problems with SWFs in FLASH CS3

Hi guys.

I have problems with the construction of my Web page with Flash.

I imported the swf files I want in my library, but when I try to put them in folders my computer seems to seize up and takes a few minutes to do the job, and can be very slow and I am unable to what anyone on PC while he does this.

I do not have incounted this problem before on my PC but I have had it for over 5 years now and I'm on reason to buy a new PC in spring next year when Windows 7 is available on all new computers.

I'm using windows XP with all updates available and updated upgraded to 1 GB of memory last year.

Is my old PC to work with FLASH CS3 or is this another problem entirely?

Any help would be welcome.

Thank you

your ram is low.  so, that "probably the main problem.  You should have 2 GB, at least, and you will see a noticeable difference with another 1-2 GB (total = 3-4 gb).

When you get your new computer, make sure you get at least 4 GB.

  • Problem with FLVPlayer in Flash CS3 (you need to register on Actionscript 3.0 SWf file)

I use Flash CS3 and I'm trying to publish a SWF file that makes use of the "FLVPlayback" component I need this SWF file that will be published in an Actionscript 3.0 file, I then put my publication of Flash Player 9.0 and Actionscript 3.0 settings, but get an error as follows:

    "WARNING: the"FLVPlayback"component requires ActionScript 2.0."

If someone has encountered this? I'm doing something wrong? I'm quite comfortable in Actionscript/Flash 2.0, but I'm only my first not in the relam CS3 and AS3.

I've also attached a screenshot of the files which represent my FLVPlayback component (or so I assume). (see this link for attachments http://www.actionscript.org/forums/showthread.php3?t=140886)

Gotcha. You have started the document in AS2, and then changed the
publication settings. Each language version has its own version of the
(Written in the language concerned) FLVPlayback component. Start over and
compare two compleley new FLA documents: make one for AS3 and AS2.
Open the components Panel and note the differences between the two. He
are a different set of components according to the language chosen for the
document. Drag the FLVPlayback components Panel in a
AS3 document and you have the AS3 version.

    Thank you!

Found a solution for this atlast! Remove the Users/AppData folder for flash CS3 and things will be back to normal. Somewhere, it seems the screws of the IDE Flash and save settings for local users. These parameters of compensation restored my window of action!

the point is, this question was posted here every day for months - was top news across the web
also. Yesterday this question has been asked and answered at least 3 different times. You almost
don't even have to use search - just scan down the headings for more information on this
topic. Keywords include upgrading IE, active content, border around a flash film, etc... We have been
posting the same info over and over sos as many times that some of us just find it surprising when
a person does not bother to do at least a certain amount of research. You would have found the answer
in a few seconds to search this forum or google as sopposed to wait for someone to volunteer info.

So, for the 1000th time, I'll give you this URL:

    http://ActiveContent.blogspot.com/

    and this one:
    http://www.keyframer.com/?p=24

Do not be offended - just search before asking to get your answers much faster.

  • Mozilla is aware of the problem with protected in Flash Mode?

Today I started to have problems to view integrated in Firefox 12 Flash content. I tried all the usual steps (for example to clear cache, disable extensions, update the plugin and then finally of this update to Firefox 13) but nothing worked.

Then I found an Adobe forum which some contributors have experienced the same thing in the last days, and it seems to have had a problem with the Protected Mode in the latest version of the Flash player. I disabled this mode and everything now works perfectly again - so I thought I would bring it to your attention in case others have the same problem.

The Adobe support article is here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0

    Hope you find it useful...

Thank you, cor - el. Hope there is a fix before long, otherwise it doesn't seem to be that much interest in the application Adobe mode protected in the first place!

  • Why do I have problems with my Adobe Flash Player crashing constantly on some games on Facebook?

I play a lot of games on Facebook. I started to have a problem with my "flash player crashing..." I uninstalled all Adobe products and their reinstalled nothing doesn't. It seems to happen more when I use the Zynga Games. I don't understand why this is the case and certainly do not know what to do about it. Of course, I'd be grateful for any help you can give me!

Some Flash games may take longer to load, so you need to increase the time-out on the protection of the accident. See Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - avoid that it happen.

  • Problem with opening the flash drive

I can't open any Flash drive. I try to install the latest version they wil not open, even with the plugin and activex. What should do? While trying to fix it, I uninstalled all the flash player aswel and activex plug-in. How to fix this?

  • Major problem with transparency using Flash Player 11 on IE 9 with Intel HD graphics card

There are some problems with Flash Player 11,0,1,152 with Intel HD graphics card when using Internet Explorer 9 with hardware acceleration enabled.

    Transparencies are not working!

They appear just like the black areas on the page when wmode = "transparent".

See my bug for details, test URL and screenshots.

    I logged a bug:

    https://bugs.Adobe.com/jira/browse/ASC-4370

I've also seen a few similar posts:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/3992938

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/3992736

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/3992735

To work around this problem, you can disable hardware acceleration in the settings of IE9 to prevent this, but performance is terrible and this is not a solution.

Can someone from Adobe please tell me when this is likely to be resolved - this is a pretty catestrophic bug!

    Everyone knows this?

    Thank you

    Luke

Transparency bug has been fixed in 11.1.102.55 to today release so please check if your problem still exists or resolved. It is useful if you update result on above bugs.

  • Problems with fonts in InDesign CS3 in Snow Leopard

Has anyone else had problems with the font book and InDesign CS3?

Just had some new Mac Mini running Snow Leopard against Migration Assistant an old Mini. Initially, every thing seems to be great. But on the opening of the ads in Indd CS3 I noticed that fonts disappeared, even if they have been enabled in the font book.

Then I reinstalled the necessary fonts and we don't use iLife and iTools products, I traded the Helvetica TrueType for the version of Adobe.

    It does not work...

So, I have rebuilt the Mac fonts installed, once again, a CD original and installed InDesign CS3 clean (orig DVD)...

Yet once again, did not work.

Now, I know I can put fonts required in the folder Fonts in InDesign, or store them in ~/Library/Fonts, but since we have a library of 3000 + policies that manage our users with the font book, it will become unworkable.

Anyone could launch a patch or fix this, another way...?

There is a Snow Leopard update, you will need to search in preferences/software update system after the upgrade. After the reboot, this problem has been elminated for me, fortunately!

  • Problem with swf in IE

    Hello

I have a problem with my movie swf in IE. When I consult my websit in IE there is a line gray round the moive swf and if I move the mouse over the video swf my mouse turn into a hand pointing button. If I click on the swf video gray line disappear. I don't have this problem using FireFox. Any help would be appreicated. Thank you!

This is due to changes in Microsoft IE to avoid breaching the
(stupid) EOLAS patent. It applies to all control activex that can interact
    with the user.

If you visit a web site, you can really do something for this problem,
    except complain to the webmaster

Here is a link to find information on how to fix your Web site to deal with
    activeX active content changes:

  • Problem with links in Dreamweaver CS3 site root

I have problems with the links from the root of the site when I'm working on my localhost with Dreamweaver CS3.

I'm building a site with PHP, MySQL using the WAMP server. I have a page (www.site.com/index.php) I want to copy in the subdirectories (e.g. www.site.com/about/index.php) then I want to do the copy as painless as possible by using the links from the site root (e.g. /about/index.php). It works on the internet but NOT on localhost.

Why is this? What can we do? Is there a fix if it is a bug? This seems like a simple thing, but it's such a problem.

    > Why is it?

Because when your (local) server see is you run to the
ROOT, he goes to ITS root, and rather than the Web site root (for example, htdocs or Inetpub).
You can work around this by using virtual hosts (google it).

  • Problems with the two Flash/Shockwave

I have problems with both Flash and Shockwave players. I went to the help pages for both of these players and I followed all of the suggestions that they had players not playing not even if they are installed. I have ActiveX enabled in Internet properties, security software is not in any way afilliated with this problem, which leaves me with being puzzled and frustrated. I hope you guys can help out me if possible, anyway. Also, when I try to reinstall Flash and Shockwave, flash "installed successfully" two videos do not appear.

I say well, the possibility of an accidental uninstallment of two plugins not too long could have led to this problem.

    Thank you.
