Problems with Eclipse 4.2.1.17 JDE component Pack

I recently installed the Eclipse component on a job pack 4.2.1.17 existing Eclipse with Blackberry JDE environment.

Hopefully, I can build and run my application:

one) about Eclipse with 4.3 to 4.7 component packs

(b) on the BlackBerry JDE 4.2.1.41

However, when I try to compile my app on Eclipse with a configuration for 4.2.1.17 I get many build errors. For example

"The TextField() constructor is undefined.

I spent 4 hours to reconcile the various project settings and working space between a work and version 4.2 configuration broken and do not see a difference. The only thing I noticed is that, during the exploration of the net_rim_api.jar with the package Explorer, the jar for versions of work has a constructor defined for TextField() and for version 4.2 broken there is not a defined constructor. My understanding of Java is that the compiler should not guard on this subject and decided in this case to the implicit Field() the super class constructor. This seems to be the case for the BlackBerry JDE 4.2.1.41.

Clearly, Miss something.

Has anyone successfully built with 4.2.1.17 on Eclipse?

Anyone have any suggestions for things to check or do to make this work? I would like all my development exclusively to Eclipse and this problem prevents me to do.

Same problem on thread later described at: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=java_dev&thread.id=49686&view=by_date...

Seems that I used an API not documented by mistake and it worked in new versions. Comment by wire above the RIM rep suggests not using undocumented APIs.

    Thank you for your time!

    Hello

    -Make sure that you have deployed the component as a library ADF
    -to reinstall the component uninstall first (select library in the resources catalog and select the remove from project option)
    -Add the new component
    -You may need to restart the IDE for the file in some earlier versions of JDeveloper JAR must be replaced by the new

    You do not give a Jeveloper version with your question, so that's all I can say for you.

  • Upgraded Version of the BlackBerry JDE component Pack

    Assuming that you have downloaded the version of the plugin eclipse the 4.6 component pack, you should simply be able to download it in eclipse using the usual tools of upgrade.

    Then...

    Software updates-> add the Site-> Archive

    And navigate to the zip file.

    You can also download a stand-alone version of the Pack of component which is not designed to be used with eclipse (so far as I know).

    There must be something simple.

  • Problem with Eclipse built-in debugger

    I'm trying to debug a Java application in a virtual machine.  Host is 8.01 Ubuntu (Hardy) 64-bit, the guest is WinXP SP2 32-bit.  Hosts and guests have Sun Java 1.6.0_07.  Host has Eclipse 3.4.1.

    I created a debug configuration "VMware running java application. I chose the file correct vmx, nam of username/password for the guest OS.  I also did that share folders has been enabled in the comments.

    Now the problem.  If the guest OS is already, when I press within Eclipse debugging on the host, it says it's "launch & lt; my app name & gt;. "in the status bar briefly. But nothing happens. No breaking point jumped and it seems that the app is not running in the comments.  I reproduce it on both host machines and with and without the guest VM being registered on a Windows domain.

    If I try this while the guest WHAT VM is stopped, Eclipse simply disappears on the host computer.  The process just dies.

    I don't know what other information would be useful.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey,.

    I think my hatred to Eclipse me-. -.

    When I run my program eclipse can't find cod of the file and do not start the program in the Simulator. In the folder, I see the cod and the debug files, but when I look in the project in eclipse there are only files .alx, .csl .jad .jar files

    Here is the result after running the clean.bat file in the Simulator due to the error:

  • New problem with Eclipse No definition found for. main()

    All of a sudden, I have hurt and packaging applications building.  Get this at the end of the packaging:

    No definition not found for static exported routine: .main (String [])

    What's happening on many projects that worked perfectly the week without changing code.

    I also tried to import a new sample application and it does not create the directory bin as usual.  After you have created manually directory bin the same problem occurred.

    Seems to be some issue with classpath, but I don' don'tknow where to go to fix it.

    Any suggestions?  Thank you.

    Thanks for the suggestions.  Don't know how, but the adjustment for level of the compiler has changed to 1.6 and incorrect JRE has been selected.  Back to 1.3 and selected JRE 5.0 BlackBerry and it works again.

  • Dependency problem with the new Blackberry Plugin for Eclipse

    I just encountered a problem with the new version of the JDE Eclipse Plugin. I set up my application project so that it uses two other projects such as libraries. Both of these projects are on the way to build Java in the settings of the application project, and the manufacturer Eclipse compiles without errors.

    But when I try to run on the Simulator, the application loader throws an Exception stating that it could not find one of the classes listed in library projects. Since it is the importation of first class in the main class, I guess that it was unable to find the entire library.

    I tried to have the application project to import the project two library, but nothing alx files has changed.

    In the old version of the Plugin, there is a property of the project "Blackberry project dependencies" or something like that, which should be set for library and rapc.exe projects and the simulator would be their. That went away, and I was told during Devcon now suffice to add libraries to the classpath. Apparently, this is not so for me.

    Can you give me an indication of what goes wrong?

    The problem seems to be that I imported my projects since the previous version of Eclipse plug-ins, Blackberry. I have now created a new workspace and new projects, completely maintaining the source files, and it works.

  • Build a path problem in Eclipse

    I'm having a problem with Eclipse find Java interface that is generated from a resource file. I created the .rrc and .rrh files in my source tree. The interface file, however, is placed in a .tmp file that isn't on the build path Java, Eclipse complains that it cannot resolve the references to the interface and that you do not to import it. I can add the .tmp folder to the path to build in the project properties, which makes Eclipse happy, but he does not 'stick' - the next time I start Eclipse, .tmp is out of the way of construction. It also disappears each time that I add or remove a project class. What I am doing wrong?

    the jde creates the StringsResource.java file dynamically (in your tmp folder).
    You must add this file (or one that you created manually, depending on your workflow) in eclipse. No tmp of course folder, copy it into your project folder.
    do NOT add this file to the jde project.

  • Problems with Manager.createPlayer)

    Hello

    I'm new in the world of development of BB... I'm doing a simple application that retrieves a file from a URL .wav and it plays, but the process is stuck on Manager.createPlayer (URL).

    I ran the application using the debugger and when it comes to this line he says 'source not found', here's a snippet of what I'm trying to do:

    public class MyPlayer implements PlayerListener, passable
    {

    Player;

    (I call this my main application thread and start it)

    {} public void start()
    Thread t = new Thread (this);
    t.Start ();
    }

    void run() {}
    try {}

    String url = "http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/mma/media/test-wav.wav";

    Create an instance of player
                 Player = Manager.createPlayer (url); (it gets stuck in this line and the IDE shows a source not found)
    player.addPlayerListener (this);

    make the player
    Player.Realize ();
    Player.prefetch ();
    Player.Start ();
    }
    {} catch (Throwable t)
    reset (); This is a method of myself
    }
    }

    }

    The funny thing is that I tried the same code with a MIDlet and it works well in Nokia and Sony Ericsson simulators, but Blackberry is locked. I'm missing something here?

    I use Eclipse IDE, BlackBerry JDE component Pack Version: 4.5.0.16 and the Simulator Curve BlackBerry 8300 that come with the JDE.

    I also tried the application in a BlackBerry Pearl Simulator, with the same results

    Any advice will be highly appreciated = (...)

    I found the solution, the problem was that my emulator had no access to the internet, when he tried to connect to the URL and get the .wav file it so never found the source.

    I downloaded Blackberry email and MDS services Simulator package, which allows the internet connection for the simulators, and it worked!

    I could connect to the URL and play the .wav

  • JDE component package are not not in the eclipse preferences

    I installed the beta2 of eclipse plugin that comes with the component package 4.5. I also installed the beta JDE 4.7 which comes with the 4.7 component package. Two of them work properly except that I want to work with libraries 4.7 but component package 4.7 does not appear as an option in the preferences of eclipse, it won't let me choose 4.5.

    I tried to reinstall 4.7 JDE nothing helps.

    Should I do so that the component Pack see the 4.7 in option in eclipse?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Please note that the current beta version of the BlackBerry JDE for Eclipse requires the update of the Eclipse for the JDE 4.3 software component Pack and that he cannot stand the previous installations of the BlackBerry JDE or BlackBerry JDE component Packs.  They can be downloaded here:

    In any case there may be a problem with the USB stack in Windows XP Service Pack 3 so I recommend you to install the following fix can correct a problem of 'timing' of USB that can be useful for the error you receive:

    There is a link at the top of the article to request the hotfix.

    There was a driver of Synology (busenum.sys) loaded during the crash, but it does not appear to be involved in the accident.

  • Eclipse problem with icons

    I do a job more in Eclipse. The last step is debugging. Here I have a problem with icons not found. The icons are visible in the correct folder but the Simulator/debugger don't 'see' them. I suspect there are a few steps that I need to do, but I can't understand. See attached picture

    Is the folder containing the icons on the path of the source for the project? According to the structure of your project directory, the path of the icon of the program may have to be "/ 9.png" instead of "/ prg_icon/9.png ', etc..
