• Strange problem: colors changing after the backup

  I have a rather strange problem. Change the colors to a couple of my documents. At first, I thought they saved wrong, but I realized only changes when I download them (and not all uploader seems to change colors either) it also seems that if is performing mainly the purples and blues. In addition, it is not past with all my documents, just a handful of. I checked that the paintings are in the correct mode and all... I'm really at a loss for words here. Any ideas?

  I had the same probems and solved it like this:

  • Option 1: Install the latest version of acrobat pro DC (that much improves the conversion of PDF/A-1). There is a trial version if you want to try first...
  • Possibility 2: If you're stuck with Acrobat X, try the following
    1. to export the file to Word using the 'Adobe PDF' printer and set the stanard to PDF/A-1b. This will provide you with a file conform to PDF/A-1.
    2. Make your changes in Acrobat (page numbering etc.)
    3. Use the preflight (convert to PDF/A-1) or you can try the File\Save as\PDF-A

  The two have worked for me...

• Close LR without saving changes?

  Is it possible to close LR without saving changes? I saved my main dropbox catalog so that it syncs to different computers. But sometimes I forgot to close one of the catalogues open on a computer, do something on a second computer and then back to the first. But obviously I don't want to use it or save it because I'll lose the changes I made on the second computer. Thanks for any help out there.

  Right, got it. Mmm - not too bright on by copying and pasting it manually. There is a lot of hassle and I have to get in trouble. Still trying to perfect a solution of multiple computers... Thanks for the reply!

  I just installed Lightroom 4. Problems with "change in ' under 'PHOTO', when I select a program to edit photo in I download a message error - ORDER of EXECUTION ERROR INATTENDUE: bad argument #1 to 'down' (string expected, got the draw). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still have the problem. Any suggestions?

  When the user asks a row and update it.
  Without saving changes, if the browser is closed, next time when the page is loaded for the update, he said that the line of database is locked with the following error.

  Before you create a shared directory (this is not a DBA, but a sysadmin task incidentally) and a background process, you need to specify what and how you want to do something first. Maybe a shared directory is not possible (for example in the case of a Web application). Talk to your system administrator before you build anything.

  Even with a shared directory, you must do a lot more than just put a file there. If a user saves a "myfile.xlsx", but what to do with this file? Is he related to something, such as a purchase order, the invoice, the project...?

  Maybe you have seen the document management systems where you open a file in the application and save by clicking the Word or Excel records. But these are based on plugins, Office and other software installed locally on a PC.

• Energy saving changes my wallpaper

  Hello.  I use an Asus with Vista Home Premium computer.  I installed Power4Gear to manage my energy saving options, and I love it. However, when the computer is unplugged and goes into battery saving Mode, desktop wallpaper is made background base Asus. I love all the other power, however, the recording options.  I just can't understand how to disable this feature, because I like the wallpaper :) How can I disable JUST the changing wallpaper?

  To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  Perform the check and the clean boot if you have the problem.

  1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

  User account control permission

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

  2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

  3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

  4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

  5. click on OK.

  6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

  7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

  Reset the computer to start as usual

  When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

• Saved changes to the workspace when the PS is restarted (PS CS6 13.0.1 x 64)

  I'm having the problem that my saved workspace changes each time I open Photoshop. I have organized as I need it for work and recorded this workspace. As soon as I open PS even the basic structure is retained, but change the sizes of the windows, and so everything is not visible.

• FDK problem: "Unsaved changes in file" dialogue with MIF

  I have a problem with saving the MIF files using our client API of FrameMaker.

  After that we wrote to all our content, we are asked to save unsaved changes in the. MIF file.

  Hi Eric,.

  I don't understand if your software automatically saves the file, or if the user needs to do it after your process runs. And, I did not really understand what exactly you want to happen after your code runs.

  I think that all open MIF file (even if in a binary format, after opening in FM) will cause this prompt when you try to close it manually, even if you have made any changes since the last save. My thought is that FM simply looks at the file extension and generates this behavior accordingly.

  A few options you have (May) be more, once I better understand the situation:

  -Leave the code close the file itself, once it is done, using F_ApiClose (docId, FF_CLOSE_MODIFIED). This, of course, if the interactive user does not need to see.

  -Use F_ApiNotification() and F_ApiNotify to divert registration request and save the MIF file automatically, which should allow you to avoid the second prompt.

  -Use notifications to divert the process closing document itself, close doc on request if it changes or not. Or, perhaps, you can add your own messages. This would take account of whether you actually want to allow an interactive user to make changes after that the code runs.

  Just a few ideas. If you provide more information on what you want to happen after the execution of your code (it's probably the translation thing), I might be able to help more.

• IOS10 problem - cannot change a contact found using spotlight search

  Not sure if there is a specific option that is put in place for that, but I noticed that I can't edit a contact found spotlight search as I used to do before the upgrade. Before, when you click contact, if the result of the research, I'd be on the real contact app and could then modify as needed. Now I see only the contact and start a call or message or a video, or post or share but not to change the real record!

  For me, it's a pain, because it forces me to go back to contact app, highlight the contact before making changes to this.

  I just reliased the same problem this morning and it's complete in the anus pain, why would you take a feature on, I use it everyday for work by adding in customer emails etc and now I have to go through contacts! :-(

• Why on my Linux machine are not my Thunderbird account settings saved changes?

  When I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 I have automatically Thunderbird 24.4.0, which works well for most. However, I believe that I can not change the settings for the account. I can open the account settings and change them apparently, but when I get out of that edit (by clicking on the red x in the upper-left - it doesn't seem to be a way to save my changes) all my changes are lost.

  I found the answer to this (my own question!), so here, for those who have the same problem.

  At the bottom right of the window account settings, there is an OK button that you click to save your changes and exit. I could not see this button because the window account settings (which opens when I click on Edit |) Account settings) was too big for my screen. However, the OK button is appeared when I got to click on the button maximizes (two along the Red Cross).

• Portege R600 - display problem device change Utility

  We started to use computers laptop Toshiba Portege R600 series on my place of work. All laptops are home in a Toshiba Slim Port Replicator II. Laptops are all running a version of Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 applied (and of course a few customization business).

  The problem is with the display on the external monitor. The laptop starts according to the normal and connects to the fine. The Fn + F5 key and so we can switch between the external LCD screen and the laptop monitor. We can also extend the desktop on the external monitor without problem.

  The problem occurs when the laptop is not docked since the Replicator. After having similar problems with R500 series laptops, Toshiba following applications have been installed:

  (1) common modules (version 6.06.01)
  (2) controls Toshiba (version 3.31.3800)
  (3) button ON / OFF (version 2.5.1.0_IS115)
  (4) Toshiba utility (version 4.30.18)
  (5) Toshiba screen device change Utility (version 2.5.0.0)
  (6) Toshiba Hotkey utility for display device (version 3.4.5.5)
  (7) Toshiba Mobile extension 3 for XP (version 3.87.00)

  We now have the following symptoms:

  (1) detach, the "gear" icon appears and then the error "TOSHIBA Display Device change Utility is not installed correctly. Please install TOSHIBA screen utility unit of change. "
  (2) for the mooring of the laptop again, we get the "home" icon, and then the same error.
  (3) after that, the external monitor does not become active once again, until what you press Fn + F5.

  I have tried uninstalling / reinstalling the TOSHIBA screen device change utility. Have tried to remove the Mobile Extensions and install the software, tried a number of different things to make it work. Rebuilt 1 stop working and everything was installed in the order above without success.   We have tried this on a couple of machines that are the same exact specifications. The model that is sold in Australia is a Portege R600, model PPR61A.
