You must also declare 'px' as a unit of measure, that is to say

margin: 2px 18px 0 20px;

not

margin: 0 2 18 20. like a lot of your specifications.

Is the only time where you can do it with success if its zero, as in senario
N ° 1.

    Thnx

    The main problem is that you used APDivs (position: absolute). By definition, they are positioned an accurate measure of the edge of the window of the browser at any time.

    You 'can' fix without having to rewrite your entire page (which would be my suggestion).

    Add this right after your

    And then add this just before your

    tag...

    Absolute positioning should almost never be used for the layout of the main site, you should take the time to learn how to use floats, margins and padding to position elements instead, but the above should get you going with your current code, just change the 950px to the actual width of the page you want and it must be centered.

  • How to fix problem with div layout on PC ok but on iPad?

    Hello. as the title says, im having a problem here. I have im builiding my own Web site and creates a page with all my exp. personal and so on. so that she is beautiful, I have created serveral div tags. Here is my site:

    http://www.eduweb.hhs.nl/~10071717/home.htm

    When you click on the "RESUME" link in the left column, you will see that the layout is ok, vertically. but there is way to much space between the created table (div tags)

    on dreamweaver 'live view', it shows very well with a line of space between the bottom of the table and the top of the text (trying to be as clear as possible).

    but when I press Ctrl + F12 (prev in the browser), it shows that it is now.

    on my iPad, it shows very well:

    I hope someone can fix this... its really strange.

    Thank you!!

    Boris

    After the end of each section of your RESUME you have code like below before the start of your next section/s:

    You must remove it so the section/s properly finish before the start of the next section as shown below:

    205270621

    Opleidingen

    Then you must add clear: both; and padding: 15px 7px 0 0; as indicated below for the

    CSS:

    H6 {}
    do-family: 'BankGothic Lt BT", Georgia, 'times New Roman';
    do-size: 12px;
    Color: #000;
    Clear: both;
    Padding: 15px 7px 0 0;

    }

  • Problems with divs vertical spacing

    Hi all

    I have problems with CSS and vertically stacked my divs, in the following code, there are a number of div tags identical and I want that they stack, one above the other as in a list. At the moment I need to hit return after each div down below than above and it puts too little room between each div doing this. I am at a loss how to fix the amount of the spcae between them and also to make only once directly below the other.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    Hi, I appreciate the help, but I don't mean to get rid of the formatting that the divs allows me.

    You can put any selector just as you wish.  IMO, a division of gazillion tags is not an effective coding practice and should be avoided.

    I don't understand why I need two paragraphs after each div text to get the div to the one above it.

    Review CSS margins and padding.

  • Problem Firefox DIV... is it me?

    Hello
    My test page is HERE

    My problem is that a DIV will appear below a DIV in Firefox.

    The styles for the two consecutive divs are:
    {.slidingPanelHolder}
    height: 60px banner;
    Width: 1062px;
    }
    {.servicesHolder}
    height: 60px banner;
    Width: 1062px;
    background-color: #13A89E;
    }

    I'm doing something fundamentally wrong or is this a bug?

    Hope you can help.
    Thank you
    Richard

    -Change

    {.slidingPanelHolder}
    height: 60px banner;
    Width: 1062px;
    }

    on this subject.

    {.slidingPanelHolder}
    Clear: right;
    height: 60px banner;
    Width: 1062px;
    }

    You must clear the float that you placed on the mainPicture div.

  • Problem with DIV not getting not my text block margins and bleeding on the right foot

    Hi, using Dreamweaver 8, in Windows XP. My level... ok with WYSIWYG and tables, but not much else.

    I downloaded this page as a free template, and the guy uses the div that I suck quite well to do. Yes, as I don't know what I'm doing with the DIV, I seem to have trouble.

    In Firefox, the text is too close to the left and the right. Where are the margins? It would be good to have margin px 5-10 from both sides. And he's bleeding off the coast of the right side of the white box. You have an idea why this is? And what is the reference for that? Should I through a table in there?

    I tried to put the padding and margins in CSS in the file for the "wrappers" but seem to have no chance.

    http://www.manmeetswoman.com/dating_advice/index.html

    Thank you.

    Ron

    Check all the property values of width in your CSS. To get started, you
    Width: 780px #wrapper - 2 and width: 800px for the h1, which is inside your
    #wrapper - 2 div. And there's more. Fix them and see if that helps.

    http://www.aptcoweb.com/dev/VIP/index2.htm

    Here's what it was: http://www.aptcoweb.com/dev/vip/index.htm

    That's what happens you neglect clear your floats at the top.

    {#join}

    Clear: both;

  • Problem of Div

    So I have around my div format links to my social icons in the upper right corner you can see here

    http://testing123.firelightstudios.NET/

    you will notice tiny little blue lines in the corner of each div. How can I get rid of these?

    The blue line is the underscore by default on each tag - this message appears because the content of this tag is a

    that adds space and you have not specified that there was no line.

    In any case, I'm framing this area a little differently:

    Change your CSS to work with this (do the tags block elements) and then add:

    .the a {}

    text-indent:-9999px; / * Mask the text between the tag * /.

    text-decoration: none; / * Removes the default underline * /.

    }

    EDIT: / / in addition to the fix above, I noticed a few things that could do with a row in your code. You seem to have used

    instead of each
    tag which is a very bad idea! Section is to break up the page into logical sections and there should be a section within each section - you shouldn't nest sections without titles. See: http://html5doctor.com/the-section-element/

    could be deleted and the background image attached to thetag via css.

    should be
    (or id = "wrapper" which is more common)

    can be

    can be
    .

  • Problem moving DIV

    I try to add an illustration behind the div of the main content, just a simple ornamentation to add some design on the site. I create a div container for both objects serving as AP. I did this, so I could layer behind the div. of main content however the divs PA 2 to move completely to the right of the page when I Preview in safari and firefox. Any help here? I might go to place this work the wrong way, it's the only way I think it would work. If anyone knows a better way to get there im open to any help. U link works, but the information that you download is not downloading.

    You can download the zip file.

    http://ALT-Web.com/demos/image-slices-in-a-CSS-based-layout.shtml

    Just cut your background image in Photoshop or Fireworks.

    Use the default CSS positioning (which is not at all positioning). Avoid the use of absolute and Relative positioned Divsiions as principal means of layout. Why read below.

  • The DIV alignment problems

    Problems of div... I need to get more experience in working with the Divs because that always seems to run into trouble...

    I use a magic project7 accordion plugin for my navigation. In one of the panels is a menu drop-down list of search form. When this opens a Panel, the main contained table moves slightly to the right. All other panels are working fine.

    I'm sure it's something to do with the Div or the list/menu form. I tried to remove the menu, leaving only a single link and the Panel was very good. I tried several changes to CSS style without result. I did a lot of trial and error with padding, margins, and width parameters %.

    The page can be found at: http://www.dvdflashbacks.com/williamsburghealth/index.php

    I've also attached the code here:

    well I finally answered my own question with this one. I got the CSS using a % instead of px on this one. Once I changed the size of everything beautiful in an exact px, IE7 poster form!

  • Problem of fluid page layout grid DW6: writing to the page instead of the css file

    DW6 using (version 12, ownership, build 5861) on Windows 7 64 bit.

    After the tutorials and help files to use the grid to fluid.

    1. Launch a blank page on a new site, which inserts the div of starter and the new css file
    2. Immediately save page which also generates / saves auxiliary files (js and css).
    3. Remove inner div that is created in order to use my own (tried also leaving room for a default value and use)
    4. Insert the new div within the div 'clearfix gridContainer.
    5. Place the cursor just after this new div, always inside the "gridContainer clearfix" and add a new 'fluid grid layout div tag', new line.
    6. Following the same method, do it again.
    7. Dreamweaver adds the CSS code generated to the actual page instead of the expected div visibly (minified)... and everything breaks. To do this, * not * add the code in the CSS file from there and the only way to have it show the div (which show no visual indicators since the CSS is essentially lost who would do it, CTRL-Z to undo the last step. It cancels the CSS presentation as the only content in the HTML file, and * is * display a div with the name I had given him. If I copy and paste this CSS generated in the fluid css file * so * CTRL-Z, he looks at the way she's supposed to, with drag handles, visible fingerprints and so on.
    8. If I then change div widths or position, it saves these changes in the CSS file, it seems that it is only when inserting new div tags after another is a problem third div inside the container is when it starts choking; no overlap).

    It is repeatable, desktop or laptop, running the same version. I tried to save after each insert div, only at the beginning, only rescue code view, split only...

    I tried looking for someone else having this problem and must not be worded research properly, impossible to find someone else saw it. It's weird.

    If someone can point me to something to try then workaround is not necessary, it would be appreciated.

    Work within a Site defined properly?

    Is the folder of your site in the disk/volume even as DW?

  • Almost every program I try to run asks me what program I want to open it with. Internet Explorer files using a calculator.

    So yes, as the title says, I can't any program to be run, I can't even look at my system to try to update the driver. I tried to download some programs to solve this problem of diver updates to the registry scan fix everything on the windows site and I'll try to run the program, but still he asks me what I want to open the program with. Internet Explorer is just about the only program I can get it to work. I can't even program my system restore to run, that asking too me to choose a program I want to open the file with. I don't know what to do. I was able to run my Norton Virus scans, analyses of registry, anything and everything that Norton 360 can do, I did it and nothing works. So please if you have any solution send them my way!

    So yes, I could find a site that fixed my problems that it was. http://www.dougknox.com/XP/file_assoc.htm

    so if someone else is having the same problems I was, go to this link and find the fix .exe and BOOM you guessed it.

  • getDevelopSettings(). Exposure2012 returns-999999

    My adjustments to the plugin, I use the getDevelopSettings() to get the original values for example, Exposure2012.

    A customer has a problem and dive into this I discovered that when, for example when you retrieve the exposure setting, in some cases LR returns-99999 instead of the actual values. Although, when you navigate to the image, the settings in the base Panel are correct.
    This client is the LR5.

    Reproduce:

    1. Run the plugin test below on a big file (> 200) with RAW files
      Sometimes, the error occurs live, sometimes after application of a framework on an undeveloped image.
    2. In the opposite case
      1. (Create a new catalog, better to experiment with a new catalogue)
      2. Import RAW 200-300 photos
      3. Select them all and apply your car to each of them (library & module grid)-> right click on the mouse-> develop settings-> auto tone.
      4. Run the code below and see what is in the log file.

    On some pictures this-99999 is returned and others do not. For the most part on the unseen pictures on the screen.

    When in develop mode, I scroll all photos manually, and then afterwards, it seems fine. Caching problem?

    Questions:

    • Tips and tricks how to solve this problem?
    • I missed something?
    • How can I fix this behavior?
