Processor AMD Phenom 9150e Quad-Core

I want to update my previous post. HP support has just informed me that my processor has four-processor 1.8 ghz, integrated into a processor and it will run to approximately 6 GHz. From my calculations, if that were true, it should work to 7.2 ghz. It seems that I get a different answer depending on who reads my email. What I want to know is can I run a TV tuner card thatrewuires a 2.2 ghz processor, but I can't get them to answer this question. Help!

I just replied to your previous post:

Everything I've seen says a 1.8 ghz processor, but it's a Quad Core. Probably the specs say you need a processor 2.2 ghz P4 or something like that. The processor you have is much faster than a single core 2.2 ghz cpu. I would be shocked if she can't handle a tv tuner.

You can only install the processor AMD Phenom 9350 X 4 in addition to what you have. It is 2 ghz and not worth the hassle of upgrading.

HP response is not exactly true. You can't just multiply by the number of hearts clock speed... it's not as simple as that. But in the concept, it is true that a Quad Core (4 processors on the same chip) is much faster than 1 core the same speed as I said above. You have a very powerful computer. There is never the fastest for more than a day or 2 it seems but yours is certainly in the top 4 or 5% of all the computers in the House over yonder. Next year, it will be in the top 10% and the year after, etc.

I am running MS Windows Vista Edition home premium on a motherboard ASUS M3A78-CM very w / AMD Phenom II x 4 940 3.0 Ghz 6 MB Quad Core, 2 GB of RAM.  It is an upgrade to an AMD Athlon 64 X 2 5800 + 3.0 Ghz.  The two see the single core cpu in the Task Manager, cpuz, msconfig, etc..  However, the BIOS displays 1 physical cpu w / 4 logical processors.  In addition, the reason for which I have not even noticed the problem, is that I play a resource intensive game called Crysis Wars and my fps SUCK.  This led me to the problem.  Wars started, the console displays only a single core as well during the detection of the spu.  I need to know if the game software is read directly from the hardware OR of Vista.

I have tried everything to fix the problem, including the use of msconfig to clear the number of processors, select detect HAL, reboot, etc.  Did not work.  I suspect that this is a license live upward, from Microsoft, but will not know until I have install another OS to test.  My next move (when I can afford it) is to install XP or Linux to see if these operating systems can detect all four cores.  If it works then I know it's the fault of Vista.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook incompatible with processor AMD PHENOM II N660 g6

    Hello

I'm having a problem with the upgrade of processor in my laptop.

Product name: HP Pavilion Notebook PC g6

    Product number: QJ283EA #ABU

The processor I bought is an AMD Phenom II N660, which is supposed to be compatible according to this pdf:

    http://www.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02770249.PDF

However when I took my laptop apart to place the new processor, the processor socket does not match the pins of the processor. Hope that makes sense? I'm not an expert in computers, but have some knowledge about them.

What can I do? I can do to solve this problem, such as buying a new CPU socket or is this something that can be changed? From what I can tell the processor seems to be compatible according to the information on the above pdf file, shouldn't the pins so the same thing?

Thanks for reading and I hope that someone knows how to help me!

If the initially installed CPU of AMD E-Series, then the card system accepts only processors socket BGA413 .

If the CPU is an AMD processor, A-series then was FS1

The CPU you have purchased is a Socket S1 type (S1g4).

The upgrade of the processor requires a bit more to watch maintenance & Service guide as a reference. The guide assumes that you have all the knowledge of the accessory. This is why tt is intended for HP Service centers and technicians.

  • processor power. i5? Quad core?

Hello, this question has been buggin me for awhile! When you buy a computer, the said processor is dual core, i3, i5, or i7. What do these numbers mean? An i7 will be also called a quad core or a core of six. And that, to me, does not make a lot of sense... yet.

    Hi Tim,.

Double heart (meaning two) has two chips of treatment in the processor. Core quad (four) has four of them. All the carrots are on the same chip. Then, they share the same memory and the path of data in the motherboard. Thus, a chip image may be able to execute instructions four times faster than the dual core.

Intel i3, i5, and i7 processors first and second generation with represents divisions low-end, mid-range and high level of the nucleus, which is Prime Minister brand of Intel Corp. semiconductor company of consumer CPUs from mid-2011. As a result, three computer chips contain several notable differences. In addition, the Intel Core i7 has a subcategory called Extreme Edition performance based.

Core I7s are preferable to the Core i5s, who in turn are better than Core i3s. Nope, Core i7 does not seven to six hearts or Core i3 has three nuclei. The numbers are simply indicative of their relative processing powers.

Their relative level of processing power is also meant their side Star Intel processor based on a set of criteria involving their number of cores, clock (in GHz) speed, size of the cache, as well as some new Intel technologies.

    Hope this information was useful.

  • AMD Phenom II x 6 processor?

    Hello

While ordering a new desktop machine.

For a year or two we will probably move our servers to ESXi I thought I would try to install on my new desktop computer and run my 'pc' in a virtual machine, then I can familiarize yourself with the product. I also run a couple of virtual servers to try stuff on this machine.

The pc, I thought I would use a processor "AMD Phenom II X 6 1090 t." (good price over the year with 6 cores), but I don't know if it will work with ESX.

    Anyone know?

Or is it a bad idea to use ESX on office?

    Thank you, Bryce.

No BIOS updates to the still for your 320-1030 TS, based on 'Software downloads & Driver for HP TouchSmart 320-1030 desktop'. Do not expect to see an update that supports a CPU "unlocked" as HP does not generally support this configuration.

  • Upgrade my CPU AMD Phenom II x 4 910 to a Phenom II x 4 980 on a H-RS880-Μatx (Aloe)

I have a HP Pavillion e9220y which I would like to make a few CPU and GPU upgrade.

I did some research and saw that the current processor (AMD Phenom II x 4 910 (2.6 ghz)) can be upgraded to the AMD Phenom II x 4 980 (3.7 ghz) cpu.  I also intend on the old graphics card (Radeon HD 4350) in switching to a Radeon 7850.

I tried to see if I needed to update my bios before install the new processor and I couldn't find a suggestion in the section Support & drivers specific to the HP Web site for my model computer.  The HP site says that he would suggest somehow if an update was available.

Do you think I can just proceed with the switch of CPU (and the radiator and the stages of thermal paste of course) without flashing new bios?

The old Bios simply would work with the new processor (faster processing speed)?

The current Bios on my system is ' American Megatrends, Inc. 5.04, 10/01/2009 "and SMBIOS version 2.6

Thanks for all the help you can give me,

I have the HP Pavilion p6116f.  I tried to upgrade the processor and bought the AMD Phenom Quad Core 9850 Agena from tigerdirect.com, firmly believing that he was compatible in my sytem.

I later learned that the 9850 Quad Core has been made to the 125 watts instead of the 95. Is this the reason why it is not compatible with my system? If anyone knows upgrades processor of success for this advice, please let me know.

    Hello

It is very possible that HP has published false information.  The original processor for your PC has a TDP of 95 watts and is the card mother socket AM2 +.

All these AMD processors are embedded for AM2 + with a TDP of 95 watts.  Remember that you have the latest version of the bios installed on your PC.

  • Is temp CPU to 131-140 iron an AMD Athlon II X 4 620 2.6 GHz Quad - Core Processor normal or high?

I have just instlalled an AMD Athlon II X 4 620 2.6 GHz Quad - Core (ADX620WFK42GI) instead of my 2 215 dual core athlon processor and my temporary hoovers around iron 131-140. is this normal operating temp?   Cause now my CPU fan turns up every 5 minutes for about 5 min and it never ran full front

As tetraethyle3 says, if you use the one provided with the dual core cpu, it can
be insufficient. Dual-core coolers are similar, but not the same thing.
However, you may have gotten the paste application heat badly too.
There are tutorials of application of thermal paste on the i-net.

Try a Coolermaster EVO Hyper 212.
They are well regarded as a good value for the effective cooler money. You have to
remove the motherboard to mount, unless you have a case with a hole in the motherboard tray to allow replacement of cooler.

All three AMD I've used for the Athlon 64 came out slowed in the bass
    40 c in summer, but my Phenom 965 now stands at 35 ° C (temperature of 22 c air).
In the summer with temperatures of air between 28-32 + C it will hit 60-65 ° C under full load.
The stock AMD cooler also kept the 965 at similar times, but unlike my previous
AMD coolers the fan was loud, so I installed a Noctua U9 with fan only.

  • Pavilion 550z: is the A6 AMD processor - 8550 Quad Core or not?

I am mixes signals that the AMD a6-8550 processor is Quad Core or not.  As I read the document of AMD for this processor, I see that it contains 2 CPU and 4 GPU (a "APU" using architecture HSA).  But in the announcement of HP, it explicitly says "Quad Core".

I was under the assumption that the GPU are used for video processing, but the documentation AMD says that the GPU use also for general treatment.

I'm not a 'gamer', and I wanted a machine at a reasonable price (the 550z Pavilion) to run several virtual OS, so having 4 cores was very attractive to me.

Can someone clarify the situation?  Thank you.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

  • Compaq presario cq5500f: Cpu - amd phenom x 4 quad core 9950

    Hello

I recently bought the quadruple-heart phenom x 4 125w 9950 and wanted to update my one heart amd sempron 140.

I bought with the intention to upgrade my compaq presario cq5500f so that I can use it as a gaming pc.

However, when I put the cpu in the pc it says no "supported installed Cpu" and then it stops automatically after.

Is this a driver problem? Is this a bios problem? Is this a problem of design of thermal power?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Here IS THE page of the motherboard and the choice of the CPU.  He says that the CPU should be TDP: 95W processor said is the AMD Phenom X 4 9950, which is a 125W CPU.  I suspect that's the reason why the BIOS claims not supported CPU.  OEM motherboards are picky about the card like that.

  • Memory max to HP dv7 running with AMD Phenom II N830 Triple-Core Processor 2.10 GHz

I have a Pavilion dv7 with an AMD Phenom II N830, 2.10 GHz processor.  She currently has 4.00 GB memory and running a 64-bit operating system.  I would like to increase the memory.  Is this possible with this system and which is of the type/maximum memory to buy?

I've never had the case open, so I guess that it has two memory slots, but I don't know.

    Thank you!

I think that all dv7s can run at least 8 GB of memory, but you must give us the full model number to see if you need DDR2 or DDR3 and so maybe you can perform 16 concerts.

It seems likely, he is in the dv7-4000 series and uses DDR3 and tops out at 8 gigs. I can assure you that it has two memory slots under the large door on the bottom. You have probably 2 x 2 GB in there.
