Problems of fonts on 4.1.1

Hello

I had the opportunity to go back to version 4.0.3 of the Xperia s tablet because of something that looks like a software problems, but it is not the point here.

I took the opportunity to take a few screen shot to illustrate the problems of fonts that Sony cannot see.

The question is really important on the latest version of the game (version 4.0.26) Google app.

This is a part of a screenshot of the application screen:

On the version 4.0.3:

On the 4.1.1:

We can see clearly here that the police is not the same on the name of the application and is clearly worse on the latest version of the tablet firmware.

I think that Sony can do the same on its side to see the different!

Just to be clear with Sony: it's just an example! We have the same problem on other parts of the operating system (pop - up, configuration, application using the same font (I have a few examples...).)

At some point of view, that can not talk about an issue (on Sony point of view for example) but it is not acceptable to have this point of view, moreover, that font is used almost everywhere in the system and use some applications.

Please Sony now the question is clear, can we have a few comments on a correction, I remember some enhancements from version 4.2 to android police.

Please Sony now the question is clear, can we have a few comments on a correction, I remember some enhancements from version 4.2 to android police.

This question/concern was reassigned to the Japan last month, they still have not returned an announcement regarding a correction again.

  • Problem with fonts. If enable hardware acceleration "BOLD" fonts look weird, but if I turn it off, "BOLD" fonts seem good, but normal fonts look weird

    Title.

With hardware acceleration: http://imgur.com/jHRk6Yl words 'empty' look and really weird air instead of being "BOLD". But if I disable it, normal fonts look "weird" in some Web sites (not all) and are difficult to read.
    Any solution?

Hmm, another user Windows 10 reported this after installing some Helvetica fonts.

In your screenshot, the text 'blue indicated' is the following style rule:

    font-family: "helvetica neue",arial,helvetica,sans-serif;

So I guess you have Helvetica Neue installed locally, which seems to have strange problems in Firefox.

If you don't want to remove this font on your system, you can use custom style rules for Firefox overrides Arial, which is what I see on Windows 7 on this page. I saw the first time that documented in this article (from 2010!):

  • Why I recently began having a display problem with fonts.

I recently started seeing a lower quality fonts display in my web depending on the e-mail program and it cannot identify what has changed on my pc, unless it's a Firefox update. Also noticed that the Google search results headers have small dots on top of all the letters.

The two pictures show my web mail in Firefox and in IE, which is how the fonts used to display in Firefox. I also noticed that this happens on emails, apparently at random, as some will actually display the fonts correctly. I'm running worm. 36.0 and it is up to date.

Well, I tried to download the images for a while now, but I don't see if there is progress. I can send the .png files if anyone is interested. Thank you.

Hi, this is probably caused by kb3013455 of update from microsoft that can cause problems of rendering fonts on vista:

After you have installed the 3013455 security update, you may notice a degradation in quality of text in some scenarios. The problem occurs only on systems running Windows Vista SP2 or Windows Server 2003 SP2. an option may be to tackle this particular update for now until there is a fix from microsoft or you could also look at if there is a graphics driver update available on the Web site of the seller (intel/amd/nvidia) which could also be solved this problem in some cases.

  • Big problems with fonts after upgrade to Yosemite

    Hello

I upgraded my macbook pro to Yosemite for more than six months and since then, I have serious problems with application of fonts in browsers and many software I use. I googled the problem over and over again and nothing seems to help.

In general, these are the main symptoms of the problem with screenshots:

1 system ads are gibberished, or better yet, appearing with something like that, instead of letters:

    2. bold letters does not at all (when I use gmail, for example) or leads to an illegible font change:

    3. hyperlinks symbols on Web sites or webmail applications simply appear as empty squares and there is no way of knowing what you click on.

Bottom line: before turning to the last option and the resettlement of Yosemite, if someone could help, I'd be more than grateful.

You probably have a lot of fonts installed garbage. Follow these steps to recover your Mac for only the fonts installed in OS X.

    (1) open the book fonts and choose restore fonts Standard menu. All third-party fonts will be moved out of the system and root of the fonts in the library files in a new folder next to each named (deleted) Fonts.

    2) click on the desktop so Finder is the name of the app next to the Apple logo in the upper left corner. Hold down the Option key and choose go > library. This will open your user account's library folder. Create a new empty folder on the desktop. Open the folder fonts in your user account. If there is something in it, move them to the new folder on the desktop.

    3) restart in Mode safe mode by rebooting and hold down the SHIFT key. When you reach the office (you need to log in Mode without failure), restart normally. Among other things, this erases all the cache files on the account of the user logged in Mode safe mode and resets the database of book of fonts for this account.

    (4) clear all remaining the system font cache files. Close all the running applications. From an administrator account, open the Terminal application and enter the following command. You can also copy and paste from here in the Terminal window:

    sudo atsutil databases - remove

Terminal will then ask your admin password. When you type, it will not show anything, so make sure you enter it correctly.

This command removes all the font cache files. To the system and the current connected to the user account. After you run the command, close Terminal and immediately restart your Mac.

Now test. With only fonts available provided OS and all data policies implemented cache and other such parameters cleared and reset, fonts should appear correctly in the system.

  • Police problem - all fonts show as "BOLD" even if the bold has not been successful.

No matter what I chose to compose e-mail, for example, Times New Roman, size: 12 Pt, police the selected font will appear as if I clicked on the B for the bold. The only size font which DOES NOT appear as "BOLD" is the 8pt font. This problem of police comes little matter the type of font, I chose. For a short time today, the appearance of the police showed that the type was in CAPITAL LETTERS, even if the CAPS LOCK SHIFT key was NOT enabled. I could not return to the low case letters, so I restarted my computer, and only the UPPERCASE function had returned to normal. The "BOLD" type always appears any police, I chose, UNLESS I reduce the font size to 8 Pt, for each single font from the list of fonts in Outlook Express. Can you please explain how it happened, and most importantly, how to fix? Thank you.

  • I have problems of fonts in Windows XP Professional.

I'm trying to import fonts into Windows XP Professional SP3. These are extracted from a Mac using 5 Fontographer and imported commercial policies in the TrueType. If I have four font files in a family (American Garamond Roman, American Garamond Italic, American Garamond Bold and American Garamond Bold Italic), four files appear in the police file and the registry. However, when I discovered the fonts under XP, the Roman and italic will be Roman and bold and bold italic will be just "BOLD". It seems that Windows does not recognize the other files. When I try to import them, it tells me they're there. These fonts were separate before the import, but not after.

This could be the cause? Is there a solution?

Symptoms suggest that the problem is how Fontographer generated data in the actual font file. Windows is not find data to correctly map the police to its menus. In any case, the most likely source of help to solve this problem is through aid or FontLab or Fontographer user sites.

Microsoft provides several programs Garamond (sources of Agfa Monotype). If you have one of those, you don't have to use a converted version.

  • problem with font size (LV2011SP1) scheme?

    Hello

I just found "interesting behaviour" using LV2011SP1:

I try to set the font size of the elements of the FP like this:

The upper graph is selected and I choose the font size = 18 in drop-down list of font settings menu. So, what do you expect?

The façade which result looks like this:

    WTF?

Why of scoreboard containing indicators digital change their font size when I selected the entire chart? Why the chart does not change the size of the font of its numeric values (ranges...)?

    Any thoughts on this "behavior"?

    GERD,

good news: it seems that it is a known problem reported as CAR #306025.

It seems that all the font properties changed for a graphic element effects all PS elements that have been created/square AFTER the chart element.

    hope this helps,

    Norbert

EDIT: The CAR was filed for LV 2010 SP1. It is still not resolved, this is why 2011 presents the problem as well.

  • Problems of fonts Windows Mail after installing IE9

I just installed IE9 (March 14, 2011) and started this complex problem. Have Vista Ultimate and use Windows Mail. My default font is Verdana "BOLD" by 10 points. With IE9, it seems much too fat (never appeared like that with IE8). Other fonts appear also too fat.

Another strange aspect of the same problem, at the bottom of the HTML emails, you have three buttons (source combined, called edit): Edit Source overview.  Since IE9, they appear in bold - possibly a slightly larger than before in IE8 font.

My emails stored in folders are in HTML format and on which they are considered, the fonts have changed since installing IE9 on many emails - but not all emails. The fonts must be Verdana 10 pt bold or some other fonts are now appearing in Times New Roman 10 points.

There is a second distinct problem with TNR in Windows Mail. I used TNR 12 pt for an email and after you send the email, it appears therefore as TNR 10 pt when a response is received. Regardless of the source of the answer. I never use TNR 10 pt because it seems too small for most people. Somehow 12pt changed to appear over and over again as 10 pt. And now, he continues this model since I use IE9.

A possible connection to explain to the police by changing the above problem. The default value for IE9 is TNR. [Tools > Internet Options > general tab > Fonts] Shouldn't some Web sites appear in TNR? They ALL appear in some other fonts, possibly Verdana. Affecting TNR font in the results of the accessibility in all fonts in all the websites appearing in TNR. I suspect when I changed the accessibility implementation, that in addition to changing Web sites, it also changed policies to e-mail in Windows Mail. I've since unchecked accessibility and "Fonts" are defined by default (TNR). The stored emails continue to show police TNR, that they do not return to Verdana.

Anyone with similar problems?  Anyone has any ideas how to fix these issues?

You can set the default font in Internet Explorer to the font you want in the mail via Tools client | Internet Options | Fonts.  Otherwise in IE9, you're stuck with what you have for Windows Mail.  The changes are again DLL located in IE9, and you cannot change these DLLs unless you go back to IE8.  Products of its Microsofts, so that they are accountable for your results.  Yes, delivers his "squarely" by Microsoft.

My fonts, such as displayed on my screen, have suddenly become thin and spider.  This affects all my windows applications, including the body of the messages to and Works word processor. • Problems with fonts and the Fontcache.

Recently, I noticed that a Svchost was running constantly at high CPU usage, as well as a few programs had stopped working on my PC. After doing some poking around, I believe the problem to be with Fontcache and my fonts. It turns out that my partner has installed a large number of fonts, which I suspect to be corrupted. Unfortunately, I can't open the fonts folder, or the section fonts in Control Panel.

In an attempt to put an end to the use of the processor (which I think is of Fontcache constantly trying to start upward - and otherwise), I have disabled loading in services, however it still loads up when I try to start a program like InDesign. InDesign will also not load, I suspect that for the same reason.
I could not remove all the fonts, or find no way to remove them, without access to the section fonts in Control Panel. I tried to access via a command prompt and just can't take the ownershop/control of them to remove them. All of the guides I found on the internet forced me to open the folder of fonts/Control Panel and manually change the permissions using the Windows user interface, but obviously I can't do that.
Does anyone have a solution to remove fonts or an another workaround for the problem?
    Thank you

We read the last topic on this subject and we followed the steps given by Andrei, but without success.

    Here's our manifesto: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6g4i7to7f1ojrc9/font-manifest.json?dl=0

    Could you help us?

I took everything what you do - manifest.json text and copied in a couple different online tools online JSON validator and they all came back invalid. It looks like a number of hidden characters which causes the failure. The first three successes with this query return a few tools: json validator.

To clarify these hidden characters, you must format the JSON as a text file. I hope this helps. If this isn't the case, I suggest you contact the support, it is maybe specific to the font files.
