Programs and browser suddenly fail on Xp.

My problem on my laptop that works under Xp sp3. There are several times when I use Chrome, Firefox or IE it looks suddenly "shockwave flash failed" and not related to the browser together programs would crash or say "error please insert an installation disc," sometimes even my Norton AntiVirus just pop up and say 'antivirus has been extinguished', but after a system restart everything seems back to normal not until he is suddenly up like all programs has failed. I always update my virus definitions and scan my laptop but it is clean. The laptop does not slow down or make any what else bad is just a matter sometimes of programs all of a sudden I think it has to do with the problem of the shock wave, failure can be. I was wondering what is the problem and how to fix it. Thank you

You cannot have two ANTIVIRUS at the same time, or need more running real-time antivirus, malwarebytes, free version do you use on a scanner at the request. I scan a quick scan whenever I'm on the internet, takes a few minutes and every week or if I run a full scan.

AVG is also prone problem, but if it works for you use it.

    If your computer is overheating, it could certainly cause the symptoms you describe. There is no way I can accurately diagnose a problem of overheating or material without be practical with the machine. Many people like SpeedFan temperature of Windows testing program. Some motherboard mftrs. have their own diagnostic utilities. Prime95 is a great stress test.

    Start > type CMD

    Right click on CMD and select run as administrator

    Type sfc/scannow

    Press enter

    Note: There is a space between sfc and / scannow

    Asked may to your recovery media if there are missing or corrupt files therefore have the DVD handy.

    I had a problem with an excessive amount of pop ups lately in my chrome browser and found a few basic programs installed on my laptop. I tried to uninstall the malicious software through programs and features, but when I type on uninstall or remove nothing happens, and the program won't uninstall.

    I tried to restart and uninstall then again through programs and features, but had the same result.

    Y at - it another way to uninstall programs in windows 8, or someone has suggestions?

Firefox logo appears in the start bar but when I click on it see no firefox browser, totally empty tabs.     When you reset Firefox and a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, data form) are automatically imported and the current profile folder will be moved on the desktop to a folder "Old data Firefox".
    Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, Pref.) that you have made are lost and must be redone.

    It is possible to retrieve the data from the old profile, but be careful not to copy the files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

    Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

    If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.
