Problems of another "I dropped my phone" thread-view blackBerry Smartphones

Hello

I dropped my Curve 8520 earlier today and now the screen is full of white spots and lines (but not full White Screen of Death). The phone still works perfectly apart from this, but I really don't see what I do like about half of the screen is white. I know for some it is a consequence of let me down, but I have a few questions:

(1.) what exactly has been damaged? The external screen is not cracked, so am I right in thinking that I need to replace the LCD? Only the display is faulty

(2.) there aren't any outward signs of it being dropped. Is there a chance that it is covered by the warranty of BB, or they will be able to tell that I dropped it if they open?

Advice and recommendations are welcome! Thanking you in advance

2. If there is no sign of physical damage, they will replace may be under warranty. It is something that cannot be determined by taking it.

  • Texts & journal of phone calls of blackBerry Smartphones are missing.

When I make a call or send a text message as it appears on the appropriate paper, but at the time where as the backlight goes out on the screen, they are gone.  Not where to find them.  No text at all.  No information contained in the call doesn't connect at all.  I don't know if it's the phone or if it is my service.  Never had a problem with the service before I switch to this phone then I think it's the phone.  Out of options and any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

It looks like in your very low on memory of the device. Check your memory available via options, State. Write down this number. Now remove the battery to reboot your BB leaving about 30 to 45 seconds. When it's done restart check your available memory once more. You should gain a little space. Also in the sticky section on how to optimize the memory of your device. A lot of good things on this forum for help with exactly this situation.

  • Phone numbers of blackBerry Smartphones

None of my two 9630's can dial a phone number containing zero without putting a contact containing that number beforehand.

    Why?

    Problem solved.

I handed my 9630 to a customer who was curious to know what the Tower looked like.

He began punching buttons and voila, he was able to type zeros in the phone application.

    Never happened before.

I have not idea what he did to make it work.

  • Photos from phone to pc blackBerry Smartphones?

Yes, I am a Blackberry newbie, so I apologize if my question seems stupid.

My family just took an unforgettable experience at Disney, and I used my BB Bold 9700 to take some fantastic photos. My question is: is it possible to transfer the photos to my PC somehow? If so, can you please share the secret with me? I can't understand.

    Thank you very much!

    With windows XP and higher

Adapter cable data conenct this CDE phone cam phone and your PC.

Turn on the device mass storage mode

Locate the drive where your device is

Drag and drop the MFI of the pictures of the phone folder.

  • Problem of 9000 "BOLD" after upgrading to 5.0 blackBerry Smartphones

After that last night at the 5.0 OS upgrade (5.0.0.82 2, Bundle 1385, platform 5.2.0.76) I have a question that I can't solve. When you select notification sounds for the different e-mail, messages BBM and SMS sound for the phone, including the ringing of the phone, goes into a mute mode despite not to select mute. I can't sounds until I have restart the phone. Any suggestions?

He is clearly a very common problem that BB knows but doesn't have the time to fix it. The store in rep AT & T told me to just live with it. Can't wait to see how BB handles a Tablet (I don't think they can). Solutions to your problem is to downgrade to the older operating system, at least that's what I read on this forum. Good luck. Phones Windows 7 will be released in a few weeks, and then we can really improve.

  • Using phone while charging blackBerry smartphones

    Hello

I am a new owner and I was wondering if there was any damage by telephone while he charges...and/or, even after the end of load, can I continue to use it for a while while it is still plugged in? My first thought was that I would not be draining the battery in this way, I was wondering if it could overheat ultimately if I would damage the battery, or if that would be shorten its life?

    Thank you.

    ODB says:

Thanks a lot... do you have any ideas on what is called "mobile charging sticks & tubes" which seem to be advertised everywhere lately?... of batteries which external connection using a mini-usb? Thank you once again.

Yes, I'm really a big fan of these "external" batteries

    • If you get a new phone, you can continue to use the external battery, as they are generic.  Battery boxes have or dedicated batteries mean that often, you throw the case or the battery when you get a new phone.
    • External batteries can also load your tablet, in addition to your phone.
    • Pay attention to the side of mah external battery.  Smaller batteries have a much lower compared to the longer duration batteries mah rating.  The Torch 9810 is a 1300mah battery.  If a 2000mah battery will give you 150% more life.  A 6000mah battery allows you to reload the 9810 four times from zero to 100% before the battery needs to be recharged.
    • research your Tablet battery mah.  An iPad has a battery of 000mah 11.  If you have a Tablet, I recommend a battery with 6000mah or LARGER.

load once and it's good to recharge the times 12 torch from zero to 100%.  If charge you it once a month?
    • some external batteries come equipped with an amplified speaker to enjoy your music or videos.

    • only downside is that it's a bit tacky to use the phone with the attached battery
    • http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=pBxvPqi5HWY

A concern about these batteries is the USB connectors.  A few product reviews found USB ports fragile, especially when the battery is thrown into a backpack with the USB cord.  Constraint is applied on the USB port so that in the backpack... damage to the port.

  • My phone (Pearl 8130) blackBerry smartphones sounds when my phone is electronic control

US Cellular is my carrier and what I discovered that the more cell phone companies have only a 'line' and since during a brief moment when it is check e-mail person can call you. Would be nice if it would show that you had a missed call. What I've done is cut my audit of the data and only turn it on to check my email or surf the web address manually. I hope they airs in a substitute so that you had a choice of which had priority.

    Thanks for your help

  • Phone restart of blackBerry Smartphones

I heard its good once a week or so to close your phone and restart it cause updates.

Is it possible to do it once a week on its own?

There is not a way to do it for a specific day that I know. But if you click the icon of your options, you can select automatic power switch. I would use the weekend setting, because then it would only turn on and off two days a week instead of five. You can also do to say in the middle of the night so it does not interfere with too. Just set the time walking for 5 minutes or whatever you feel is sufficient.

  • View blackBerry Smartphone email problems

I have 3 email addresses Setup on my Bold 9900.  Last week, I must have changed something because everytime I open the messages folder, I see that my text messages.  Similarly, when I try to open all the mail files three electronic... SMS folder opens.  I know I get emails but I can not access e-mail records.  They appear but when I open them the text message folder opens.  Help please!

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS configuration for these accounts.
