Problems with < colgroup > < style col = "" >

Hello all, me again.

For the first time that I try to assign functions to a table by the use of < colgroup > and < style col = "" >

I can't even change the color of the column using an inline style

I went on the w3schools website and the code works partially with the conditions listed in the < style > header - with the exception of column with.

I bet it has something to do with the legacy that I don't see.

The corresponding code is less to:

My questions:

1. as I type, DW wants to force a ' / > ' at the end of my < style col = "" > box. Why?

2. what I am doing wrong? (as usual, I'm sure there will be something trivial)

-styles in a style sheet-

{table.admintable}

Width: 75%;

margin-top: 2%;

margin-left: auto;

margin-right: auto;

background-color: #DBD9FD ;}

table.admintable td {}

border: 1px dotted black;

text-align: center ;}

{.admincol1}

column-width: 250px;

background-color: red ;}

{.admincol2}

column-width: 100px ;}

{.admincol3}

column-width: 50px ;}

-code in html

< table class = "admintable" >

< colgroup >
"< class col ="admincol1">."
"< class col ="admincol2">."
"< class col ="admincol3">."

< / colgroup >

< tr > <th > Date < /th > <th > name < /th > <th > Type < /th > <th > comments < /th > < /tr >
< tr > <td > 01/05/13 08:83 < table > <scan td > < table > <pdf td > < table > <td align = "left" > home measures bp < table > < /tr >

< /table >

PS - I added the colors just to allow you to 'see' things better.

I feel that HTML5 is evolutionary, not revolutionary.-

This is the case. It was deliberately designed to be backward compatible. That is why Murray said that it is safe enough to use as a default value.

The main disadvantage with HTML5 is that Internet Explorer 8 and will not earlier apply styles to the new structural elements, such as

and
, without the aid of a small file called JavaScript HTML5 shiv. If you are new to web development and do not understand how to use the HTML5 shiv, just stick with help of

  • Problem with paragraph styles.

    Hello

    I'm having a problem with a site paragraph styles. I created and applied h1, h2 tags etc. to help SEO and everything seemed to work very well so I went to other areas of the site. To revise accordingly the site I decided I want to change some of the tags, however paragraph styles, I created have disappeared since the paragraph style window.

    The problem I have now is that when I write the site the tags are still there in the html code. Is there a way to restore the paragraph currently on a site styles in the paragraph styles selection window?

  • SystemManger registration problem with - isolate-styles = false

    I'm working on a modular application with a bunch of styles. I recently discovered that the loading of styles in the main application with isolate-styles set to true, would break the styleChain for modules.

    The solution was to hire a StyleManager instance in the module, but that has now resulted in ActiveWindowManager being not registered with the system for the module Manager, and thus, PopupManager explodes in line 358:

    var awm:IActiveWindowManager =

    IActiveWindowManager (smp.getImplementation)

    "mx.managers::IActiveWindowManager" ));

    if (window is IFocusManagerContainer)

    {

    if (IFocusManagerContainer (window) .focusManager)

    {

    AWM.

    addFocusManager (IFocusManagerContainer (window));

    }

    because at this point, awm is null.

    Does anyone have an idea about how to get this working? It seems that the implementation of the isolate-styles is originally a world of pain in the sdk 13099

    Thnx

    The main problem is that you used APDivs (position: absolute). By definition, they are positioned an accurate measure of the edge of the window of the browser at any time.

    You 'can' fix without having to rewrite your entire page (which would be my suggestion).

    Add this right after your

    And then add this just before your

    tag...

    Absolute positioning should almost never be used for the layout of the main site, you should take the time to learn how to use floats, margins and padding to position elements instead, but the above should get you going with your current code, just change the 950px to the actual width of the page you want and it must be centered.

  • Problem with nested styles

    Relatively new user of InDesign tries to follow the instructions contained in the help files on creating nested styles, and something weird is happening that I can't understand.

    The goal: create a paragraph for paragraph style, after a break from the scene in a novel with no hyphen and the first [number] of words in capital letters.

    I have the paragraph style and the character in the format style. Each style individually works as expected. But when I select the Style Options > drop caps and Styles nested > new Style nested > choose the character style > via > 4 words > OK, the paragraph begins with the first three words in the normal case and caps are applied to the four words of the first line. Nothing I've tried puts the caps at the beginning of the paragraph and begins to count the number of words from there.

    I'd appreciate any help to ease my frustration. Thank you.

  • Problems with nested Styles

    I am creating a style nested in copy CS5. What I want to do is to create the first few words with a certain style of character, then get back on the paragraph style setting. I have the nested style set to end with the end nested style here special character, but it seems to stay in the format of the nested little style matter what I do.

    Any suggestions?

    Just create the nested style to use the character for the first three words style. That's all.

  • Problems with paragraph styles in CS4?

    Let me start by saying that I recently switched from Quark, so I'm really a newbie in InDesign. I was watching videos as much as possible, but can't seem to find the answers to questions like that.

    I've been taking the old brochures that have been created in ID3 and sticky type and pictures in a new format that has been created in ID4. The new format has already created with the update fonts and other formatting paragraph styles as well.

    When I circulate in all the new type and click the style sheet, it does not change the correct font type and size, but there is in the paragraph of formats that are not updated. For example: the whole paragraph (according to the applied style) should be the book of Gotham, but even after you apply the style to it, part of it remains "BOLD" Gotham. He has been "BOLD" in the previous version of the document, but must be regular in this one.

    Why, when I apply the style, it does not the whole paragraph?

    I can think of a few possibilities, but the I would like to write specific instructions vary from one case to another. The find/replace menu is invaluable here. I could find everything he scored with a given character style and replace [none], replace by other layout specified shape or replace with a different character style that I could then remove. Note that when you delete a character style, you can choose to replace it with a different style of character or to preserve formatting after the character style has disappeared.

  • Problem with links style. Anyone?... anyone?

    }
    a: hover, a: active, a: {emphasis

    }

    HTML:

    1st link
    < div id = "Visibility" > < span class = "topNavBar" >
    < a href = "#" > investor Login < /a > < / span > < / div >

    2nd link

    "" < a href = "... / contact_us.html" title = "Contact us" target = "_top" > contact us < /a > < / span > < / div >

    CSS:

    1st link
    {.topNavBar}
    font: 14px Arial, Helvetica, without serif.
    }
    a: link {}
    color: #d8a61a;
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    a: visited {}
    color: #d8a61a;

    }
    a: hover, a: active, a: {emphasis
    color: #295077;
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    2nd link
    {.navBar}
    font: 14px Arial, Helvetica, without serif.
    }
    a: link {}
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    a: visited {}
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    a: hover, a: active, a: {emphasis
    color: #295077;
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    Your second set of rules will replace your 1st set simply because they occur later in the style sheet.  In other words,.

    a: link {}
    color: #d8a61a;
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    ...

    a: link {}
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    With these two rules, all links will be white.

    If you want the first affect only the .topNavBar links the value, you must include this classname in your selectors, for example,

    .topNavBar a: link {color: #d8a61a; text-decoration: none ;}}

    .topNavBar a: visited {color: #d8a61a:... etc.}

    You can simplify your CSS like this-

    .topNavBar a {color: #d8a61a; text-decoration: none ;}}

    .topNavBar a: hover, .topNavBar a: active, .topNavBar one: {emphasis

    color: #295077; }

    {.navBar}
    font: 14px Arial, Helvetica, without serif.
    }
    .navBar {a}
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    .navBar a: hover, .navBar a: active, .navBar one: {emphasis
    color: #295077;
    }

    Then, this will affect the appropriate links.

    You can also simplify your HTML code like this-

    >
    Continuing a long SQL More control on additional lines *.
    You can continue a long SQL * more command by typing a hyphen at the end of the line and press return. If you want, you can type a space before you type the hyphen. SQL * Plus displays a right angle (>) support as a prompt for each additional line (not in iSQL * more).

    For example:

    SALARY $99 999 COLUMN FORMAT-
    SECTION "WAGES."
    Since SQL * Plus identifies the hyphen as a continuation character, entering a hyphen in a statement SQL is ignored by SQL * more. SQL * more does not identify the declaration as a SQL statement until after the treatment of entry has joined lines together and removed the hyphen. For example, enter the following:

    SELECT - 200
    100 DOUBLE;
    Returns the error:

    >

    It only happens for the first line of a sql statement, because at that time there you are not in the edit buffer. And the order could still be a sql * more order and not a sql command.

  • Compact Z5 notification problem with coverage of Style SCR44

    Hello

    I'm having a problem with my new phone compact xperia Z5 and cover it in Style SCR44.

    In fact I transferred messages of my Xperia SP in my Z5C with Xperia mobile transfer Wifi live.

    It has worked well.

    But after that, I noticed that I had 4 unread messages when I close my cover.

    Screen within 2 to illustrate my problem.

    The classic first unlock screen:

    As you can see, there are no unread messages.

    Now the screen Style cover:

    Here, I have 4 messages received, but no message in the app :/

    I tried a few solutions, as clear data for the widget to cover, remove the protective filter style and he add, delete all messages, change my default application instead of meeting and check if I had unread messages, etc.

    None of them have worked.

    Can someone help me please?

  • Recent update is causing a problem with style on the leaves of masters

    Hello

    I've just updated Muse and I have another question with a master style sheet font and paragraph styles.

    The homepage looks like which is as it should be.  It has its own master page

    Home should look like this.png

    The other pages of the site look like this (see below) - the school text logo has been lost, the two missing buttons and the footer text of page is now black and not white and also is not justified and not centered but this arises out of the same master page.

    The only page that keeps the styling is the homepage.

    I tried to remove the text and styles of text by default re-adding, change - the only option would be to remove the main master page which I do not if it can be helped.

    About Us - looks like this.png

    I had this problem with the last update, but got around it by changing the default text styles - but that does not work now.

    I have 20 + sites set up like that.  I don't want to put hours of work into the sorting issues if it can be helped.

    Any information relating to this issue would be helpful

    Thank you

    Simon

    Hi Simon,.

    Please try to turn off 'IBE' (aka of editing in the browser) in the Panel "Advanced" dialog "Properties of the Site" within the Muse and the re - publish and check if that corrects the problem, the cause is something that we are aware and working on a fix for.

  • problem with style of background color of a menu bar?

    Hi all

    I tried a style menu bar, but it seems I either do not correctly, or it does not.

    what I found the syntax is
     -fx-background-color: Color;
    I tried to use black and nothing. I also tried
     -fx-color-: black;
    and for some reason, the text color changes from black to white... weird...

    I use Java 8 and there is something called 'Background', which I don't know too much how to use, but not too sure if I SHOULD use it.

    I guess the setStyle would work as the use of a css file and call that, but I'm curious to know if it's something I'm doing or if it's a Java 8 bad bug: P.

    Thank you all!

    ~ KZ

    So is there a problem with 'setStyle' with Java 8, or is it with the menu bar?

    I think that, it's probably a problem with your code or you are using an outdated version.

    The following works fine for me, (Java 8 b 91, win7).

    import javafx.application.Application;
    import static javafx.application.Application.launch;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.scene.control.*;
    import javafx.scene.layout.*;
    import javafx.stage.*;

    public class MenuBarStyling extends Application {
      @Override public void start(Stage stage) {
        Menu fileMenu = new Menu("File");
        fileMenu.getItems().setAll(
          new MenuItem("Save"),
          new MenuItem("Exit")
        );
        Menu editMenu = new Menu("Edit");
        editMenu.getItems().setAll(
          new MenuItem("Find...")
        );

        MenuBar menuBar = new MenuBar();
        menuBar.getMenus().setAll(
          fileMenu,
          editMenu,
          new Menu("Help")
        );

  • Problem with CS4 paragraph indentation styles

    Problem with CS4 paragraph indentation styles: specificities of the indentation suddenly APPEAR differently but reading the same thing (in the paragraph style palette) on page 5 to 6 and beyond. (He has no character style applied to text and no change to the page margins. The same master page is applied to all.) On page 5 when I pull the box down, the type is indented correctly, but when I flow on page 6, it goes to a different print and looks bad for the style.

    Both frames have the same applied object style? Have you checked text to overlay text block options?
