  Hi all

  I have no idea why I'm having this problem in Illustrator. I use the small Intuos Pen Tablet (CTL-480), and my lines in illustrator is really strange. Even when I turn off the pressure in the brush settings, there is a gap in the line (it takes just one line of the same thickness). The Tablet works perfectly in Photoshop, but because I use the tablet to create art using plates (typography), it is easier and better for me to use illustrator. You are not sure that someone else had a similar problem or know maybe a setting I could change or try to fix it?

  This is a known issue.

  If all you want is a line single width, do not use brushes. Use the pencil tool and a simple blow

  If you apply a calligraphy brush, apply the effect zig - zag to it with a value of 0, then a setting of about 100 (turn on the preview to adjust)

• Recorded problems with PDF in illustrator

  I designed a menu for a client in illustrator and saved as a PDF file. That, once I record looks like this...

  

  The customer has now come back to me, because when they download it from the site of printers it looks like this...

  

  I tried registering in different sizes and uncheck and check some options in the PDF save menu but whenever it is downloaded on the website of the printer, it comes out looking bad (not always the same, but still lack of pieces or pixelated with the color changes)

  Anyone have any ideas where I'm wrong? Still, it looks good on my laptop, it's just when it is transferred to the site of printers?

  Here is what I tried it - I don't have illustrator here at home - so I used my work VPN to connect to a machine that has CS5:

  analysis-

  file was created in Illustrator 5.1 (part of the CS Suite 5.5).

  No spot colors

  file size is 9.6 MB

  no purge on document

  work plan is 4.25 x 6.25

  all objects appear to be vector

  the text outlines is

  I tried to make it work and can have a solution (I made a new file, but it is 11 - probbably too big for e-mail)

  possible solution:

  1 make a new layer and make sure it is the top layer

  Select all the text elements (VEGAN, the address block, all the menu items) move them to the top layer.

  2. turn off that layer

  3. Select all the original layer - go to object > rasterize - in the dialog box that opens - the pixelation CMYK value - 600 dpi - then click OK - this will rasterize the baskground.

  When he finally... back on new layer - save the file under a new name (if you still have your original intact).

  4. your PDF for printer this NEW file.

  I have attached a jpeg image of what it should look like your finished document (assuming that the finished piece is supposed to be 4-1/4 x 6-1/4) he may need to bleed more (top, bottom and right side).

• Problem with printing in Illustrator

  Hey all. One of my users is having a problem whenever she prints a document of several pages in illustrator (usually 11 x 17). Before printing, each page of the document rotates from portrait to landscape mode, and then the document is saved. Once printed, the first page of the document is correct, but all subsequent pages are oriented for portrait, and of course, this leaves half of the page that was cut. The only things we have tried so far have changed the settings in the print dialog box (by selecting certain pages and page layout) without change or correct. I'm not keen on old papers, but I'd love to find a solution that does not throw the baby out with the bath water. Someone has an answer for this? Thank you!

  Why don't do you the other elsewhere, and not turn it in landscape mode. Just leave it in the portrait. The printer does not care.

  I'm working on a vector image in which all the traits are assigned to 0.1 pt.  Now I'm ready to save as a PDF, and when I see her in Acrobat, the strokes seem to resize according to the zoom level.  Seen at high zoom, the lines appear in the correct proportion, but with a zoom, they resemble thick black lines clumsily.  No idea how to get around this problem?

  Unfortunately, it is enabled by default:

  Edit > preferences > Page display > rendering > enhance thin lines

  It improves their well. Uncheck it and enjoy newfound accuracy.

  I fixed it! For any reference later anyones: I fixed that by installing it on my other computer, transfer it to my laptop and I ran as administrator and now it works.

• scaling problems with Windows 8.1 and 3200 x 1800?

  What is the scale of the problems with Photoshop and Illustrator CS6?  I have a hidpi 3200 x 1800 13 '' laptop with win 8.1 and may not use the software because of the text in lower case.

  CS6 is released before HiDpi screens were frequent and there is no adjustment in this program.

  You can try to go to Preferences > Interface and changing the font size of the UI to wide.

  You can also try to lower your display resolution up is decently readable.

  Two copies of the same product version cannot exist on the same machine. You had a test version and then install CS5, it would have had a few mistakes contradictory on the thank you screen or product should have been disabled in the Options dialog box.

  Try to uninstall first of the CS5 Suite and then install again, these three applications should work perfectly.

  CS5 and 10.11 are not supported and will never be supported by Adobe or Apple.

  However it works for some, more actually, but not all. There are sporadic problems with Illustrator, Photoshop seems to be the best. Do not expect an improvement and keep in mind that anyone from Adobe, Apple or anywhere else will fix it.

  I check the Forum, but I have seen no response to my problem so I try it myself!

  I just bought a DELL Monitor to match with my DELL E196FP monitor strictly 2408W and my personal computer. I see a lot of difference between the qualities of both monitors. The calibration of the 2408W brings me some difficulties and I still haven't found the perfect balance again. (even after trying to use it with the flow, it's really too 'bright' and it's exhausting to watch)

  However, I got a nasty surprise when I used Adobe Photoshop: when I use all the tools, the color inside the Panel is "buzz": two or three different saturation/hue color turn when I move-to-use tools. It seems to be related to RGB in Photoshop mode because this situation is not present in CMYK or Lab mode, or with other software.

  I never have this problem with any other monitor and I would like to know if it is related to the regularity of the 2408W and if someone has already found a solution to this problem. I tried different configurations, but nothing seems to get out of this situation.

  I found the solution.  The problem was incompatibility of Illustrator 10 with Windows 7.  I went to the Start Menu and clicked on Illustrator and selected the option "troubleshoot compatibility".  I ran the virtual test for XP program with Illustrator.  It worked, so I saved the settings.  Illustrator now works normally.

  Thank you, but the problem was simple: the box to save the file was with the option 'include linked files' and I do not understand. I never click on this option, but I discovered that my friend had clicked on this (we have both worked with the same campaign files).

  Hello! I am haviing a few problems with my CC from Adobe, I had trouble with the Illustrator so I was told to uninstall, but now it won't let me install again via the Adobe application manager. It just says: it is updated. Also, I'm trying to acess my libraries through CC in Photoshop using creative cloud but when I go to the window there is no option for libraries.
