Product key to reinstall vista
I currently have a functional pc with vista. However I need to reinstall vista to fix some problems, but I don't have the original documents that came with my PC. How can I get the product key or other codes necessary to reinstall vista from the recovery discs? The disks were recently obtained from the bridge and do not have my key on them.
Mike
Hello
Control Panel - system - the bottom of the page - can take a minute or two to appear.
These other methods must also resolve the problem if needed.
Your product code must be on the CD/DVD provided with the device or back/under the computer.
If this isn't the case, they will find it for you. These are not cracks - they find your product key on your machine.

Cannot find the product key to reinstall Vista
I want to reinstall Windows Vista to clean my Toshiba laptop, but when I bought it, it came with the Windows Vista disc. When I searched the help options, they said I have a sticker on my laptop that has the product key to this topic. I'm sure that I have this sticker, but it is worn out, so I can't read the key top. Is there another way for me to recover this product key, so I can reinstall Windows Vista?
Hello
Key Finder programs are useless to use on the OEM of the computer like Toshiba, Acer, etc.
They will only find a product key that is used on several computers during the Manufactuering which is of no use to you when reinstalling the operating system.
These programs are only useful to find retail operating system product keys, which then can be used.

Follow these steps to reinstall Vista:
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.
http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp
And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
With a Toshiba recovery process can be started by pressing 0 (zero) at startup. (Power on / start)
This is Toshibs; has instructions on this subject.
"How restore your laptop Toshiba to its state of charge software factory using system recovery"
https://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/bulletinDetail.jsp?soID=2737864&PF=true
The methods above resettlement generally do not require allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

I have a right problem, my computer laptop need to format I have product key for windows vista home basic 32 bit service pack 2 but no cd, please help me
Hello
There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.
And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them to the proper key sequence.
And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.
Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.
If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks
Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

I bought a pc where it allows to be on Vista, the licens sticker is still on the pc, but I don't have a dvd, is anyway I can get Vista on back the pc without having to buy a new license?Hello
You don't need a new license.
Here are a few ways to reinstall Vista.
There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.
To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246
And if you never received a recovery disk when you bought / got your computer it should / can be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them to the proper key sequence.
Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

My product key of Windows Vista parts are missing.
Missing product key-frame = my windows vista family premium product-part are missing and I can't get the rest * removed *.
Hello
Contact the manufacturer of your computer on the ways to solve this problem.
If you want to reinstall Vista.
1. ask thrm if you have a recovery Partition on the hard drive to take it back to the factory settings (new condition)
You have to press F10, F11, etc. depending on the manufacturer; ask them to know the exact details.
2. ask to send you recovery discs to do the same.
They normally charge a small cost for this service.
Using one of the above methods normally does not require a product key for input on your part, because these recovery methods use product key factory of the manufacturer of Installation, which is used on several machines to activate with your motherboard.

What is the difference that can be detected on the product key between XP & Vista
I reinstall a Vista OS on a new drive for a friend, because the old drive went kaput.
The problem is that she was given only a Vista upgrade disc no disc full when she bought new a little over a year.
Upgrade disc has no product key, but on the bottom of the laptop, there is actually a windows product key.
It was purchased from Circuit City now newly owned, but I'm not some cases the product key on the lower part of the machine
is the original code of XP & Circuit City does an upgrade quick & dirty, or if it has been shipped with theupgrade already installed this HP way?I need to know if there are telltale signs to differentiate the tags based on OS?
Thank you
