a1720n cannot start after the installation of the DVD from LG GGC-H20L drive

I installed the unit and connected to the second channel SATA (blue) and the computer would not start.  Disconnected and the system returns to normal operation.  It appeared that the system was able to read a correct reader type in the BIOS.  I couldn't find any instructions online documentation SATA configuration.  I will apprecaite the ideas or the BTDT there!  Thansks!

Thanks for your quick responses!  I advanced and tried to just connect the drive again and the system booted properly.

When I said that the system does not boot, it would go beyond the BIOS screen but should restart after trying toload windows.  Subsequently an any a GUI recovery came, ather than aloowing system to restore from an earlier time, I told him to try an automatic recovery.  This process was then several minutes before failing.

  • HP Pavilion DV4-1125nr cannot start after the update/update BIOS version F.12 to d.55

System: HP Pavilion DV4-1125nr PC Notebook

    Product #: FR922UAR #AB

    The system board ID: 30F7

Version of the BIOS (before the update): F.12

    OS: Windows 7

I tried to update the BIOS to d.55 which was provided by HP. After the successful installation the closure of new windows BIOS correctly. I restart the PC, HP Logo appears and then nothing happens. The operating system do not load or start at all.

I also tried to boot using the Windows 98 Second edition CD (to charge BACK), but it did not work.

    Please help me...

Fortunately I found a Solution to this problem.

Here are the summaries (and modified according to my needs) the steps that I've taken of the following thread:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-hardware/dv4-1140GO-won-t-boot-after-flashing-latest-BIOS/m-p/19698#M2730

    1. go to the hp site and download the correct version of your BIOS. In my case it had to F.12. Why not the latest version? Because there is no guarantee that the last one will work for you, know after measures.

    2. go where you downloaded the file and using 7 - Zip (or tool of your choice of course) unzip the contents to a folder of your choice. We'll get to that later, so keep this file open.

    3. use 128 MB or no matter what key-USB USB key (the smallest, you might find, because they said the smaller the better ) and reformatted to FAT or FAT32 click with the right button on the drive by clicking on "format".

    4. now that my USB is ready, go back to the folder where you extracted the file to update the BIOS (always open to the right of the folder?)

"5. If you have the graphics card Intel integrated like me, copy the ' 30F7F12U. FD"of the key USB and RENAME the file '30F7F12U. FD' at '30F7. BIN ". Remember that this name calling to order "DV4-1125nr. If you have a different motherboard, the system or the BIOS, the name must be determined according to the.

The next steps are exact 0.0 as follows (the link of a full detailed discussion is provided below), I simply numbered:

6 unplug the adapter from the laptop.

7 remove the battery from the laptop.

8 insert the USB key into one of the USB ports on the laptop.
Does not seem to matter which.

    9. press the 'Windows' key and the 'B' key

    10. connected to the power adapter.

11 press the 'Power' button on the laptop.

    12. when the LED is entered, letting go of the power button / stop and the two keys down earlier.

    13. After about 10 seconds the notebook started to read the USB key. While searching for the file, the laptop beeps every seconds.
The number of beeps varied, depending on what size of the key USB has been and
the number of files on the USB key, a single beep for many.
If the file was not found, the laptop will restart and try again.

    14. If the file is found then it took about 12 seconds for the laptop to load. No beeps sound not heard during the loading time.

    15. when it is responsible for the laptop has started flashing, indicated by beeps every 2 seconds. It took about 32 seconds.

    16. about 5 seconds after the ringtone had stopped off the laptop computer.

First I update my pc with the last BIOS (F.66), but did not work for me (operating system not loaded after HP Logo ). So I decided to go back to the old F.12 (the version that has been shipped when the laptop was purchased) according to the procedure described above. But the problem is where to find version F.12 as HP currently provides links only for the version of the BIOS F.66 to d.55 (in the drivers from the hp support site section)

Fortunately, I found a direct link to this version F.12 in the next thread.

    http://Forum.NotebookReview.com/HP-Compaq/304332-C700-CQ40-CQ45-dv4-dv5-DV6-hdx18t-Insyde-BIOS-recovery-using-USB-thumbdrive-2.html

    F.12 version:

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp40501-41000/sp40749.exe

This was F.12 and worked for me. Thank God Almighty I return my PC.

Thanks to all who contributed in the discussions above.

    Kind regards

    Hello

    VMware support solve my problem:

We have seen two issues after the update.

First of all, there is no user of the solution for the virtual center when I checked the application users with SSO to the webclient service administration page.

    Solve us this problem of repointing Virtual Centre to the next according to the kb SSO instance;

    http://KB.VMware.com/kb/2033620

    1. repoint.cmd configure vc - search server https://vcenter.com:7444/lookupservice/sdk - password "laquesea" - openssl-path of the user "admin@System-Domain"-"C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\Inventory Service\bin."

After that, the modules in the vpxd.cfg solution was not properly updated and an operation manual.

    C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\SSL\sso.crt

    vCenterServer_251703

    C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\SSL\sso.key

Above is the corrected version having replaced "null" with the correct path to the files of certificate and key.

This allowed vcenter service start successfully.

  • Windows 2003 fails to start after the conversion from a virtual hard disk with vSphere Standalone Converter 4.0.1

    Hello

I've recently updated my host to vSphere 4. I've also upgraded to vSphere Converter 4.0.1. However, when I convert a Microsoft Windows 2003 virtual hard drive in vSphere, the resulting virtual machine does not start. He gets just after the BIOS screen, then turns black with only a white line in the upper left corner of the console.

I tried the hot and cold conversions. I tried changing the different settings of default conversion. I tried to remove the source machine and recreate.

It worked well under ESX3.5, so I wonder what I'm doing wrong on vSphere.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thank you.

In v4 disk are in SCSI format only.

Probably also the source was in the SCSI format... so v7 to the IDE format give you not configured in the bootloader of the disks.

    Hello
I got my 400 U since May and it was great before that. I close the lid of my computers to sleep, but I accidentally moved.my wireless mouse. I opened it to put it to sleep again when I was greeted with a screen that I recognize not so I restarted the computer. Now, he can't move before the initial startup screen Lenovo. It says to press fn + f2 to set up or fn + f12 for.multiboot. No command works. The recover button, which brings me to the screen as well. What should I do? PS I have Windows 8 if it's important.

ITunes does not start after the installation of Windows 10, 1511 version (OS Build 10586.164). ITunes version 12.3.2.35, 6 GB RAM, Intel i3 @3.3 GHz. Fix unexpectedly closes or problems of launch in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support

Solution, according to this link, is:

If the problem does not occur in Mode safe, remove any third party plug-ins iTunes: solving problems with third party plug-ins - Support Apple iTunes but the link has been archived, and I can't find any plug-ins installed iTunes. Any other ideas?

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

    I have a cd/dvd drive of work.
I don't have an XP bootable installation CD

Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

My first suggestion is to do a system restore at this time point.

second suggestion is to keep your external drive connected to the pc at all times.  only detach when necessary.   of course, it would be better to install a second hard drive in the computer instead.   in any case, keep your personal files out of the system disk is a wise thing to do.   You can also download and store files for free on the Microsoft Skydrive site.

third suggestion is to keep your system set upward through executing a check disk and Defrag at least once a month.   Basically, you can open the Explorer and right-click on the drive letter.  then select Properties, and on the Tools tab, you will have the opportunity to run the disk check.  then reboot and do a Defrag.   where this disk check fails, then you will need to run it to the drive via a bootable cd prompt.

Interestingly, I don't know if the bootable cd that you made you allows to run the disk check.

so my suggestion is to do a series of tests using your cd bootable your computer works.  see if you can actually run a chkdsk/r at the moment with them.    If Yes, then if your constant worries are having bad sectors on the hard disk, chkdsk/r will identify and mark so windows will jump on them.    in any case, see if your boot at the moment media can run a check disk at all, and let me know.

fifth proposal is to install "microsoft security essentials" like your anti virus program.  even if you have run ubantu, it is not likely to have been an infected copy.   anti - are most critical virus for windows and not not so much for ubantu or linux is because windows is a system of world class operations.    the people who make the virus deliberately their engineer for the windows operating system.   If, however, ubantu and linux have been just as popular as Windows, virus engineers would make infections for the o.s. too.     Although they no doubt, attacks are more frequent for the windows os.
