Problems with Lightroom
Hello
I have problems with Lightroom (I do not have Photoshop) for a few weeks and it's worse and worse. Lightroom is so slow that any work is impossible; It takes several seconds to display a picture and many others to zoom. Other features of lightroom are almost impossible to do.
Whenever I left lightroom, you receive the following message:
"adobe media core.0 has stopped working".
No idea what it is... I don't know if the 2 problems are related.
I tried to uninstall Lightroom and reinstall... Quite useful!
My computer has 4 GB of RAM; I tried to move to 8 GB, but it makes no difference.
My graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 (PCIe/SSE2) and I have installed the latest driver; I tried to disable the use of the graphics card (in the Lightroom preferences).
I have enough HARD disk space...
Please, help me!
Thanks in advance.
A lot of brushing causes these slowdowns. Your processor is a little old and slow by today's standards. I'm not surprised that you encounter these problems, especially as the pictures got bigger over the years, and yours are now 24 megapixels.
As an experiment, you might want to try to create a new catalog, take pictures of 10 or 12 that have no real value, they will only be used for the experience, import these 10 or 12 in the new catalogue and then do all your editing, but don't do any brushing. Lightroom is faster?

Problem with Lightroom suspended
I'm having a problem with Lightroom 2015.6 constantly hanging or crashing when I go from the library module in the develop module. I have a Windows 10 machine with AMD Radeon HD 7450 graphics card and have had NO problems in the past. Nothing has changed.
Lightroom won't let me turn off the graphics card in the Preferences tab, so I disabled it in the Device Manager and it seems to work now. Does this mean I have to buy a new graphics card just to run Lightroom?
Please follow these instructions to manually disable acceleration GPU for LR: Adobe Lightroom GPU troubleshooting and FAQ
If done, re-enable the GPU in the Device Manager.
If you do not use a 4 k monitor, there is no gain to you have acceleration GPU-leaving just disabled.

I'm having a problem with lightroom 5.7.1 running on windows 8 64-bit.
I'm having a problem with lightroom 5.7.1 running on windows 8 64-bit. Whenever we try to open the computer software crashes, we deleted the lock file and reset suggestions as suggested, without success. We have uninstalled and reinstalled the software without success, still the same problem of crash
If all of the computer crashes, it's a hardware malfunction or a bad/corrupt/old video driver.
First install/reinstall the latest driver for your graphics card. If this does not help, then you need run diagnostics on your hard drive, memory and also make sure that the fans are cooling the CPU correctly.

I had endless problems with Lightroom since the purchase of subscription for one year in December 2014. Now, the development Module was disabled, as they claim that my subscription has expired... He spent more time to work does not, and I bitterly regret it. Help, please!
Open the Adobe Creative Cloud application then go to preferences then sign out and then sign back with the same Adobe ID that you used to purchase the subscription photographers, that is to say the same e-mail address and password.
Then open Lightroom and go to the Help menu and make sure that it is signed in with that Adobe ID email address.

Have a problem with Lightroom 5.4. Given that the program crashed yesterday, will not start, it comes up with the message "Lightroom has encountered an error when reading the preview cache and need to quit." "Lightroom will attempt to solve this problem, the next time he throws." Except that it isn't, I get the same message and the program closes. Anyone know what I can do to fix it? Can not backup, can't do anything.
There are dozens of discussions in this forum that describe the fix

always have a problem with Lightroom!
My problem with Lightroom 5 still is not solved! I always get the same error message "an error has occurred when trying to switch modules" and I can't do anything in LR5. I already uninstalled all of ACC and reinstalled all programs. I have not either a previous version of LR. I can't access preferences in lightroom and there is no import function either. It's my third time posting on this subject, and the problem has not been corrected. I really regret this subscription up to now.
Not to be ungrateful, but that doesn't really help me.
Maybe you can contact Adobe itself, since you are a subscriber to the creative cloud. These forums are not the way to contact Adobe.
I can't access preferences in lightroom
If you received advice to remove preferences, you would do this outside of Lightroom in your operating system, with closed Lightroom.

Problem with Lightroom and printer Epson
I suddenly have problems printing from Lightroom. I have Lightroom 1.4.1 installed on an iMac G5 and have an Epson Stylus R2400 Photo. I use this combination from the beginning without any problem. Now all of a sudden when I try to print I get an error message that says media is released or not loaded properly. Is the case. I tried to restart my computer, the printer, and all I can think about, but nothing works. I can print from other applications without problem, so I guess it's a problem with Lightroom.
Someone knows something similar? I was going to uninstall lightroom and do a reinstall, but I can't find my installation disk. Now I am at a loss to figure out what to do.
Thank you
Craig
Try to remove your file and/or print templates.
Lightroom is unique in many other programs that it saves and restores the settings of the printer. Some bad data may have tried to be passes. Could contribute to a 'new beginning '.

During a photo this morning montage, photoshop crashed and restarted ten windows. He did whenever I opened it. I had to uninstall lightroom and photoshop to stop the problem. I had this problem with another laptop. I'm think he had back problems. Now, I have the same problem on this news. I don't know what to do, but it drives me crazy.
Applications can have all of the computer of BSOD, stop, restart, or gel.
The only things that can cause that are bugs in the operating system, bug in the drivers at the low level and the defective material.
If you have a Nvidia GPUS with Nvidia to see if you can use their beta driver or if you need an older driver to correct their recent driver bug that causes errors in kernel_security_check.

A stand-alone problem with Lightroom 6 passing files to edit in Photoshop CS6 independent
With Lightroom 6 opened in 'Library' mode and display the images in the display of the grid, I select an image and right-click on it and choose the offered menu "Edit in > edit in Photoshop CS6»
I get no options as the original or original with Lightroom alterations etc., he just goes ahead and open Photoshop, but fails to transmit the image and I find myself with an open Photoshop but not picture.
Suggestions as to how could be remedied this problem.
Thanks, Stephen
Solve the problem by the following steps:
1 launched Photoshop third-party plugins to jump (with SHIFT key during launch)
2A tried to open an image from Lightroom to Photoshop > open very well
3. copy all the plugins from the location next to the desktop and removed from its current location.
4 put them one by one back to the original location of the office and tried to open the Lightproom image to Photoshop at the same time to find the plugin that was defective.
5 development and coral as the defective one, installed them only in Lightroom and removed from Photohsop

Windows 7 problem with Lightroom 5.3
I downloaded Lightroom 5.3 via CC. It worked fine for a short period of time. When I try to open it now, it loads but I get the message saying there is that a problem with the program and Windows will see if he can correct the problem. He cannot fix the problem and stop at Lightroom. I can run 4.4 Lightroom without any problem. I use Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on an HP laptop. BTW, I uninstalled LR 5.3 and reinstalled, but that has not solved the problem.
When uninstall LR preferences file and catalog are NOT deleted, so so corrupted it can cause this kind of issue.
Try to reset the preferences file renaming 'Lightroom 5 Preferences.agprefs.OLD' or simply remove the.

Problems with Lightroom 3.6 update
After update to install 3.6 LR, LR will recognize is no longer Photoshop CS5 64-bit as an external editor. After adding it again manually, it still doesn't let me use various features of Photoshop plugin. No "merge to a panorama' or 'merge to HDR' or 'open as smart object' or 'open as layer '. I was able to add manually the Photoshop C5 return as long as editor-in-Chief, but the options are still grayed out and pictures will not be re - import in Lightroon after editing. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. Absolutely no problem before installing 3.6 LR. Any suggestions? I do not want to reinstall Photoshop CS5 and I can't uninstall LR 3.6 will fix the problem...
Anyonwe else has this problem?
I had the same problem with my desktop i7 Win 7 CS5 manually added but things just weren't right then reinstalled Photoshop CS5 and now everything is fine. Problem list that I had with an update of Lightroom came to 2.4. A side note ran that same update on my Win 7 i5 laptop no matter what so ever.

problems with lightroom 5.3 updates in windows 7 SP1 from HP
After downloading and installing the 5.3 update I could open lightroom and it seemed to work fine. But when I tried to open an cr2 file in explore that no known program was found. I loaded to use lightroom now found in the lightroom 5.3 folder, but instead to open lightroom that the system attempted to use adobe reader, which of course did not work. Yet, now adobe reader was related to the cr2 extension. I tried to restore using 'open with' or by using the specific windows settings page, but it's still on the reader instead. Finally, I ran a system restore and tride to reinstall the update, but we're stuck trying to decompress. I canceled the installation and now it's a mess. What should I do?
You can't actually "open with...". "Lightroom - you must open the program and explicitly import the image into the Lr database.
Can't comment on separating the Adobe Reader CR2 suffix - you did that it worked, except that it won't work with Lightroom. But what about how you use Lr, no matter in fact.
