.  Everything I read on Netbackup, points using FULL domain name to back up virtual machines that are going to be.  Well these VMs are isolate and cannot be network connectivity ping/network where the center, Netbackup, proxy server Virtual server/VCB resident.  I've added these virtual machines to host (IP address and domain FULL name) file in the VCB proxy server and Virtual Center Server.  When I tried to create the backup strategy, I could see the virtual machines, but I get a policy has failed "political validation validation of the advanced client configuration controls has not." Advanced client backups can be made up to this as configured correctly."  Know me that Netbackup is trying to ensure that virtual machines are in the network and available and if Netbackup cannot see the virtual machines on the network it will give this error.

  My questions... Should NetBackup see the virtual machines by using the FULL domain name to perform backups?  NetBackup can perform backups of virtual machines that are isolated from the network? If it is possible, how?  How you guys are backups to isolated/DMZ VMs?

  Off... first get on NBU 6.5.3 I am surprised you have consistent backups with 6.5.1...

  You will need to create a bpstart_notify_script and bpend_notify_script to take care of these virtual machines using moref.   Steps to change the settings of page for windows VM file

  1. opening of session windows VM

  2. right click on my computer and go to properties

  3. go to advanced system settings

  4. click on settings under performance

  5. Select the Advanced tab and click change which is part of the virtual memory

  6. Select the reader to the location of the virtual memory (file) and select custom size and update the size of the size of the virtual memory (swap file).

  Note: Before changing the page file parameters please check course prerequisites or recommendations made by the operating system
