  I tried to open the video that have a .dvd file extension. I tried several trial programs, but none does not recognize the extension. The videos were created on my old computer using Windows XP, but many programs I moved were lost when the hard drive is gone on my new Vista machine.   I have 8.0 Zip when I create a zip file and open the zip file all show but open in notped.

  The possible Zip files were dissasociated and rather associated with Notepad.  Go to start / Default programs / high a file or program with a Protocol / and go to .zip files.  It shows probably associated with Notepad.  Go to the following link: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and select the zip file option file and run it to reset the association of zip files.

  If this does not work, install 7-Zip http://www.7-zip.org/ one good program free Zip.  This should establish associate files with 7-Zip Zip (OK this action if requested).  Then, use 7 - Zip to open the Zip file.

• Problems to open the PDF files created on a PC on a MAC

  Hello

  Im having issues when I PDF a Word from the Microsoft Office 2010 document. When I opened the pdf file after that is very well and when I send email to other users of PC, it is fine. The problem arises when I send the PDF file to a MAC user and they view the file. The text becomes black lines. The lines are also still visible when they print the document.  I'm using acrobat 9 pro. Anyone know how to fix this?

  I was converting a doc MS word to PDF 2010.  I think I found a good solution.  When you save the PDF file, I chose the 'options' and check the box under PDF options for "ISO 19005-1 compliant (PDF/A).  I tried to access this file last updated from my iPad and is no longer the text displayed as black lines.  He did, however, increase the size of the file a little... I think it's due to embedding the fonts?  In any case, it seems to work now :-)

  • at the opening of the CS4 CS5 files, we noticed that formulas, created using styles charater, do not display correctly.  For example x = y / z, which would have the x and = signs fell, pointed out the y and the z on the following line, something like this (although much prettier that I can reproduce here):

  However, CS5, all in the formula gyphs overlap each other

  • We tried to load character of our model of document styles.  However, who did most of the content to disappear!

  If you open the CS4 files directly in CS5, try to export files CS4 IDML and open the IDML CS5 files. It's worth a try if you have not already found that it does not help.

  I'm trying to reinstall windows vista for the following reasons:

  1. I have SQL Server 2008 installed on my computer.  I deleted some files a long time ago and it screwed something and I couldn't reinstall.
  2. I had partitioned my hard drive for vista half and half SuSE and I deleted who and when I did, I think I deleted another partition - my recovery partition (E:\?).
  3. I need to clean my laptop.

  When I try to start the installation of a disk and I put in my product key, I get the following error:

  Windows cannot open the required file E:\Sources\install.wim.  The file does not exist.  Make suure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation.  Error code: 0 x 80070002.

  Let me know if you have any ideas how I can fix it.  My next step was to recreate this E directory and download the install.wim file and re start the installation.  I could not find the file install.wim well.

  Hi Rob,

  I checked the link you provided.  What you downloaded was just the Vista recovery environment.  You cannot actually re - install Vista with that and if you blew your recovery partition unfortunately you may be out of luck.  You blew your partition containing Vista runs so the SFC will be of no help either.  I wish I had better news for you, but I don't see any way o get on without a Vista DVD.  I have good news for you if.  When you get your HP drive if you have problems with the installation, we will be able to help you with that.

  2. what disc do you use to reinstall?
  3. What is the exact error that appears when you try to start?
  4. at what point of the installation you get the error message?

  After researching the error 0x8007000D code is essentially due to file corruption and a problem with the drive itself.

  First check if you have scratches or dust on the disc and clean the surface and try again.

  To check if the disk is wrong, you will need to copy the contents of the DVD to the hard drive and try to install using that.

  At the opening of the .swf files I open or save as options. I tried all the fixes I could find nothing help. I even tried reinstalling the flash player program.   I created an html page of cinema at home with links to movies on my hard drive. I have two types of links or href = 'file:///C:/Media/movies/Looney Tunes/MainMovie/Vol 1 Disc 3/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS. If I open the html page in Internet Explorer and click on the link, it works very well (blu - ray opens by using Media Player Home Cinema). Also, if I directly open the .mkv files, they play very well (open using MPHC). Thanks for any help!

  I also used to get the same behavior with files from web sites, when I had the extension of InlineDisposition installed.

• Once I updated to Firefox 11, I can't open the pdf files. It's more the computer, snow leopard and lion and more than one Web site.

  I've updated to Firefox 11 and now I can't open the PDFs Online. This has happened on more than 1 computer, using the two OS 10.6.8 and OS 7.0 and on more than one Web site. I tried to uncheck "block pop-up windows" in preferences, but which did not help.

  Thank you, gentlemen, to find a "solution" to this particular behavior of Firefox. It is really curious that even if the screen is blank, you can indeed save the .pdf Ghost and then open the saved file to view. What is amazing to me is that this issue does not seem to be what makes the hit parade of the problems currently experienced Mozilla.
