  Your idea should work perfectly and is how some would approach it.

  Another approach would be to just the part of the text of the State above the buttons.  This way you shouldn't have any code to display text as the button symbols have their States included with them.

• CC 2014 GUI/sliders Illustrator way too big on 1080 p display

  I have a 8.1 of Windows laptop computer with a 1080 p display and have all of the scaling in the middle (125%).

  At the launch of CC 2014 Illustrator (and Indesign CC 2014), the GUI is HUGE.  It's as if they are the scale to 200%, even though I'm only 125%.  This could be good for a "Retina" or quad HD screen, but for just a HD screen, this wastes just goods valuable screen real estate and cursors are comically large and not specific at all.

  I tried to turn off the scale by right-clicking on the application, in the Compatibility tab and select 'Disable the display timing of ppp settings high' resolution, but it has no effect on what looks like the graphical interface.  It seems that Illustrator can see a kind of scale and automatically assume I want it increased to 200% disregarding what Windows is telling it to do.

  Is it possible to disable this option and return to no scaling at all?  Or better yet, let the really listen to the Windows of 125% setting?

  You can try another solution. Set a UI_SCALE_FACTOR = 1 environment variable

  I am running Windows 7, and today I updated to version 40.0.2 of Firefox and then encountered the following problem.

  Text I entered in the browser's address bar does not appear, or appear irregularly, as by displaying only after that I get a certain number of characters.

• My MBP with retina display has no top file, but storage information still show a lot of memory being exhausted by audio, photos and movies.

  Recently, my MacBook Pro with retina display has started to run out of memory, so I moved all my downloads and stuff in my external hard drive. After the transfer, I had some good 20 GBs free and my folder all my files to completely empty.

  

  But even now when I go into storage under the about this Mac information, it shows that more 1 GB of audio files, about 800 MB of photos and 500 MB of movies.

  

  Using the search option (and put a black space in the search bar), I discovered a few files in the Mac section, but they were barely a few MBs in size, and no audio or images or movies were present there.

  Where are all these "hidden audio, photographs and films that take about 3 GB of space from my hard drive? I am naïve.

  Since this morning (and the most recent upgrade apparently) I feel serious display problems when scrolling with my mouse upwards or downwards on a Web site: the whole text and other components of the page is displayed to the left or to the right and becomes so blurred that it is completely unreadable.   I tried to:

  -create a new Boolean value called "layout.paint_rects_separately" (without the quotes) and set the value to true
  -Implementation gfx.content.azure.enabled; false
  -Implementation gfx.direct2d.disabled; true

  -Disable all add-ons

  Any of these changed nothing to my problem.

  Any suggestion on how to fix this is welcome.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

  (If you use it, switch to the default theme).

  • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
  • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
  • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

  

  Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

  

  If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

• left-click on the icon of firefox in the taskbar displays a list of all the tabs. How to open just to the last tab?

  I use the tab grouping feature a lot. It means that I have 100s of tabs open at any time.

  The problem: once a switch between tab groups, the Firefox icon in the task bar changes in what looks like multiple echoes of the Firefox icon. I guess this is supposed to represent several groups of tabs.

  Before the 20th of Firefox might click on the Firefox icon in the taskbar, and would come to the top and show the last tab, I worked on Firefox.

  Since Firefox 20 a left click on the Firefox icon in the task bar now displays a list of the 28 tab + seemingly random tabs. Many of them said only: "Mozilla Firefox" instead of the site represented by this tab (because the tab has not been accessed recently).

  To open Firefox to the last tab, that I worked on is now a real chore. I now have to choose one of these tabs 28 + (which is 99% of the time the tab bad), then switch to the Group of the appropriate tab and then find the tab I've worked on. It usually takes 5-10 clicks to get back to where I was before I've minimized Firefox, or before that Firefox has lost focus. (In the past I could simply click on the Firefox in the taskbar, and restored Firefox icon where I left last.)

  How can I disable the list that is displayed when a left click or move the mouse over the Firefox icon in the taskbar? I would like the ability to minimize/restore Firefox by clicking on the Firefox icon in the taskbar, as it was in the past, do not get a choice of random tabs.

  I think that I thought about it. Under OPTIONS > OPTIONS > TAB, uncheck the box for "Show glimpses of tab in the Windows task bar" and then click OK

• Cannot display migrated photo library

  I use a desktop Mac and a laptop Mac Air.  Running both OS X 10.11.4 and Photos 1.5.  In order to have all my photos available in one place, while ensuring a backup of all my photos, I recently copied the libraries of each machine in the file of photos in the other.  However I can't open/view any libraries migrated.

  When I double click on the library migrated in the Finder I get this message: 'could NOT OPEN the MIGREE LIBRARY. The content of the "Library_Desktop.migratedphotolibrary Photos" iPhoto library has already migrated to the Photos.  Open the Photos to display your library or use a compatible version of iPhoto to open the iPhoto library. "

  When I open the Photos app while pressing the "option" key and am offers a choice of libraries, the library migrated is not one of my choices.  When I click on through 'the other' I can see the library migrated but it appears dimmed and does not open.

  I hope someone can help with this problem. Thank you.

  Change the file name of the iPhotoLibrary.migratedphotolibrary in .photolibrary just extension.  Photos for Mac will be able to open it.
