iOS9 on a mobile device requires iTunes 12.3 or higher, which in turn requires a computer running OSX 10.8.5 or higher.  Update of the system only checks the updates for the current version of the system you run, but that itself can be updated.  It may or may not be possible to upgrade your computer to the system requirements. Find your computer on the web site of http://www.everymac.com model and near the bottom of the specification of the system section, he will tell what versions of the operating system, it is able to run. If you can not run a newer system, you will not be able to sync this phone to your current computer. If she can run 10.8.5 or higher, you can either buy a download for Apple OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion code online, or you can try to install the free El Capitan OSX 10.11.  El Capitan can run slower on older machines and require the additional purchase of RAM.  Making a big jump in versions of system is also more likely to affect the old software.

  • Impossible to import into itunes

Used for 5 + years and never had a problem itunes import any CD until the last update of Windows 10.

Have 3 CD purchased recently (even if not new versions) and all I get is imported CDA files, cannot convert MP3, wav, anything. Have searched the net and followed all the advice without success. Understand the file CDA format and what it is and means, but am at a loss to know what to do next without purchasing dedicated files converter software.

Seems too much of a coincidence for me that after all these years / itunes update etc and more than 600 CD converted without problem, why now...? Windows 10 12 months upgrading?

    Anyone else?

    Hi leadwelllaw,

I understand that you have a few problems getting the right format for your imported songs from a CD into iTunes. I know it's important to have songs that are easy to read on your devices, so I am pleased to provide you with information to help with this.

To start, you may want to change your import settings provide a correct format from the beginning:

12 iTunes for Windows: choose Import settings

You can also check some troubleshooting we have to import CD here:

12 iTunes for Windows: import songs from CD

If you have trouble importing songs to an audio CD

If iTunes does not recognize audio CD or if you have problems to import songs, check the following:

    • If iTunes does not recognize audio CD (it does not appear in the iTunes window) or in a window does not appear when you insert a CD, quit iTunes, then open again by double-clicking the application icon in the iTunes folder in the Program Files folder on your hard drive. Do not open iTunes by using the shortcut on your desktop. If iTunes now recognizes the CD, delete the shortcut to iTunes and create a new.

    • If error correction is enabled, it may take more time to import the CD. Choose Edit > Preferences, and then click Import settings. If the checkbox "Use error correction when reading Audio CDs" is not selected, select it. If it is already selected, clear it.

    • If you have trouble importing songs, make sure that you search your computer or drive manufacturer for firmware updates site and install those that are suitable for your computer and your CD-ROM or DVD drive.

    • Make sure you have the latest software updates for Windows or your CD-ROM or DVD drive. Visit the Web site of Windows and your computer or drive manufacturer for Updates site. Also, make sure that you have the latest drivers for your sound cards and video.

    • If you have more than one CD or DVD drive, try using iTunes with each drive.

    • To see if iTunes can find problems with your CD, choose Help > run the diagnostic CD and choose Diagnostics of DVDs/CDs. To help understand the results of diagnosis and another CD troubleshooting information, see additional tips for troubleshooting questions burning on the Apple's Support website.

    • If it takes a long time to import a song (more than 10 minutes) from an audio CD, the CD may be dirty or scratched. Try to clean the CD with a soft, lint cloth and then re-import the songs.

If you still hurt to import songs, visit the Support Web to iTunes site.

As a last resort, you can also convert audio files directly into iTunes:

Convert a song to a different file with iTunes - Apple Support format

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support, cheers!

  • iTunes, the app does not.

I hope that one of you gurus Apple may shed some light on a problem that persists. I run my iTunes and photos through a time capsule. I can access my photos without problem. iTunes, however, is still somewhat tedious.

Every time I run iTunes it freezes and I get the application does not. I thought maybe it was my time capsule? So, I transferred to another hard drive, boom, it worked the first time, after about half an hour, it froze again. Now, I'm having the same problem once more, application does not.

Recently, I moved house and I only met this since I moved, I currently have no internet, but this cannot be a problem that I physically plugged the time capsule and the hard drive into my Mac. I read that sign out of the iTunes store could remedy this. I did, by a friends, internet and it worked briefly, then boom, the unfortunate problem raised his hideous face once more.

I am at a loss and all the efforts proved futile, someone else has an idea of what could be my problem.

    Concerning

    Dudley

It is probably related in some way to currently do not have an Internet connection.  The problem is not related to your local storage, but iTunes is trying to do something on the Internet.  If possible now, open iTunes with an Internet connection, connect if it is not signed, then log out while still connected.  Quit iTunes.  After that, back to not having an Internet connection and open iTunes.

  • iTunes does not move files to the Recycle Bin

Today I noticed that when I delete a song in iTunes and select the option "Move to trash", the file does not move in my trash and rest in the iTunes media folder. When I right click on a song in iTunes and select "Show in finder" and delete the song here I am prompted for my password for finder make changes... I suspect that this could be the problem. iTunes cannot go beyond the 'enter password to make changes in the finder' automatically? Help, please! It's pretty frustrating

  • MacBook Pro/iTunes: engineering no longer works

I have iTunes 12.3.3 (latest version) and from one day to the other, I can't use genius on my MacBook Pro more. When I right click on a song for the genius option does not work. A message says I have to update genius. I did several times and still have the same problem. iTunes says that the genius is updated, but nothing changes. Still I can't use more on genius that my MacBook PoThis arrives with all the songs in my database (whre I have around 25,000 songs). It's strange because the genius was functioning normally before.

    Any suggestions what to do?

Have you tried to turn off and on again genius?

  • ITunes skipping after upgrade to clean boot of Windows 7 64 bit HP Pavilion m9500y

I recently updated my m9500y to vista 64-bit home premium to windows 7 Professional via an upgrade to boot. Since the update iTunes ignores intermittently. Can I close iTunes and reopen it and it will play OK no problem jumping. Sometimes it takes to open and close the program several times before that it will play correctly no problem jumping.

I won't have the same problem with Windows Media Player as I've seen in other posts on this and other forums for the problem of Itunes jump.

I completely uninstalled iTunes such as recommended by HP before you perform the upgrade to windows 7 and I have all the HP windows 7 and the Microsoft updates, including the drivers and firmware.

I even tried to uninstall completely the 9.2.1 64-bit version of itunes, including registry keys and installed the previous version of Vista 64 bit which worked perfectly before the upgrade. However, I still had the same problem.

Just in case my driver realtek HD audio version 6.0.1.5910. I do music professionally and HP Smart Media and Windows Media Player simply do not cut it. I have my iTunes works properly all the time.

This is the only problem that I have. Everything else works perfectly.

I did the same windows 7 Professional upgrade exactly the same way on my Inspiron 1545 Dell 64 bit machine and I do not have the itunes problem to jump on this machine. I hope someone has a solution.

I think, with all posts on this problem on this and other boards of the HP HP machines he owes to its clients to have their engineers and programmers reach a solution. I spent at least 50 hours on the problem.

Thanks for the suggestions, however, neither worked. However, all is not lost. I finally found the solution and cause, and the problem is solved. It turns out that some third-party modules were cause of conflict with itunes. I found this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2292?viewlocale=en_US to Apple support.

I give detailed instructions on the way which we MSCONFIG to solve conflicts in Windows Vista and 7, which could be the cause of problems with iTunes. After change startup programs and services, then by adding them one at a time after restarting whenever I finally was able to hide the indentify the third specific add on that was originally my itunes jump like a needle to jump on a vinyl record when the weight of the pick-up arm is set to lowest.

In my case, it's a tool bar add-on in my Explorer window.

I also checked the other this fix from Apple and would suggest that anyone having a problem with itunes to jump or other problems itunes with Windows 7 to do both. One of the link above and this one: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1362

So, the bottom line is the problem of: Itunes to jump after Windows 7 64 bit clean upgrade HP Pavilion m9500y, boot IS NOW RESOLVED.

I tried to connect my iTunes, he asked to update security code, after renewal I received a message from my bank that $ 1 was cancelled, while there is nothing in the history of my recent purchase.

It is temporary 'fresh' to check that the card details you have entered are correct and that the card is valid and active - your card issuer should remove "fee" in a few days or more.
