Problems of moving from Outlook Express to another computer

OUTLOOK EXPRESS MESSAGE RULES TO OUTLOOK & EXPRESS OUTLOOK EXPORT

I'm trying to switch to OUTLOOK EXPRESS from a pc to another pc, and my problem is I don't think the way to move or copy OUTLOOK EXPRESS message rules to complete the transfer.

On PC, unresponsive (sometimes it takes almost 4 minutes to answer) where the RULES are.

Then I will be able to re - format the hard drive and reinstall win XP (his house), but will then be PRO.

Any help will be appreciated, both PCs have MICROSOFT OUTLOOK, used to transfer files and address book.

    Can someone please provide a solution step by step? Most of the messages and the links here seems to apply to a different situation, as OE6 and WLM residing on the SAME computer, or under the SAME operating system. Not so in my case.

    I see that Windows Live Mail is supposed to be able to import contacts and emails OE6. But where am I supposed to put old OE6 files on the computer so that Windows Live Mail can find them?     I have Windows XP and Outlook Express on a new computer and I also have the old Outlook Express files .bak (Inbox.bak, Sent.bak, etc.) from an old computer that is no longer usable.     You can manually import the bak, such files as described here for individual dbx files: www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#imp1

    If you have the entire message store to another instance of OE that copy on the desktop and check file properties to make sure that they are not read-only.  And make sure you folders.dbx is present.  Then you can go to file | Import | Messages and point to this directory and import of the old message store.  If the import does not work, or you do not folders.dbx, then you will need to use the manual to import the method above, or DBXpress (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/), which will extract the messages as eml files, which can be imported in a number of other programs, but also the OE.

    I followed your instructions and now have "storage folders" visible. However that a single user account recorded message records showing if you keep double clicking and scrolling down. There are 3 other user accounts whose records are not visible. I tried as well by importing and using Windows Easy Transfer for all alphanumeric codes in Outlook Express. I signed into Live Mail using the other our of the user, but this does not solve the problem... Please tell us how to transfer files from my old computer Windows XP to the new W7 mail.

    I migrated from Outlook Express to Thunderbird on XP, then moved the files to Windows 8.
    I had a 'group' in my OE address book. Nothing after that that group name (which began with an H) has been migrated to the new address book. In other words, I lost everything after H.

    I also have these contacts on Gmail. Y at - it an easy way recover of EO (I guess I could remove the Group and start over, but it's a long process and I'm afraid to lose the mail I already sent on tuberculosis), or y at - it an easy way to get from gmail?

    There are several solutions to your problem, which is the best for you which I do not pretend to know.

    There is the possibility of simply to copy the WAB to outlook express for Windows 7 and double click it to him bringing in the windows contacts folder.     Deleted items is probably damaged. On the off chance that you want messages to be saved in deleted items, (a garbage can), move them to a local folder, you create and then follow these steps.

    I have recently moved to a new PC with Win7 and have been using Live Mail - more often with success, I thought with the exception of one or two faults, but I'll probably post a question on those.
    On the audit of my old PC today, when I open Oulook Express have been downloaded more than 100 emails that have not appeared in Live Mail - dating back to the time I went.
    I tried to export these messages of OE, put it on a USB key and then import in LM LM do not seem to recognize them - these are the dbx files. Suggestions anyone please?

    If both computers use the same e-mail address, you must do this to get the messages on both.
     
    On both machines: tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Check: leave a copy of messages on the server.
     
    On a single computer only, make sure to delete messages after X days to satisfy your allocated space that you get from your server.

    After reading your query on how to Outlook Express to convert Thunderbird, I searched on the web. Finally, I have concluded that there is no manual method to convert Outlook Express messages in MBOX file. This process can be done in two phases, which are:

    1 convert DBX file in PST
    2 then convert PST file in MBOX file

    When sending emails from my Outlook Express , the following occurs:

    It seems that there is a corruption of dbx file.

    I suggest you go over your messages out of the Inbox, and then create new folders Outbox and sent items after you move the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

    If its a problem with your computer by sending e-mail messages, you must obtain an antivirus program, such as www.microsoft.com/security_essentials and also antimalware (www.malwarebytes.org) and carefully analyze and disinfect your computer.

    In OE, completely remove your e-mail account and close then reopen the OE.  Then add your account mail back with the appropriate credentials.  Also, go to tools | Options | Security and put it in the sensitive area and check the box that says to notify you if someone is trying to send emails like you.

    When you are finished with it, then wait 48 hours than your ISP gives you and then try receiving and sending again.
