Problem Firefox DIV... is it me?

Hello
My test page is HERE

My problem is that a DIV will appear below a DIV in Firefox.

The styles for the two consecutive divs are:
{.slidingPanelHolder}
height: 60px banner;
Width: 1062px;
}
{.servicesHolder}
height: 60px banner;
Width: 1062px;
background-color: #13A89E;
}

I'm doing something fundamentally wrong or is this a bug?

Hope you can help.
Thank you
Richard

-Change

{.slidingPanelHolder}
height: 60px banner;
Width: 1062px;
}

on this subject.

{.slidingPanelHolder}
Clear: right;
height: 60px banner;
Width: 1062px;
}

You must clear the float that you placed on the mainPicture div.

  • Problem with DIV not getting not my text block margins and bleeding on the right foot

    Hi, using Dreamweaver 8, in Windows XP. My level... ok with WYSIWYG and tables, but not much else.

    I downloaded this page as a free template, and the guy uses the div that I suck quite well to do. Yes, as I don't know what I'm doing with the DIV, I seem to have trouble.

    In Firefox, the text is too close to the left and the right. Where are the margins? It would be good to have margin px 5-10 from both sides. And he's bleeding off the coast of the right side of the white box. You have an idea why this is? And what is the reference for that? Should I through a table in there?

    I tried to put the padding and margins in CSS in the file for the "wrappers" but seem to have no chance.

    Thank you.

    Ron

    Check all the property values of width in your CSS. To get started, you
    Width: 780px #wrapper - 2 and width: 800px for the h1, which is inside your
    #wrapper - 2 div. And there's more. Fix them and see if that helps.

    Hi Sashoto:
    Because I'm not a computer genius I forgot an important part of the info
    I have WINDOWS 7 Home Edition NOT in WINDOWS XP. That's why I think
    This version of FIREFOX UPDATE 36 should work with WINDOWS 7. All new
    recommendations for a solution to my problem? Thank you!

    Please follow these steps and let me know if these work:

    • Open the Windows Task Manager
    • Click the process tab
    • Click on show processes from all users
    • You may be prompted for confirmation. Say yes, or type the password.
    • Search for firefox.exe or similar process
    • Right-click on the process and select end process tree
    • Now, open computer > (c :)) drive > Program Files (x 86) > Mozilla Firefox > uninstall > helper.exe)
    • Run the installer-United Nations
    • Restart your PC
    • Reinstall Mozilla Firefox
  • After the malware problem, firefox is very slow, even though I uninstalled it twice.

    I have a malware problem. I have restored the windows and installed the Malwarebytes program. Also, I deleted the registry. After that, I send using firefox. However the mozila was very slow but not internet explore.
    Then, I uninstalled and installed mozila twice but the problem remains.

    Please try to run AdwCleaner and see if Firefox accelerates. If this does not help, try the following steps.

    Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

    Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu

      Click the close button

      ).

    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

    More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

    WARNING: Do not use an uninstaller to third parties as part of this process. This could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. They can be retrieved easily unless they have been backed up on an external device! See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.

    Please report to say if this helped you!

  • Two BIG problems: Firefox clears the tabs and will not save preferences

    Long story:
    I'm on a 2009 15 "Macbook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo with OS X 10.6.8. A few weeks ago I started suddenly problems with some features in Gmail... but only in Firefox. Specifically, I was no longer able to preview attachments in the new Gmail attachment viewer. After a long back-and-forth on the Gmail forum with no results, I turned to Firefox. After having poking around in Firefox Help, I decided to reset Firefox. This solved the problem with Gmail, but in turn created two new more serious problems with Firefox: (1) I can't save my history settings in the privacy of the preferences tab (I want to use the custom settings; whenever I have this option in the menu drop down and close prefs., as soon as I open Pref once again, the history of setting is default return "remember history"; (2) even more serious and obviously related: whenever I quit Firefox, all my tabs and groups of tabs went to the re-opening. I can restore the previous session, but this obviously isn't the solution.

    I basically tried everything suggested in the articles referred to in the help of Firefox, reset Firefox again, trashing the prefs.js file in my profile folder (I have no other pref files - that is to say without "prefs - n.js or 'prefs.js.moztmp' or 'Invalidprefs.js'... I don't see not a user.js file in my profile folder either). I even used the disk utility to repair permissions on my Mac HD... for all that is worth it.

    I'm so sick of everything that I am seriously considering ditching Firefox altogether. There, can someone help me understand what is happening?

    Choose "Use the custom settings for history" allows you to see current history and cookies settings, but select this is not make changes to the parameters of the history and cookies.

    Firefox displays "Use the custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one story and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that the changes have been made.

    If all the parameters of the history and cookies are by default, the custom settings are hidden and see you "conservation rules: (never) don't forget history."

  • Warning "Application cannot perform an operation. Problem Firefox (17.0.1) or Windows 7?

    At the start of Firefox (17.0.1), I get the message "application was unable to complete an operation."

    Is this an error in Firefox or the operating system (Windows 7, 64-bit)? After that I closed the warning, Firefox seems to work normally.

    Thanks for the workaround. Run Admin has solved the problem for the Version 17.0.1. The warning message does not appear for 18.0.1 - not so far.

  • I did the reset as suggested for my other problem, firefox no looks NOTHING like it did. I can't get the old one back. What happened!

    OK, I had problems with my firefox and nothing suggested worked... then he suggested that reset my fire Fox. SUDDENLY, it's an ugly interface, it looks nothing like it did. How can I enter in tools and options. It doesn't seem to be a choice. HELP, I want the back of an old

    I think I have it solved. I never heard the term "Middle click" but I push down on the roller on my mouse thing and it grew up from the other version. Of course the two extra toolbars two I disappeared so need to re-download. When I went to reinstall programs that were not there. Well, I hope eventually things will even themselves. Thanks for trying. I have the image that I posted on my other forum introduce yourself. So maybe all this did solve it. Thank you!

  • Widespread problem "Firefox is already running" suggests it does not close properly - is Mozilla solve this?

    Several people including me have reported a problem when closing Firefox and then try to re - open. The message "FF is already running and should be closed... ' appears, but the taskbar does not display an active FF. At this point, it is necessary to use the Task Manager to close the old term.
    1 this not always the case on my computer has started recently.
    2. most of the time that it is indeed possible to open multiple versions of FF without difficulty. This problem only seems to happen if I close the first session and then immediately try to open a new.
    So my question is what causes this, not what workaround to usable solution when it occurs.

    1 both of these problems (ending to Firefox and restart) are a response

    http://dmcritchie.MVPs.org/Firefox/Firefox-problems.htm#close_firefox

    2. multiple versions of Firefox you have to use -no-remote on your combination of browser/profile not by default. Which cannot be by chance, so either you messed up in start parameters, or you didn't never have multiple versions of firefox running at the same time.

    Please mark "resolved" a response that will better help others with a similar problem - hope it was her.

I uninstalled the toolbars and found programs be adware, malware, pups, and browser hijackers. Files deleted from the C: drive and the registry items. The computer is clean enough, in its current state.

    I used the utility to update the drivers directly on the Intel site. IE11 is intalled and he had the same problem.

    Uninstall/remove drivers and possible problematic aspects of computer programs has taken a little time, it looks like it might have solved the problem, however. Do not know is what his case important but

    Thnx

    The main problem is that you used APDivs (position: absolute). By definition, they are positioned an accurate measure of the edge of the window of the browser at any time.

    You 'can' fix without having to rewrite your entire page (which would be my suggestion).

    Add this right after your

    And then add this just before your

    tag...

    Absolute positioning should almost never be used for the layout of the main site, you should take the time to learn how to use floats, margins and padding to position elements instead, but the above should get you going with your current code, just change the 950px to the actual width of the page you want and it must be centered.

  • How to fix problem with div layout on PC ok but on iPad?

    Hello. as the title says, im having a problem here. I have im builiding my own Web site and creates a page with all my exp. personal and so on. so that she is beautiful, I have created serveral div tags. Here is my site:

    After the end of each section of your RESUME you have code like below before the start of your next section/s:

    You must remove it so the section/s properly finish before the start of the next section as shown below:

    205270621

    Opleidingen

    Then you must add clear: both; and padding: 15px 7px 0 0; as indicated below for the

    CSS:

    H6 {}
    do-family: 'BankGothic Lt BT", Georgia, 'times New Roman';
    do-size: 12px;
    Color: #000;
    Clear: both;
    Padding: 15px 7px 0 0;

    }

  • Problems with divs vertical spacing

    Hi all

    I have problems with CSS and vertically stacked my divs, in the following code, there are a number of div tags identical and I want that they stack, one above the other as in a list. At the moment I need to hit return after each div down below than above and it puts too little room between each div doing this. I am at a loss how to fix the amount of the spcae between them and also to make only once directly below the other.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    Thanks Rick

    Hi, I appreciate the help, but I don't mean to get rid of the formatting that the divs allows me.

    You can put any selector just as you wish.  IMO, a division of gazillion tags is not an effective coding practice and should be avoided.

    I don't understand why I need two paragraphs after each div text to get the div to the one above it.

    Review CSS margins and padding.

    < p > A MAC (Message Authentication Code) is a block of small fixed size of data that are added to the message. The technique involves Hat connecting two parties say (Source A and B) share a key (k) common secret. When A sends it a message to B, it calculates the MAC based on the message and the key. The recipient performs the same calculation on the received message using the same key, to generate a new Mac. The MAC has received and the computed MAC are then compared. If the received MAC corresponds to the computed MAC, the message is supposed to be authentic. < /p >

    You have an additional} (support) after your 'head' css selector that prevents the css cascade (see below). Remove it and see if the problem goes away.

  • Problem moving DIV

    I try to add an illustration behind the div of the main content, just a simple ornamentation to add some design on the site. I create a div container for both objects serving as AP. I did this, so I could layer behind the div. of main content however the divs PA 2 to move completely to the right of the page when I Preview in safari and firefox. Any help here? I might go to place this work the wrong way, it's the only way I think it would work. If anyone knows a better way to get there im open to any help. IM attaching the CSS and code from my work, and a picture of the way that it supposed to look like. Thank you.

    U link works, but the information that you download is not downloading.

    You can download the zip file.

    http://ALT-Web.com/demos/image-slices-in-a-CSS-based-layout.shtml

    Just cut your background image in Photoshop or Fireworks.

    Use the default CSS positioning (which is not at all positioning). Avoid the use of absolute and Relative positioned Divsiions as principal means of layout. Why read below.
