    Hello

    • What type of file you are trying to open?

I suggest to change the default program and check.

How to change or choose the program that starts when you double-click a file in Windows XP

  • Cannot open attachments to emails or some document files, like the downloaded videos or greeting cards. I get the message "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action.

Original title: this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action... etc.

cannot open attachments to emails or some document files, like the downloaded videos or greeting cards.  I tried the exe file. thing and it is already in my folder of files.  Need a fix.  Had this problem 2 months ago and that's where the exe. has been applied.  Has worked since then until today.

    Hello

    1. what changes have been made to your computer before the problem?

I suggest that you follow these steps and check to see if they help.

    Step 1:

If the problem occurred recently, perform the System Restore to the point that your computer was working normally.

    Step 2:

Test the issue in a new user account and check if the problem persists.

  • Cannot delete unused or temporary Internet files Program files with "Disk Cleanup".

    1. impossible to delete unused or temporary Internet files Program files with "Disk Cleanup".

2 cannot run Word Office 97. Tried to delete it and then put it back, twice

3 cannot run "restore." When I do, he wants to restore my AUDIO files!  I tried restoring the system through the optimization of PC

    4. having reinstalled Windows XP twice, with the same results

Select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning disk to emptying your trash, delete temporary Internet files and other selected options. I recommend also you click Other Options, System Restore and delete all but the last system restore point. Run Disk Defragmenter.

Using the system restore option is most appropriate when your system is slow and you need to increase the free disk space on your C partition. If you have errors that could be solved by using the system restore to your system settings back to before the error occurred initially do not use this option.

If more than one person uses the computer and they have their own user log you need to run Disk Cleanup in each user profile that you want to delete all the unwanted files.

A better program of disk cleanup is cCleaner. Delete System Restore points may be important if you have little free disk space. The ability to delete them is one of the tools options. You can selectively remove those created in less important moments.

cCleaner comes with a registry tool. Do not use this tool as any registry cleaner could lead to the creation of very difficult to resolve system errors.

Office 97. You do not delete the programs. You uninstall using the installation, accessed by selecting Start, Control Panel, add / remove programs.
