  You can disable the GPU manually by changing the preferences file to LR with a text editor such as notepad and change the line useAutoBahn = true to useAutoBahn = false.  You do not want to do with LR does not.

• Problems with the compatibility of Lightroom 6CC and ElCapitan on older iMacs

  When I upgraded to ElCapitan, Lightroom CC seems to continue to work without problem.  Then I did the first update and since then, I have not been able to use development module in the program.  I posted these problems on the Lightroom forums (see link below), but it is clearly an Apple problem, is not a problem of Lightroom. Lightroom people think it's the graphics processor in the older iMac which poses problem, but as I said above, it happened on the first update, not on the initial installation.  There is now another update on hold, and I fear that other programs will no longer work.  Apple made contact with Lightroom on those very real inconsistencies and what is their consensus?  This is a serious problem for a person using an older iMac and photo editing using Adoble products.  For a fuller discussion, please see the link below for the Lightroom Forum (information was also posted on the Forum from Adobe).

  FWIW, iMac 24 "early 2009 may have at least 512 KB of VRAM (typical models

  only had 256 K).  The specification of Lightroom CC, minimum is 1 GB of VRAM.

  Operation on this machine was borderline at best and probably just lucky it worked at all.

  In addition, a huge impact on the works of Lightroom is the amount of RAM installed.  With

  El Capitan installed, try to run Lightroom CC with anything less than 8 GB will be

  issue (despite what can say Adobe).

  I am aware that the same question has been asked over three years - but I can't yet find the problem in what I'm doing...

  Description: I have two controls tab, A tab with three tab and tab B with two controls on a Panel. For the following discussion, tab B is of no interest. Each tab control has several numerical indicators, of type integer and double. Now, I want to add a fourth tab control to A tab. This method works.

  Following and problematic stage, in the Publisher of the IUR I select the new tab (most right) and move two positions to the left. It's still ok until I try to display a numeric value of order of tab 3 (the new tab control is left to it). I get an error in calls to SetCtrlAttribute, complain about an invalid control ID... However, I didn't touch any control over the tabs, or add a new control. In addition, I did not touch the generated include file... Visual inspection did not show any changes in the include file (the new tab control is listed only when certain controls are added)

  Posting numbers on the first/far left tab control work only on 3 and 4 which are suitable for the new (and still empty) new tab will generate this error. Adding a control to the new label does not change the bahavior.

  When you get the handle for your tab using GetPanelHandleFromTabPage:

  GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_TAB, 0, & TabHandle);

  the third parameter is an index for the specific tab you want to address.  If you change the order of the tabs, you can change the index, too.  For example, assume that you have a digital control on the third tab from left to right.  You want to assign some value, so this, you:

  GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_TAB, 2, & TabHandle);

  SetCtrlVal (TabHandle, TAB_numMyNumeric, 1);

  Now, you add a new tab to the left of the tab with the digital contorl.  The new tab is now index 2 and the original tab is index 3.  When you call:

  GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_TAB, 2, & TabHandle);

  you get the handle to the new tab.  There is a control with the same ID as TAB_numMyNumeric, so that you get a runtime error.

  Personally, I like to use an enumeration to my tabs so I can keep the lines:

  enum {MY_FIRST_TAB, MY_SECOND_TAB, MY_THIRD_TAB,...};

  So if I redesign the tabs or add a new one I just re - order enums and everything works fine.  Also, I used the same names in my constants of tab, to help keep things straight:

  GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_FIRST_TAB, MY_FIRST_TAB, & TabHandle);

• WRT54GS - problem with changing the router IP

  Here's my problem: I want to change the IP Address of the router (and subnet) to 192.168.1.1 to (for example) 192.168.28.1 (long story).  I can do it on the base of the router configuration page.

  I have a desktop with a fixed address configuration: 192.168.28.90, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, default gateway and preferred DNS server: 192.168.28.1.  Three laptops get dhcp addresses.

  Access to Internet is fine, but local communications on the local network no longer work: shared folders are not accessible, and I can not ping to one local PC to another. (But I can ping anything on the web)

  When I'm back at 192.168.1.1 all is well again.

  Someone at - it includes what is the problem?

  It is most likely a problem of computer software firewall.

  To resolve the issue, reset the router to 192.168.28.1, then power cycle your network, verify that your Internet connection works on all computers.  Then go into the computer on each computer software firewall and set it to "trust", other computers on your network.

• Problems with changing colors

  As far as I know, I'm running Vista Basic and Aero for my color scheme.  Don't know which, it seems not switch back.  in any case, I would like to change the color of my windows, but when I go to the customization and windows color and appearance, it is just straight up with the appearance settings.  I made sure that I have all the requirements (as far as I know)... I am running Home Premium and have 2 GB.

  You click Advanced in the appearance dialog box to get the color settings.  NOTE: Depending on what theme or settings you used in appearance, the color you select may or may not apply - it explains that where you set the colors.

• Problems with the sliders in Lightroom 6

  I bought LR 6 - do not have a subscription.

  For about a month now when editing, the sliders have "jumped" to a previous setting.  Now I'll have to put my cursor on the line where I want the slider to the cursor to stay.  If I have to make an adjustment, then it pops up again.  As a general rule, it is now also slow when editing.

• Someone at - it problems with local adjustment in Lightroom 6?

  Software is allowing changes with the local adjustment brush but not displayed selection when I return to photo to refine or make changes.

  As it is I have to understand it the first time or start from scratch. Can't not with Radial, graduated filter, or spotting. This suggests that it is a software bug rather than a hardware problem.

  Pressing H (shortened to hide/show tools) solve the problem?

• Problem with change of speed on Twixtor Pro

  Using Twixtor 5.0 and After Effects CS6 and I am faced with a situation where keyframing speed % change causes the slow images to freeze for several images at once.

  What works:

  1. Drop clip in the new model
  2. Activate the time-remaping and increase the length of the model of a good minute or so longer than the source element
  3. Add Twixtor Pro to clip layer (seems to behave the same if you drop this model into another clip and apply to one)
  4. Set the frame rate to match comp (and extracts)
  5. Other low value, such as 5% % of the speed .

  Clip plays back nice and soft and slow, each picture is interpolated.

  What does not work:

  1. Repeat the above steps... up to 5
  2. Set a keyframe speed 1000%
  3. Playhead ahead before a second, set another keyframe to maintain speed
  4. Move several frames, keyframe speed 5% value

  When I have the clip, after the last change of speed, instead of a nice smooth movement, playback, I get a still picture, then several identical frames, then he jumps again to the next incremental image and so forth - with NO smooth interpolated images. The result, as you can guess, is very jerky.

  If you trash all keyframes and simply leave the speed change to 5, he plays completely smooth. Which is just great, except for the fact that I really want to animate it.

  If someone has encountered this?

  In the backup interval, I use Timewarp, but I'd love to address this issue.

  Hi Rick, I appreciate your persistence to help. It is certainly another way to use the plugin I have ever used in the past, but does not eliminate the need to activate the time-remapping. Certainly not as common as the majority of the tutorials out there, including the Re: Vision.

  Purposes of the argument, I tried this approach, but unfortunately the problem persists. Out of curiosity, there are specific problems that you avoided using the method solid vs apply directly to images?

  If I can dig up my serial number, I'll install the CS6 update following the instructions. I will definitely update this post if I get positive results.
